Domino, my childhood Chow Chow. She was the sweetest little cloud princess and I miss her still. Her death was my brother’s first taste of sadness so for like a year after she died every time he cried or felt sad about literally any random thing he would say ‘I miss Domino.’ Like, if he was told our dad had to work late or if he dropped his ice cream on the ground his face would collapse into tears and he’d sob ‘I miss Domino.’ He thought the entire emotion of sadness was actually just missing his dog.

Its okay to love dogs and get excited when you see them on the street. It is not okay to harass human or dog. Be respectful of human and dog: ask before approaching, petting, or interacting with dog (and human). You don’t know the dog, you don’t know the human. Dog could be in training or have a behavior problem the human is working on. Human could have anxiety. Especially don’t try to force your dog to meet the human’s dog without the human’s consent, and RESPECT THE HUMAN. Petting or interacting with a dog that doesn’t belong to you is NOT your right!
