Another interesting publicity stunt by AAP

AAP has mastered the art of getting the publicity with the cheap stunts. A recent incident has highlighted the nonsense of the party. The party has written to the wives of four Bollywood celebrities to refrain their husbands from the advertisements of Tobacco. As per the information, letters have been sent to the wives of Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgun, Arbaaz Khan and Govinda.
The content of the letter requested Gauri Khan, wife of Shah Rukh Khan, “We appeal you to encourage Shah Rukh Khan to not participate in the ads of Tobacco products in the larger public interests.” The same requests have been made to the other Bollywood celebrities wives. How foolish is the party who are indulging it self in the cheap publicity stunts?
A close associate of the AAP supremo who was expelled from the party had told that Kejriwal can do anything to get fame. Kejriwal was termed as headline hunter by his associate.
In Delhi, Kejriwal failed to ban tobacco products properly

In 2015, after taking the charge as Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal’s government had banned the chewing tobacco products. But, the tobacco products are easily available at shops in the national capital. Kejriwal failed to ban the tobacco in his own state and now he has adopted a trick to be fool the public to write the letters to the celebrities. Whenever some media personal asks about any latest news, the party has something to deliver always.
A political expert told that the government should take strict action in national capital to ban the products properly. However, the government failed to achieve its aim and now shifted the blame on celebrities. He further added that the celebrities take those ads which are genuine in nature. In Delhi, vendors can be seen selling the tobacco products on streets. It’s all hypocrisy of the government to misguide the public.
Letters were written to the actors earlier
The AAP government had written letters to these four actors earlier. But when the government did not get any news from the actors, the party played the trick to woo the wives of these celebrities. According to the official of Delhi government, letters would be sent to the other celebrities in few days. An angry employee of the government told that whatever the AAP government thinks they do it immediately. The employees were asked to draft the letters so many times because the AAP leaders wanted that the letters should convince the celebrities.
AAP had approached Sunny Leone also
Earlier, a similar letter was written to actress Sunny Leone, over her role in advertisements endorsing tobacco products and pan masala. But the government did not get any information and they have started letters to the other celebrities. The objective of the government is clear that the government want to get the political mileage by performing such stupid practises.

Aap Punjab | Kejriwal Befooling the People of Punjab Now
Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi now befooling the people of Punjab during his five days tour. The national convenor of Aam Aadmi Partyhas been starting targeting the new state and this time with the same cheap trick of false promises.

The person who has failed to fulfil his promises in Delhi is now promising the people of Punjab that if the broom brigade wins the 2017 assembly polls, he needs two months to end the corruption.
How foolishly Kejriwal is trying to woo the public in Punjab as he thinks that all are fools in this country. During his visit, the muffler man is roaming in the streets and meeting the people personally. The tour of Kejriwal has begun on Thursday from Sangrur and nearby villages.

According to the information, the visit is deliberately planned to show the people that AAP national convener and the party leaders in Punjab are different from other political parties.
On the first day of his visit to Sangrur, Kejriwal and his company were busy in meeting the unemployed youth and they were assuring them that if the party comes to power, they would be given the lucrative jobs in the state. Moreover, the national convenor baits them by offering the jobs in the party also.
A person told that the AAP leaders were asking the youth to join the party on salary basis. On anonymity basis, a resident of Sangrur said that the AAPleaders were asking the youth to join the party. A youth was offered Rs 15000monthly salary by the leaders.
The party has been playing the cheap and dirty politics in Punjab so that by hook or by crook the 2017 assembly elections could be won. The political experts commented on the statement of Kejriwal as they said that he failed to fulfil his 50 per cent of promises in Delhi and how come he would fulfil his promise in two months if AAP wins the 2017 polls.

AAP Punjab | Kejriwal’s bad boy, Somnath Bharti

Arvind Kejriwal, who had claimed to be the “massiah” of the residents of Delhi is actually a protector of a bad man who has no respect for woman. The bad man of Kejriwal is Somnath Bharti, the cabinet minister who was arrested last year in case of domestic violence.

The national convenor of AAP did not leave any stone unturned to protect him but the police took the action against Bharti on a complaint filed by his wife. Kejriwal’s minister had arrested under various sections of the IPC including 307 (attempt to murder), 420 (cheating and dishonesty), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 417 (punishment for cheating), 313 (causing miscarriage without woman’s consent), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt), 498a (husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation.
Bharti, who had evaded arrest for nearly a week, had surrendered in the last week of December 2015 after the Supreme Court ordered him to give himself up in the domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed by his wife.

Lipika, his wife had filed a complaint of domestic violence with the Delhi Commission for Women on June 10 alleging that her husband had been abusing her since their marriage in 2010.
Bharti used the derogatory remark for women
Bharti, who was allegedly involved in a midnight raid targeting a group of African nationals in Malviya Nagar in 2014 during AAP’s 49-day stint in government, had said: “I am fully confident that if Delhi government is given full freedom (over security), beautiful women will be able to go out even after midnight without any fear. We will provide a fully-secure Delhi…”
The remark of Bharti aroused a lot of criticism and the rival parties criticised the AAP government for shielding Bharti.

CPI(M)’s Brinda Karat said his comments — made at the Delhi assembly — reflected his “mentality” and quality of discussion at the House. She also described Bharti as a serial offender.
At that time, Kejriwal did not react against Bharti and protected him. It clearly shows the stand of Kejriwal favouring the wrong persons.

AAP Punjab | Kejriwal and company without water in Delhi

The water crisis in the national capital has raised fingers at the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal’s capability as he has failed to provide the water to the residents and making excuses to save his government. The K & C started sending messages on twitters to show their helplessness.
Kejriwal and company has started showing their signs of failure when the water crisis started. The government had failed to maintain the water reservoirs in the city and now they are getting exposed in front of the public.
Moreover, the AAP supremo and his deputy lost their mental balance and started putting blame on Haryana for the crisis. Arvind Kejriwal again tried to misguide the public as he told that the protests in Haryana led to the water crisis in Delhi.
In a tweet on water crisis, Kejriwal wrote, “We have completely run out of water. I appeal to the centre with folded hands to immediately intervene and get Munak canal started in Haryana.” An official in Delhi on anonymity basis told that the concerned department had hinted the CM office regarding the water shortage a month ago.
As per the information, Munak canal was never closed but the government in Delhi failed maintain the water reservoirs in the city.
The deputy of Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia tweeted, “so, dry day starts from today? No water supply at my home this morning. No hope to get water from Munak canal. Tough days ahead for Delhi.”

The messages on Twitter exposed Kejriwal and his company crying of water crisis. The residents of Delhi are up in arms against the government as they feel that the chief minister should have come out with some concrete solution instead of writing tweets.
Manoj Shrivastav, a resident of Shahdara said, “I am repenting for voting AAP as they party had promised us to give free water. We are using the private water tankers as there is no water supply in our locality.”

Subramaniam, a resident of Safdarjang said that when the Chief Minister of Delhi and his deputy are without water then how come the residents will get it.

AAP Punjab | Kejriwal forgets unemployed youth, busy in self-publicity
The youth of Delhi who unconditionally supported “Aam Aadmi Party” in the city have lost hopes for getting the job opportunity in near future. If we take a look at the diploma holders, the information from the government department revealed that there are one lakh job less diploma holders.

Unemployment is a problem in the national capital and the increasing number of jobless diploma holders is alarming but the ruling AAP has nothing to do with it. The number of unemployed holding diplomas of various courses has doubled from 47,000 to one lakh.
This data part of Delhi Government’s economic survey raised a serious question about the quality and future of diploma courses and vocational training programmes floated from time to time. But the previous governments in the city had done nothing to provide the jobs to diploma holders.
Not only is the rise worrisome but also the educational status of those reeling under the effect of unemployment is a cause of concern and it’s a major embarrassment for the Kejriwal government that won support from youth on the promise of “degree, income and wi-fi”.
The AAP government has talked about vocational training and skill development as part of its long-term education plan. But nothing has been done so far by the government of Muffler man in the city.
The Economic Survey makes it clear that many diploma holders are not getting jobs easily. The authorities of Delhi under the AAP regime not bother to focus on the vocational courses and diplomas offered in the city.

According to the information, the most of the unemployed diploma holders have studied up to graduation or less.
Kejriwal forgets unemployed youth, busy in self-publicity

The Kejriwal government had promised the unemployed youth to provide the employment. However, the ruling government has forgotten the promise as the party supremo is busy in self-publicity. The “AAP” supremo has allocated a budget of Rs 526 crore for information and publicity. Every month, the money from state exchequer is being given for the publicity. An official of Delhi government has revealed that approximately Rs 25 crores have been spent on the advertisements. When the government completed one year, crores of rupees were spent on the paid advertisements in all the major newspapers in the country. But the government has not spent even a single penny to eradicate the problem of unemployment.

AAP Punjab | Kejriwal wants Delhi to become Tahrir Square
Kejriwal during his Jan Lokpal movement, was often seen meeting Muslim leaders like Maulana Hasrat Ali and Maulana Raza Saheb and pressed upon the need to create a Tahrir Square-type situation in India.
Maulana: a curtain raiser Various interviews were conducted in those crucial days, where Maulana Hasrat Ali had raised the curtain from Arvind Kejriwal’s idea of creating a Tahrir Square like scene on Rajpath filled up with numerous skull-cap wearing Muslims assembling there.

AK’s vision – Rajpath as Tahrir Square
Acting like an anti-Indian and anti-democratic leader, he had appealed to the nation’s youth to join him in his protest. “You have to fight for your own future and nobody else would fight for you. Parliament Street police station will be the beginning of downfall of corrupt empire and it will be the next Tahrir Square”, said an anti-national Kejriwal, who later became chief minister of Delhi by befooling the common man and playing ‘communal card’.
On the accusation of playing ‘the communal card’, Kejriwal said he has been visiting temples, mosques and meeting lots of people during his Jan Lokpal movement. Then why did he speak about security of Muslims as a ‘major issue’ in the country? “AAP should empower Muslims. Muslims are worst victims of the ‘bad’ governance and they are being targeted in the name of fighting terror”, said Kejriwal during his speech.

Kejriwal simply forgot that security is concern for poor and not Muslim. Same is in the case of Empowerment, which is the need of poor of India, whether he is from any community.
The person who talked to Maulanas to join hands with him, in order to save the country from corrupt leaders, have been seen safeguarding his corrupt leaders ever since he came to power.
Kejriwal is generally seen following what has been written on the pamphlet found on Tahrir Square. Mocking the entire political system as corrupt, making fun of the Republic Day tableaus as an unnecessary diversionary “entertainment”, his symbolic aping of the poor by tying a muffler around his neck and face to look like a rickshaw puller and standing by his corrupt law minister by enacting an ugly sit-in protest, were all pre-planned to grab huge media attention and nothing else!

AAP Punjab | Kejriwal-led AAP govt. made retired Major General cry
The man who commanded a battalion in operation ‘Kargil’ and was awarded the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal’, the man who never cried on a war front has cried on national television as he feel pained by the ‘cheap politics’ of Kejriwal-led AAP government as it opposed the hoisting of India’s National Flag on Indian soil in central universities.

“I did not cry even at the time when my elder brother Raman Bakshi became a Martyr in 1965 India-Pakistan war, as being a soldier and a true nationalist ‘we’ soldiers are prepared to give our lives up for the nation”, cried Major General (Rtd) Gagandeep Bakshi. “But today’s incident has made me cry where Delhi Chief Minister is demoralizing our brave soldiers, who die for TriColour”, adds General Bakshi.
Men like general Bakshi, who shed blood for the country and never asked for anything in return should be thanked enough for their sacrifices. Politicians like Arvind Kejriwal, who had earlier supported the anti-national elements and now objected to hoisting the National flag and questioned its timings, should be punished strictly.
“When agitating students of JNU called Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru martyrs and even demanded the breaking up of India, why did not Arvind Kejriwal raise his voice?”
The dirty politics and debate over the issue of “Tricolour” being hoisted in the central universities, made the Army Veteran to shed tears.
With hash tag #TricolourForUnity, social media tweeter also felt reasonable:
“Hamare jawano ki kadar kariye jo shaheed ho gaye hain”, Major Gen (Retd) Bakshi “I am deeply pained by the dirty polity of Delhi CM. In armed forces we die for the flag”, Major Gen (Retd) “Tragedy of my nation, I see tears in eyes of a brave soldier like you”, Smriti Irani to ” Major Gen (Retd)

To his tweets, many other tweeted: “Shame on Arvind Kejriwal, as being the Chief Minister of Delhi, he is playing dirty politics. His brain-dead remarks on the JNU issue, made my blood boil.” “I cannot grasp the fact that how can an Indian disagree with this decision. Our country’s national flag is our pride” “Most sacred symbol of one nation is its National Flag. Hoist the tricolour anywhere, everywhere, at any time with the greatest reverence and respect”.
Politicians like Kejriwal eat food grown by Indian farmers and sleeps fearlessly because of the brave soldiers of the nation, should think twice before saying anything against the nation, national flag or those brave soldiers.

The Downfall of Education under AAP Govt
Right school from the very beginning for a child can set the stage for the rest of a child’s academic and professional future. School is the place where the child’s brain gets exposed to a wide range of subjects, cultures and recreation, both in and out of class.
Not a single new school by Kejriwal..Poor facilities in existing Schools
People of Delhi, who looked up with hope and expectations towards Kejriwal-led AAP government, are now feeling deceived by the same AAP, as it has not changed the fate of Delhi at all in the past one year.

As many of the existing primary schools in the National capital lack the basic amenities like appropriate classroom, clean drinking water and toilets; Kejriwal has even failed to transform the primary education system in Delhi. Without chairs and tables, students are seen sitting on carpets or floor, trying hard to write properly as they keep notebooks on their laps. Even classes are being taken in sports area or corridors in some of the Delhi schools, where there are more than 7,500 students studying in two shifts.
AAP’s Manifesto – a failure
Kejriwal in his elaborate manifesto had shown ‘big dream’ to the people of Delhi, as he promised 500 schools and 20 colleges of world class standards, with excellent state-of-the-art amenities and ambience. Out of those 500 schools, 50 ‘model’ schools were also promised, which would be at par with private schools in the Capital city. But, in reality he has failed to build up even a single school even after one year of completion of his governance. Concept of ‘model’ schools is a complete failure.
Students suffer

Students suffer as most of the government schools are either short on teachers or they lack essential amenities’ like computers & labs for practical. Power supply is also erratic. Also, the situation gets worse during the rainy season as most of the schools in Delhi have seeping walls, dripping ceilings, flooded floors and open wiring. Students in most of the schools live their lives in fear, as these open wires can cause electric shock.
Despite of doubled budget, AAP government has not been able to meet its ambitious plan of making Delhi an educational hub. Any idea, where are these funds being spent?
Reasons behind the failure, are AAP government’s time consuming controversies as well as absence of Delhi’s Chief Minister and AAP’s National convener Kejriwal, who is now-a day’s busy either in spreading his wings across Punjab or enjoying his vacations with family out of Delhi.

AAP Punjab | AAP’s U-turn on “VIP Culture”
In first 50 days of AAP govt., National convener of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal’s opportunism and contradictions came to light when there were separate entries for VIP and VVIP card holders witnessed during an event organized by AAP government to launch an anti-corruption helpline in Delhi. Picture of the VIP and VVIP parking boards outside Talkatora Stadium got viral on social media. Many of the leaders asked Kejriwal that the person who used to denounced the ‘VIP culture’ and always projected himself as a ‘common man’ and his Aam Aadmi Party as a ‘party of common man’ has taken a U-turn.

Aam Aadmi Party – Party of hypocrites
Arvind Kejriwal, who had sworn by his children to never form a political party, formed his own Aam Aadmi Party. Not only this, but he had also broken the promise which he had made on record to not tie up with any other political party especially Congress. It is a well known fact that this man took support from Congress Party to become Chief Minister of Delhi.
The man who assured people of Delhi that he will have ‘No Security’ but in reality is enjoying ‘Z category’ security cover, with more than 30 armed commandoes and a huge convoy and entire government machinery at his disposal.
Kejriwal, who had promised NOT to use a government car ever, is now travelling in an SUV bearing number 0001 of Delhi govt. He had protested use of private planes by politicians but in reality after becoming Delhi CM started using private jets for his own comfort.
Kejriwal has moved in to a grand bungalow which is spread over eight acres and includes five bedrooms, office room, two large lawns, a garden, three servant quarters and parking.
Kejriwal, who talked about making Delhi “India’s first corruption-free state", has failed to even take hard-hitting action against the corrupt leaders of AAP or offenders.

AAP Punjab | Free water – Reality

Now that Aam Aadmi Party is going to complete its one year in governing Delhi, it was not time-consuming to write about their broken promises and outright U-turns, as there is no work done at all.
Like Greek saying “to win a person’s heart, serve him the aromatic savory of his choice”, same is what Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party applied during its campaign – that promises win elections and hearts. But, it forgot the basic principle; to not keep promises loses you the next election.
Now, Delhi government has come up with a solution to cover up for its failures – one is to blame its opponents making wild accusations and second making people of Delhi fool by diverting their attention to other pity issues. Kejriwal distracted the public and his opponents from his U-turns with daily dose of new discussions in media or social media and claimed himself as ‘victim’ whenever countered by his opponents.
Providing people of Delhi, Free Wi-Fi, Electricity and most importantly water were among few of their promises. As that is easier to say then to do, AAP has failed in one year.

AAP’s water policy goes notably against the poor and the lower middle class. Metered households with a family size greater than five members pay for all the water consumed as their usage is higher on a per household basis. In contrast, Delhi is proving ‘almost’ free water to rich people as it pays subsidy to those who can afford to pay more and need lesser amount of water on daily basis.
Kejriwal who had promised to provide free water to the people of Delhi had forgotten to include unauthorized colonies and jhuggi jhoppri. That clearly indicates – no free water to almost 50% of Delhi, as the money needed to upgrade infrastructure goes into the pockets of corrupt politicians or freebies.

AAP Punjab | Punjab increasingly becoming Anti-AAP
Khalistan Slogans Raised at AAP Rally
“Anti-national agenda”, supporting Khalistani ideologue and accepting funds from Sikh separatist staying across the globe have thrown Punjabi’s into an uproar against the controversial Aam Aadmi Party. Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal was accused of being anti-national activist by the people of Punjab when he tried to evoke extremist sentiments of Punjabis by circulating unattributed pamphlets and released the provoking poster of Bhindranwale, which clearly reflected AAP’s nexus with Khalistanis.
Kejriwal’s double standards Congress’ Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu spoke out against Kejriwals’ double standards as the AAP leader who had accepted the funds from Sikh separatist and anti-social elements living outside India had been seen disowning the poster that carried his picture with Sikh militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Kejriwal had adopted an extremist agenda by supporting a Khalistani ideologue, thus creating disquiet in Punjab’s political sphere. “Rise in the AAP’s funding” raised as a big question by Bittu, who even demanded AAP government to clear its stand on the source of funds.
It appears that People of Punjab won’t let this kind of rubbish publicity be propagated without sturdy protest and want clarity on the issues.
35,000 terrorism-affected families likely to protest
“What is going on in the peaceful state of Punjab is actually hazardous. People of Punjab were seen protesting and leaders were keeping quite on the issue,” says Bittu, who is likely to lead the protest against Kejriwal along with 35,000 terrorism-affected families. “Neither from Rajpura nor from Shambhu areas Kejriwal’s cavalcade would be allowed to enter the state of Punjab as he is backing extremists for political gains of the party,” Bittu said.
All the promises were broken by Kejriwal when we talk about Delhi, as Delhi has been dumped by Kejriwal and his leaders

AAP Punjab | Another tight slap to Kejriwal
Kejriwal once again got caught in a embarrassing situation when Delhi High Courts quashed a trial court order on the charges against his Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told high court that returning original documents would hamper the CBI’s initial investigations. “Neither AAP government nor its functioning gets paralyzed, if it is not given back” as photo copies of documents were already provided to the Delhi govt. officials, a senior CBI official said.

Stop being Dramatic
Kejriwal should now stop his drama of being an anti-corrupt leader as he is now “thoroughly exposed” in the media as well as public. A person who talked about corruption-free government during his election campaign has instead given the Capital city its worst government, as he has been seen now-a-days protecting his own leaders who are caught red handed in various criminal and fraud cases.
“Kejriwal has given Capital city its’ worst government till date”
Delhi deserves better
People of Delhi deserves much better than that of Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government, who has always been seen playing the “victim” card to redirect public & media attention from the controversies and criminal cases against its leaders.
Why Delhi government supported Kumar instead CBI?
Question arise that why AAP government dragged Central Bureau of Investigation to High Court and supported Rajendra kumar , who was accused of corruption charges for allegedly favouring five private companies in the award of contracts by misusing his official position. Why was Arvind kejriwal silent on the issue, when he very well knew the involvement of his official in corruption, why he dragged the whole government in this issue. There is definitely something fishy about it.

Then why Four AAP candidates run away from big-ticket fights?
Tripathi’s withdrawal is a blow to AAP since he was responsible for bringing to light an alleged scam regarding purchase of equipment for the differently-abled by Khurshid-led Zakir Hussain Trust NEW DELHI: In a fresh setback to Aam Aadmi Party, four candidates including those pitted against high-profile opponents like central ministers Salman Khurshid and Sachin Pilot withdrew nominations on Monday citing lack of party support or alleging corruption in the party. Candidates from Farukkhabad, Etah and Agra in Uttar Pradesh and Ajmer in Rajasthan withdrew, giving credence to criticism that the party had spread itself too thin and was unable to offer significant support to its candidates or has not been able to vet them adequately. The withdrawals come after AAP expelled some UP activists following allegations of bribes being sought for tickets and an uneven response to the party's national campaign apart from some exceptions like Chandigarh. Journalist-turned-social activist Mukul Tripathi, contesting against foreign minister Salman Khurshid, withdrew his candidature saying, "I have returned the ticket and left the party as I am not getting any support from the organization... There is corruption in the internal organization.'' He claimed that his attempts to reach AAP leader Sanjay Singh proved futile and he had spent money out of his own pocket. Tripathi's withdrawal is a blow to AAP since he was responsible for bringing to light an alleged scam regarding purchase of equipment for the differently-abled by Khurshid-led Zakir Hussain Trust. Others like Dilip Yadav from Etah, Ravinder Singh from Agra and Ajay Somani from Ajmer have also dropped out. AAP sources said this had led to serious concern within the party about ticket distribution. "This has become a shortcoming of the party due to shortage of time and haste. We need systemic reform but that can be done only after the elections,'' the leader said. Sources said in some cases the party had received complaints about the candidate's image after public scrutiny and had asked the person to withdraw. When asked if the party was indeed worried about the recent dropouts, AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, "We had publicly announced that we would not be able to provide financial support or resources to candidates. It is an election of the aam aadmi and those who feel they cannot challenge the status quo can leave. This is the new kind of politics.'' On the issue of complaints against party's candidates like Khaled Parvez who was given a ticket from Moradabad and were later asked to leave, another AAP leader Prashant Bhushan said, "We will cancel tickets of candidates if we receive complaints even at the last minute. We would much rather let the seat go vacant.'' AAP also had to expel Awadh convener Aruna Singh following complaints of corruption in ticket distribution. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/news/Four-AAP-candidates-run-away-from-big-ticket-fights/articleshow/33043612.cms?

AAP govt bought onions at Rs 18/kg and sold to Delhiites at Rs 30/kg: RTI replies

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (Nafed) questions the AAP government where has profit margin on 25 lakh kg onion gone, hints at bungling.
It's really a tear-jerking tale. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's claim that it purchases onions at Rs 40 a kg and sells these to you at Rs 30 a kg has turned out to be a farce. The AAP government, which came to power on the promise of eradicating corruption has procured onions at a much cheaper price of Rs 18 a kg and sold these to Delhiites at Rs 30 a kg, according to RTI replies. The move, the RTI replies state, is in stark contrast to the Cabinet decision that the government will sell onions at a no-profit-no-loss basis in the Capital. The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (Nafed) has alleged that there is a huge difference between the procurement cost and the price at which the AAP government sold onions to Delhiites.

"There is a huge profit margin in the onion sale. The Delhi government did not supply adequate quantity of onions to the market. Had it had done that the prices could have come down. The AAP government must reveal where the profit margin has gone," said Ashok Thakur, director, Nafed. He pointed out that the Delhi government had earlier refused to purchase onions even though Nafed wrote to it repeatedly. This, he said, led to hoarding of onions and prices went excessively high. The Delhi government, however, ruled out any financial bungling on its part. "If there is any irregularity, it is on part of the central government agencies like Small Farmer Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) and Nafed. The actual procurement cost is Rs 32.86 per kg. Owing to transportation and labour expenses, it shot up to Rs 40 per kg. The AAP government then decided to subsidise the onion price by another Rs 10 per kg and decided to sell them at Rs 30 per kg," Delhi's Food and Supplies Minister Asim Ahmed Khan told Mail Today. He alleged that Nafed was politicising the issue even when it supsupplied onions at high prices to Mother Dairy and Safal. RTI replies provided by the Delhi government's Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs, however, present a different picture. The RTI documents accessed by Mail Today revealed that the government had purchased 2,511 metric tonnes (25,11,000 kgs) of onions through SFAC at an average price of Rs 18.57 per kg, which also includes cess and other local expenses. The purchases were made from various markets of Nashik in Maharashtra and Indore in Madhya Pradesh. However, when the onion crisis aggravated in the Capital, the government on August 5 decided to sell onions at a no-profit-no-loss basis through its vans.

Fake Anti Corruption Data Exposed of AAP
'Delhi's anti-corruption helpline got only 282 calls'
New Delhi: The Delhi government's anti-corruption helpline '1031' has received 282 calls up to May 13, an RTI query has revealed. The Right to Information (RTI), filed by Advocate Vivek Garg, also revealed that seven cases have been registered on receipt of complaints through the anti-corruption helpline. "(Arvind) Kejriwal's government is trying to mislead the people by giving wrong figures. If his government had claimed that the anti-corruption helpline had received over 1 lakh calls within a month, why did the anti corruption branch in its RTI reply state that it has received only 282 calls till now," Garg told IANS. On being asked about the contradictory figures, a senior official from the Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) said, "The figures were only about the calls that we received.... not every call was relating to corruption." According to the Delhi government, its anti corruption helpline had received over 1.25 lakh calls since its relaunch on April 5 this year and 25 erring officials have been arrested. The advocate had also sought to know from the Delhi government's ACB which company was operating the helpline and what it was costing the government to operate such a helpline. The ACB replied to these questions by stating that the information sought did not relate to it. "Hence the same may be sought from the directorate of vigilance of the Delhi government." However Alarming it might be Bussiness Standard reports have a different story, who is lying? who is misleading? who is hiding the truth?
