Pretty productive dudes night in. Got some art up in the kitchen including the original Funerary painting by Beckman, a poster of my fave movie Bedazzled and the PT/Seraphim Europe 2011 tour poster (art by John Patrick RIP) - little man approves. Now it's time to play guitar and channel the intense 2.5 hour political phone convo with @thejoehardcore into musical ideas.

Next up in A389 anniversary history the legendary 2011 bash. Best set I've seen INTEGRITY ever play (started with HITD in entirety) HAYMAKER finally made their US debut DROPDEAD slayed ROTINHELL only ever US show first time meeting the SEVENSISTERSOFSLEEP dudes and getting destroyed by their set PALE CREATION legendary nail clipper banter and last known out of state appearance plus sick opening slots by THE LOVE BELOW and PHARAOH teaming up for a small tour at that time so TLB could make it out from California. Help our own / It's what we we do. Anyone make it to this one? One of the funnest for sure

The first real A389 January anniversary bash. My favorite band (other than KISS) INTEGRITY weren't playing out a ton so I invited Dwid to do a set with PULLING TEETH as the backing band. We called the band THE BLACKEST CURSE. My birthday weekend / I got to pick the set list. One of the funnest nights of my life. busted Mike Riley's hand by accident :(. This was also my first attempt at a HAYMAKER show in the US. It fell thru much to my dismay but was reconciled in 2011. LIViNG HELL from CT played : had an awesome 7" way early on in A389 history. SET TO EXPLODE were my favorite semi local band and opening the show was an original lineup DEEP SLEEP set before half the band switched out with members of THE SPARK. Amazing night feels like ages ago. Were you there?

The year was 2010 and A389 turned seven. My dream of booking an INTEGRITY / RINGWORM show was finally fulfilled. GEHENNA whom were supposed to play in 08 but didn't make it (because well...they're Gehenna) blood oathed to show up and delivered hands down the most vicious and terrifying set in A389 history. Also on the bill was PULLING TEETH (playing PDPI top to bottom with the song from the Irons split added) super crushing set by GRAY GHOST with Rob Orrrr on second guitar and a mind blowing opening set by Mississippi's SERAPHIM before their LP came out. Truly the A389 band that should have been huge. Any of you make it to this one? What's your favorite story besides Cheese punching out that dude?

Again it's weird to not be spending January with all of you but remember the A389 bash in 2012? First time most of us saw YAITW / last Pulling Teeth show / Eyehategod and Integrity coheadlining! This was wild ran so smooth for so many bands because sonar was the perfect venue. Every set was memorable and it was so cool that bands like Junior Bruce and Low Places played. Starkweather had to cancel last minute and were replaced by Magrudergrind. Best fest custom made for my own selfish taste haha
