Under the apartment building rushed cars and fast riders and flying and speeding Reploids. The air was chilly, but strangely comfortable. And if it weren’t for the city lights like jewelry, they’d all see the glittering stars that definetly lay ahead.

And perched on the roof of that apartment building was none other than Speed Lacewing and her friend, Sting Chameleon. They each had an e-can in their hands.

“And I said, “Well, if you’re so smart, try and outsmart me, Simmy!”.” Sting Chameleon exclaimed.

“And then what?” Speed Lacewing inquired.

“Well, I used my little ol’ trick and almost got hit!” Sting Chameleon exclaimed.

They both had a chuckle at that.

They sighed.

“The city’s nothin’ like the country. Even in 21XX, it’s all fields and stars and gals like me.” Speed Lacewing noticed.

“Gals like you? Whatdya’ mean, Speedster?” Sting Chameleon inquired; he sipped his energy.

“Well, every girl here tells me, “Lacewing, you can’t say that!”. “Lacewing, be ladylike!”. “Lacewing, you can be successful and not act like a gruff child!”. Saying I have to be some fancy talkin’, polite, girly lawyer archetype because now I’m in the city and can’t be as wild as I’d please.” Speed Lacewing complained.

“Oof. Bummer. Well, never change, Lacewing. I didn’t change when I became a hunter!” He spoke.

They put their arms around each other like siblings would.

It was quiet, nothing but the cool wind and the rushing vehicles below.

Then Sting followed up with something.

“Hey, I wanna show you something.”.

“Hm? Oh, really? What is it?” Speed Lacewing asked.

“It’s a surprise. One of my projects.”; he followed up with a mischievous chuckle.

The next minute, she had him by the arms and was flying towards their destination: the building where he lived.

Nothing but the cool, rushing air as she dashed towards their destination.

At the entrance of the building, they went inside. And up those metal stairs, their armor boots thumping loudly against them.

“Another prank, Stinger?”.

“Sort of. In a sense.”.

They went inside the living room.

And went to his bedroom.

And then a side room-wait, hold on a minute.

“Hold on a minute, pal, when did you get this room installed?” Speed Lacewing asked.

“It was here when I got here.”.

They walked to a table with a sheet over it.

“Now, here it is: my magnum opus.” Sting Chameleon chuckled, rubbing his hands together.

He clutched the sheet.

And pulled it.

“Voila!”.

Speed Lacewing gasped.

On a metal tray…lay a rabbit…

It was dead, but had a piece of equipment stuck to it.

“Um…Sting?”.

“I know, I know, but hear me out! The greatest weapon of all: our namesakes! Under my control! In the forest, or-or not even to do our jobs! We can use them for anything we want!” Sting Chameleon laughed.

Speed Lacewing’s eyes went to the deceased rabbit.

Okay, this…looked bad…but it was just a stupid rabbit!

“So, you’re…trying to control animals?” She asked, hands on her nonexistent hips.

“Sure am!”; he followed with laughter.

“Huh…okay, then…”.

She quickly changed the subject.

“So, anyhow, it’s the weekend…wanna go driving?” She asked, scratching the back of her head.

“You’ll have to. They won’t let me.” Sting complained.

So, they did what they liked to do: went out driving, playing pranks and yelling songs.

And she forgot that little rabbit, the chameleon reploid’s test rabbit.

finally watched the Minions movie and i don't think anything could have prepared me for how down-bad these two are for each other. like Scarlet and Herb are constantly touching and swooning and draping themselves together, i'm living for it 🙈💖💖 we love evil power couples!!!

~TBP-001: Psychic Chimp~

FINALLY! After struggling to figure out her colors, the captain of The Black Pearls and rival of Marty is already done! She'll be the main antagonist in a Marty focused fanfic i'm planning to do in the future (which is something that will get it's own post! 😉). Anyway, here are some fun facts about our wicked captain:

* Psychic Chimp- Queen of The Seven Seas.

- Psychic Chimp is a vile, cruel and ambitious woman who seeks to become the most feared Maverick in all Japan and take control of Abel City after the fall of Sigma and the Repliforce after The Great Repliforce War, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to archieve those goals.

- She's one of the Maverick Hunters' most wanted criminals, being put on a death row after severely injuring and killing numerous Reploids and humans alike ever since she was first seen.

- Psychic Chimp takes any reploid with no direction in life into her crew as long as they swear loyalty and absolute obedience to her. If they ever dare to double-cross her, the consequenses of their actions will be severe... And painful.

- Chimp's special weapon is Psy Force. It gives her the ability to send psychic waves similar to EMP bursts that can mess up any kind of machinery, and it can even make them malfunction and break apart if she concentrates enough. It works frighteningly well on Reploids. However, using it too much can cause overheating and take out a lot of energy, so Psychic Chimp's very careful about how much she uses it.

- Not that it worries her much, since she can and will use more often her sword and even her own fists to shred her enemies. To her, it is more "fun" that way.

- It is rumored that she was not made anywhere in Japan, but instead somewhere in America before she somehow made her way to Abel City. These rumors are yet to be proven.

- Psychic Chimp always seems to be covering the top of her head with both her hat and her bandana and anyone who tries take either of them off will end up having no arms to ever try to do such stunt ever again. Why is she so protective about it anyway?

- She and Marty have been rivals ever since the mermaid Reploid became a pirate, with she and her crew going out of their way to stop many of The Black Pearls' illegal activities. This led to both female Reploids to have a burning hatred for each other, with Psychic Chimp wishing to out-best and end with the life of Marty, while the latter tries all she can do to one day put an end to the chimpanzee Reploid's reign of terror. One day, both captains and their crews will eventually clash and finally decide which one is the undisputable winner.

- Some of Psychic Chimps character inspirations were Captain Gutt (Ice Age 4), Risky Boots (Shantae), Pirate Man (Mega Man and Bass), Wolf O'Donnel and Leon Powalski (Star Fox) and Megatron (Beast Wars).

Aaaand that's it! I had a lot of fun designing this girl and now the rest of her guys are next, so stay tuned! (Also, if you recognize the eye symbol on Chimp's hat, just know that now you have an ice cream.)
