I’m curious to see how they are going to do Lucy and Holly’s dynamic in the show. Show Lucy seems to be a lot nicer and more emotionally mature than her book counterpart. It would seem like character regression if she’s treating Holly badly.

I can see them not getting along for like an episode or 2 and then one of them is like “Why don’t you like me” and they either admit to what happened in their past and how they both lost their best friend or they both to admit to being jealous of each other and they’re like “Why would you be jealous of me you’re amazing”

We as a society have changed in the way we view female friendships from when The Hollow Boy came out. Lucy has no female friends in the first 3 books and she only really has one by the end of the series (Kat disappears and Flo isn’t that much of a friend to Lucy) and I feel like at that time it was considered normal. Every girl was going through an “I’m not like other girls” stage especially if you were in middle school. And now we are trying to really encourage women supporting each other and having strong female friendships.

Lucy and Holly do have moments in the later books that show their friendship but I wanna see more of it. I don’t really wanna see a whole season or 1/2 a season of two women being mean to each other. I wanna see them bond, I wanna see them have sleepovers and listen to Taylor Swift together. I wanna see them talk about how stupid Lockwood and George can be. I’m hoping that they actually show more of their friendship and make it stronger in the show

At first I laughed at how badly Lockwood dressed Lucy's wound in the show, but I'm realising that his lack of nursing skills are Canon and now its hilarious to me.

cracking up over the scene where Lockwood comes up to Lucy's room to apologize for his behavior and tend her wound being all like "i'm actually a fully qualified doctor", and then he sits down RIGHT next to Lucy on her bed and all of his confidence runs completely out and he stammers "i don't know what to..." before Lucy holds her bleeding arm out to him and he remembers why he's in that room to begin with.

Someone needs to make a compilation of all the times Lockwood has slid his had down Lucy’s arm to find and hold her hand because he does it more times than I can count and it’s so freaking cutee

Let's all give a big round of applause to Joe Cornish for making the absolutely brilliant decision to make Lockwood be the one who is pathetically in love.

Book!Lockwood is great but the show just would not be the same and would not have absolutely captivated me the same way without Heart-Eyes McDaniels over here.
