(you aren’t)

Simon Snow from the Simon Snow Series is Forklift Certified!

Baz tries to resist his feelings for Simon even after Simon spends all night with him and you can just tell he’s so hesitant to hand his whole heart over but he does completely.

Which is why it breaks my heart in Wayward Son where Simon has stopped showing affection to Baz. Once he loses his magic, he starts building walls around himself so that he doesn’t have to feel any more loss while preparing to lose Baz, because he can’t imagine being loved like he loved Baz.

And Baz is slowly withdrawing too- he stops dropping kisses and touching Simon thinking he hates him now. His nightmare literally came true, he gave his heart over and there a few perfect days for him but not long before things start fracturing.

So when Simon begs to try again in AWTWB, you can feel Baz’s fear and hesitancy but it’s so easily eroding, once Simon is actually communicating. See when Baz chokes on a sandwich when Simon suggests Baz giving him sandwiches after their fight is akin to make up sex.

But then they go back to the beginning, they start things off by sleeping together, just like that first night they got together, and it’s the most precious thing ever. Even when Simon does have a meltdown after, he stays with Baz, all while not knowing how to deal with how much he wants Baz.

Everything has changed- Simon has wings and no magic, Watford is long ago, and they’ve just come back from America. But at the same time, nothing has changed- they still love each other and Baz is still a vampire and Simon does not care about that at all.

But this time, both Baz and Simon hand over their hearts knowing more about each other than before.

I love your fic! And I cant wait for the last chapter. I loved your take on Adams feelings during TRC id love it if you did sort of “missing scenes” before the start of their relationship. Are you planning on doing a blue/gansey/henry fic as well or just focung on pynch?
