Aarin raised her brow, lips curling into a knowing smile. "Jealousy? She echoed with amusement in her voice, "Knox, please. I'm not jealous but concerned for Michelle's long term recovery." She laughed softly, shaking her head, "I was honestly shocked she survived it," she teased him, "and should I be worried that she might be telling everyone about it? What if you get all these phone calls for dates from random women? Will I have to be worried about you? About your ego getting to big?" Aarin's teasing was evident as her lips curled into a brighter grin. @knoxwallace
"Michelle," he repeated back with a broad smirk, leaning back in his chair dramatically. "Michelle, Michelle, Michelle. That is one wild night right there." He could have fun with just about anyone when out on a date. Even if he wasn't the most thoughtful or romantic of men, he was a very good time and knew how to have fun. "Trust me, there was no way she was leaving that date upset. Most interesting one she's been on, though, fuck yeah. I'll take that." It had been a rather unique night, starting out on his motorcycle and ending a city away. Knox didn't think he'd be reaching back out to the woman, but if she came calling he'd answer the phone. "Little bit of jealousy I'm sensing in your voice there?"

"That makes you a good dad," she said, looking at her older step-brother. If anyone had asked her if she ever saw Owen becoming a dad one day, she actually would have said no. She hadn't thought of him as adaptable for what children needed. However, Aarin would consider herself wrong as he grew into the role of father for both girls in his life. "Plus, that's why little girls have aunts. Aunts make the best glitter patrol." She told him with a warm smile. "So, what else is new? And don't give me the broody, nothing of an answer, Owen, that's so boring." @owenxbentley
Owen smiled, "I am glad for that." he was as good with his own kid as he was with messes. He didn't like anything dirty or out of place, sticky, or things with glitter and sparkles like that. "I know it will be around with the girls... I just rather not be around it," way outside of his style. "I know, but it is more for her, and that's what I want for her to be happy and to have her big day," he smiled. @aarinxvaughn.

starter for @veronica--bentley
location: cobblestone cafe
Though she had become part owner at the beginning of the year, allowing her to be more hands off, Aarin often found herself at the cafe still. Sitting still was not exactly in her wheel house and Stevie was still very busy raising a family of five children. Aarin was just wiping down a table when she spotted someone walk in the door. Her step-sister, Veronica, had been staying with Owen since her arrival in town but they had not had chance to spend much time together. "Oh, Veronica," her face lit up, happy to see the other woman, "What do you want? On the house," she gestured to the table she just cleaned off, "V-I-P seating just for you."

starter for @knoxwallace
location: wingman's pub
Aarin had befriended Knox not long after his arrival in Kismet Harbor. Oddly enough, he had become a close friend to her. Their relationship harbored primarily on teasing antics and banter that could concern most people if they listened in on their conversations. However, it was a friendship that Aarin had grown to cherish deeply. "So, I hear you went on a date with my friend Michelle," she looked at Knox before taking a sip of the cocktail she ordered, "The way she described it," her hands lifted while she tried to recall the word her friend used, "I think she called the date the most interesting one she's been on in a long time. She didn't sound upset by that either." Her brow arched, intrigue lacing her words.

Aarin's eyes lit up as he spoke, a bright grin following. "You're telling me that I get to spend the day on the ocean looking for dolphins with the man I just married? Talk about best day ever," she paused, "you know, next to our wedding day." A day that Aarin could swoon over at any given moment. The mere thought of it still brought butterflies to her stomach. "I knew you had something up your sleeve, but this is perfect," she gave his hand an extra squeeze and leaned in, resting her head briefly against his shoulder while they walked. "This is just the most perfect trip, I hope you know that. Even if we stayed home or went somewhere where I had to be bundled up in a snow suit, it would be perfect because I'm with you." Aarin imagined being married to him, even back in high school she had the dreams of a young girl that didn't know any better. "I love you, Marcel." @marcelvaughn
Marcel laughed softly at her teasing, the warmth in his chest growing with every word. “Obnoxiously in love? I think we’ve already nailed that part,” he said, stepping out into the resort with her hand still in his. He glanced down at his bag with a smirk, “Maybe I did overpack a little, but trust me—it’s all for the best.” He paused for just a beat, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Because today, Mrs. Vaughn, we’re heading out to chase some dolphins. Thought it’d be the perfect way to celebrate this honeymoon of ours.” He squeezed her hand gently, his smile widening. “I promise this day is going to be unforgettable.” @aarinxvaughn

"That's pretty much gourmet attention around here," Aarin joked as if it were the truth. She'd been flirted with by men, knowing she were fully invested in Marcel even before they were married and they hadn't exactly stopped even when she wore a wedding ring. "You wound me," she lifted a hand, placing it over her heart with her jaw slack and lips parted. The feigned shock was completely replaced by a soft laugh. "A post card, huh?" She tipped her head, "Okay, I'll take it, but only if you leave a return address just in case I want to send one back." She smiled at him, knowing that there was an unspoken friendship between them. @knoxwallace
"A flight delay?" he repeated with a loud guffaw. It was, he supposed, a rude thing to say, but coming from Aarin it was hard to take it as such. There was such an innate kindness to the woman that even an insult came across as a compliment in some capacity. "But, hey, look at you. Six whole dollars, you're really out there pulling some serious ass. Really impressive. It wouldn't surprise him at all if that were the truth. Some guys, himself included, would hit on just about anyone whether they were married or not. "Shame, though. I too would have to pass on the zoo, but if you ever ditch all the animals, I'm so there." The teasing was always the easier part of the conversation and the more serious note from Aarin brought Knox down slightly, head nodding gently towards her. It wasn't a promise he could make with any genuine intention behind it, since he didn't know what was next for him. He could be here one day and have to leave the next, his life just happened like that at times. "I'll at least promise to send a post card if ever I have to disappear in the middle of the night."

The second Teagan began to get teary, her own hand lifted carefully from the reins of her horse to place a hand against her own chest. "Don't you dare cry, because then I'm going to cry and these horses are going to abandon us for being crazy." She joked with Teagan, shaking her head as she did so. "Of course we notice." Aarin's voice was warm, "You see people." Something that Aarin had always noticed about Teagan. "Oh, someone is coming back into your life?" Her smile turned into a grin that grew not only from her curiosity but genuine happiness. "You don't get to start smiling like that, though, and think I'm going to let it slide." She teased, glancing over her as they rode. "I need all the details." Aarin suggested, "A smile like that and he must be special." @teaganweatherford

Teagan was thrilled for the other. She knew herself that this wedding had been a long time coming; and while she was sure the entire town of Kismet could breath an external 'finally' in unison together, Teagan wasn't like that. She was an advocate that all things were meant to happen when they were going to happen, Aarin and Marcel were proof of that. "I'm just happy you guys get to spend the rest of your lives together the way that you were meant to." she nodded. "Truly, I'm ecstatic for you." The truth; she loved endulging in other people's happiness probably more so than she did her own. It was Aarin's words that made Teagan swallow, doing her best to fight back tears. "Oh my goodness, I'm going to cry." Teagan clutched her chest as if to beg the other to stop; her words were so sweet. "That's what I do best, show up for others." She nodded. "And I don't regret it." she exhaled. "Not at all. I'm just happy other's notice." she smiled, looking back at the other for a moment. "Actually, kind of." she smiled. "Or someone is coming back into my life, and I'm not quite sure what to think of it." She couldn't deny that the smile was growing on her face as she began to tell the other the story of her and Bradley. @aarinxvaughn

She glanced back at the mocking clown before looking at the other. "Give it here," she held out her hand, palm upwards for the receiving of the putt-putt ball. Once it were in her hand, she smiled, "I'll save your pride, just this once." She quipped with a playful tone coating her words. As she lined the ball up once more, she swung the miniature club and the ball followed where hers had already gone. "Now it can't mock you anymore." Aarin said to the man, "Care to see if you have better luck with the bridge over the water?" @caelxmontgomery

"I happen to wear glitter like armor, so lucky for you." Aarin quipped in a playful manner. "It's like sparkle from a distance for your painfully organized life." While she knew her step-brother might not be directly involved, she would be amiss to not at least dance around the idea that it would still end up in his life. Because glitter was everywhere once it entered the world. "You both deserve that magical moment, not just Lucy. Don't forget that, Owen." @owenxbentley
He chuckled, "Not at all... " he was always the neat and clean type; everything had its place. He had his clothes, his suits in color order, and even by fabric. "So I am glad you are able to take the gitter for me..." he didn't know if it was something he could get past being on him. He smiled, "I didn't think we had to do things... our own way before for reasons, and not she needs it that real wedding." he did just want it for Lucy mostly. "Not yet, just thoughts right now," he smiled at Aarin. @aarinxvaughn.

"Ah, you know what, that's exactly it." Aarin laughed, followed by the shake of her head. "And that's why I can't subject my friends to dating the human equivalent of a flight delay." She jested him, nudging him under the table with her foot. Aarin let out a laugh with his words, one that held warmth. "Please, if I had a dollar for every many who has threatened to steal me away from my husband," to whom she'd only been married to for a few months now, "I'd have at least six dollars." She joked, "But none of them ever offered to take the cats and horse I have, so it never really works out." And the fact that she could never see herself leaving Marcel, but that didn't exactly play into the joke. "For what it's worth, I enjoy having you around but at least give me that curtsey call if you decided to leave us." @knoxwallace
"Ah, see, this is why you won't set me up with any of your friends. I'm too much your type, you can't possibly imagine sharing me with anyone else," he teased again, brows lifting up with more life in his expression than he'd had previously that morning. With all of the crowds that Knox had run with in his previous cities, he'd never found himself around people like Aarin. The idea that there were just kind people with no hidden agendas to hang around and talk with was something new for Knox and while he still wasn't convinced the slow life was for him, it made it an easier transition. "Yeah, we'll see. Riding it out for now. And if I ever do decide to leave, I'll make sure I let you know so you have the option to leave your husband and I'll whisk you away, huh?"

She smiled warmly at him while she continuing to hold Gabby. "I figured as much. Glitter was never your thing." Aarin used to think Owen was too stuck in his ways but it seemed kids have been softening him to a degree. "Asked Lucy again? That's romantic," she smiled brightly at her step-brother, "You deserve to have that special day. The both of you do." Aarin spoke the words genuinely, "Do you guys have a special day picked out?" @owenxbentley
He smirked as he looked at her. "I mean, I would hope not, you wouldn't have two cute nieces if it wasn't for me," he teased. "I mean, I would hope they do that with you, I could not take all the gittler myself," he made a face. "I can handle the tea parties, but the gittler, I will draw a line," he laughed lightly. He smiled at her, holding Gabby, and it was cute to see. "I am glad you did." he was glad they both had a good time, so he was glad he was able to help them have a good time. "Same old, same old, mostly," he smiled. "But I did ask Lucy to marry me again," he smirked, "So we can have a real wedding, not just the courthouse like we did..." he just wanted to give Lucy what she should have gotten before. @aarinxvaughn

Her free hand rested lightly on his arm, "Oh, don't tempt me, Mr. Vaughn." She said, voice laced with amusement and affection. "You know I'd be perfectly fine with that plan." She gave him a look, "but if we must leave this perfectly cozy bubble of ours," she added with a brush of her lips to his cheek as he reached for the door, "let's show the world how obnoxiously in love with each other that we are." She grinned at him, glancing over her shoulder, "And I saw your bag, babe, you might have over packed more than me, I'm just saying," she teased, chewing on her bottom lip as she ushered him out the door, afraid that a moment longer that she'd be begging him to cancel whatever activity he had planned. @marcelvaughn
Marcel’s eyes flicked down to their joined hands, then back up to her with a crooked smile that held a hint of something warmer beneath the teasing. “Oh, you mean the one that makes me forget how to form full sentences?” he murmured, giving her fingers a gentle squeeze before stepping a little closer to her. “You really are out here trying to test my self-control this early in the day, huh?” He leaned in, brushing his nose against hers before pulling back just enough to look at her properly. “You overpack, I overplan—we’re clearly a perfect match.” With that, he reached for the door. “Come on, Mrs. Vaugh. If we don’t get going, I might just cancel the whole thing and keep you all to myself in this room.” @aarinxvaughn
