hello! mikael here. little dumb ask but this one moment of lambert cold threatening heket just got stuck on my mind and made me remember that In other comics and instances like the "trust test" comic is noticed that lambert doesn't seem to build such a bond with the bishops like they do with narinder. so if you let me ask: does lambert actually build a better relationship with certain bishops in a better ways than others? i remember in the first chapter they having quite respect for shamura and it being reciprocal if my memory doesn't lie to me. bonus ask: about threatening lamb, with years of experience how good they actually became in using fear in their favor? (cuz i think it's funny how ruthless they could be yet choose not) anyway, sorry to bother you and have a nice day!
The Lamb's attitude towards the Bishops can fluctuate greatly, but its doubtful they'll ever be completely trustful of the ones who wiped out the sheep population and cut off their head rather than say, Narinder, Ratau, Clauneck, Chemach, Haro, ect
Lamb does hold a sort of 'respect' for them in the sense that they understand fear, and they understand fear for self preservation, but it doesn't make them any less angry for what they've done. Shamura holds some respect for the Lamb because they quite literally Do Not Give Up.
Maybe one day, many many years (centuries, maybe) after the Bishops have paid their dues and repented to enough satisfaction, they may find forgiveness. But the Lamb does not have plans for that right now.
Lambert makes conscious effort not to become The God's That Killed Them and to remain who they are. That doesn't mean they don't change, but they don't mirror the Bishops. They do not allow themselves to function on fear or allow fear to rule them, and can be very ruthless when the need arises. It is, however, not their first preference.

Yesterday I reread Spacedust & Nightlight
By @bamsara for the fifth time and I wanted to do a collage of the vibes that the fic has

This last two picture are my favorite. ( Zim you deserve love I promise)
It is crazy how everytime that I read it I catch more hidden stuff like the amount of trust that Zim has in Dib when he shows him how to pilot the voot.
Or how Dib see some suspicious blueprints of a certain friendship bracelet ( THE PLAKET GUYSS IS THE PLAKET)
Anyway I may do this for the rest of the fics of the series even if I am 4-5 years late

Thinking about how in Amnesic AU, in the Narinder version, he's so happy to be free from his chains only to be shocked by the sight of his siblings in the flock, absolutely destroying the revenge and sense of safety he feels that even basic explanation doesn't seem to calm, and for a short while, might believe the Lamb turned their back on him to take the side of his siblings in a twisted spin of fate
And in the Amnesiac Lamb version, Lambert, too is happy Narinder is free from his chains and they're still alive, but so very confused and in complete, utter disbelief when the previous flock members they had attended to in what seems like yesterday apparently have been dead for nearly a hundred years, paired with the confusion of the bishops being within the cult, leading them briefly to believe that The One Who Waits lied to them and it was all set up as a elaborate tortuous trap
Just oodles of grief and fear and trauma
