Proposal for new fandom etiquette:
If you read a fic because it was linked/recced somewhere, you leave a comment saying "came from XXX" and that comment doesn't need to include anything else.
Because when all of a sudden there's a lot of activity on one particular fic I WANNA KNOW WHY!!!!!
#one time my fic got included in one of those 'funny ao3 tags' videos#and i got a super nice comment from someone who'd watched it AND they hyped my fic up in youtube comments section#they were a true fandom mvp#one of the best things that happened to me in fandom#the best thing is the podfic someone made for a community fic me and my bff wrote#the other best thing is the hot dog legato comic dub#another best thing was the russian translation of my ofmd fic#the youtube video thing made me feel like a celebrity#💃💃💃#OHH and a few times people read through all my fics for a specific fandom and comment on ALL. OF. THEM#i really appreciate it thankyouuuuuu 🥰
