New policies may shut the series as a whole to, inevitably, a 'niche' community. Anti-competitive policies ruin series/franchises... Call of Duty as an example. I've witnessed it's abrupt collapse. Once a titan in the past is... now a shadow of it's ol' self. Greed, is often one of the other elements... 'Beating a dead horse'... another. So...

I am very confident... that the same 'fate', and situation, will happen soon with this series. Truth is, this mode, in this 'game', is possibly the only mode I'll officially support, given the literal, 'loss of habitat', and native 'players', to protect the organizations image. There's so many parallels with deforestation, and this. It's very haunting... but very real.

It's 25 year anniversary since the very first 'Smash Bros.' game back in January 1999 is coming up... the N64 one. I remember, vividly, the first experience. We rented that game at the local Video Ezy store all the way back then, and been addicted to the series ever since that first play. Yes, I still have them little scars and scratches in the thumbs and hands when holding in hands for so long, both the 'Triforce', N64 controllers, and the original 'Dualshock' controllers for PS1 and PS2.

Even now, I'm thinking of dedicating time to compose a remake of that game's 'Final Destination' theme... the best such theme from the whole series, in my personal opinion. If so, it'll be on SYSTEM. Still very disturbed with this result (the Australia vs. Afghanistan cricket match on November 7, 2023). Still I think the Australian team never done what they did in the end, and immediately after that, and because I just finished streaming the event online at the time, all of the Optus servers all crashed simulaneously... It is now both folklore, and a highly disrespectful circumstance, personally speaking. It's insane still to think how this all happened like it did, and since this event, I've completely lost any interest watching the rest of the Cricket events for the subsequent months to come, but not the score-checking part.

And to rub additional insult-to-injury, Proteas beat them in similar fashion days later.

102523 - Very serious personal opinion on the latest Mario Bros. game.

After a great deal of thinking, I imposed a personal boycott on playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder for myself. I will watch it, but I do not care too much for it. Uh, the 'Cyberpunk 2077' effect. And I do not like that game either, regardless of the draw.

The truth is, well, I actually purchased the Suika Game on the same platform, and not via recommendations by Hololive members, other VTubers or the like, but through twitch.tv. Added, I barely watch any english-language streams/streamers, either. And as in most other sites from what I researched… yes, it did become an immense sleeper hit, and still is. Actual game is epic and simple, but with an arcade-style hardness to it, and is in my view, one of the most addictive of puzzle-genre videogames I have played under any platform, from another obscure development group. Yep, I even set a dedicated YT playlist just with that game.

Circumstantially, as a result of this, and this music project I'm building up since back in July, I simply could not bother to take the time to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder, given the game's ratings, and of my past experiences as well, on both NSMB Wii U and Odyssey.

The soundtrack to the game, though, I will give that a listen, even if I never have intentions to play the game with a differently voiced cast. Another cascading effect from 'that' SMB movie. Yes, I might like it better of course if I was younger and more oblivious with the series, and the social systems around myself. Well, moving along then…

I'm 31 now, and had been a moderate fan of the Super Mario Bros. series since both Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars, both on the SNES, and of games from the N64 era. Since the Gamecube era, I've liked some iterations (SM64, both Galaxy games, NSMB series, Super Smash Bros. Melee, SSB4, and SSB Ultimate), but disliked others (Sunshine, Odyssey post-completion, NSMB2, Smash Bros. 3 (Brawl)), most Mario Kart games, and many of it's spin-off/sports games, as well as the Mario Party series. A huge list, I assure you, and I do not want to write an essay on it. Uh, Super Mario Kart 99, 'if' it comes eventually… Maybe, to watch streams of it, but I am not purchasing an online account to play that, for reasons similar to the F-Zero 99 game. Not paying it, to simply play races of F-Zero 99 or other free content locked within a paywall.

And the worst part as a fan of the series… I am not personally supporting the further evolution of the SMB franchise from here, proper. But no matter this, I will not forget the legacy, particularly when the franchise used to be an epic, and at times, revolutionary product of the iconic red brand, with equally iconic red and green-colored mascots, and attitudes. And this first step of the next era of the franchise is in my opinion, the dawn of a new 'dark' phase, and had subsequently stopped following and supporting any future iterations of the franchise, like I already did from the release of the 2022 version of CoD:MW2, and with Formula 1 games since last year (also from 2022). And I did not like Odyssey that much, because the disturbing language from certain characters in the actual game, honestly, completely stopped me from continuing on after ending the first playthrough, and I barely touched that said game since that time.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder - personal opinion.

Yes, it is indeed an epic, and arguably, better and more creative/original videogame than the Sonic Superstars game, released days before this came out. But personally, Wonder is not as addictive, nor better, nor as iconic in the long-term as the Suika Game is, released internationally on the same date. Yes, I am still obsessed with their looks (the fruits) compared with the other games mentioned, as well as of course, it's very difficult, rewarding gameplay, simplicity and the overall aesthetic. Although personally, SMBW is one step, or 'stomp', forward, but too many steps backwards in the overall experience. Nor is it faster, as I do hate watching the loading screens, and the waiting times between the end of one stage and the start of another. And still I yet to see any stream where cutscenes or the like, can be skipped, especially on the first playthrough. And as a result, it's heart now is straight-up tarnished. Hated much of the commentary (better if it was forced off, or in a different, less disturbing language), talking flowers included, and a really absurd storyline.

Frankly and internally speaking, I am very glad that I 'did not' purchase this product, 'SMBW' (Super Mario Bros. Wonder). Far, more, annoying, than Odyssey, the Galaxy series, the 'New' series, or, most other mainline series iterations. Yeah, they did not rush on this but, the actual developers hid far too many secrets about the story in-game, that I really dislike a great deal, no offense. A sandbox approach would have been a far superior alternative than the one that was ultimately given to the public. I am serious on that, and I am not talking about Super Mario Maker or it's sequel. And the Devs kept the 'lives' system, which they should have never had implemented in this game, even I would claim it is 'obsolete' these days.

Just one particular homage though in relation to the Touhou series that I picked up, and I am serious here, don't flip, 10-year gap, and all that. Seija Kijin's pose, the one from her first appearance in Touhou 14… they nearly completely replicated that exact pose. This is shown in this game after the player(s) gets/picks up the 'drill' powerup, or the stamps showing this from in-game. Indeed, Shinmyoumaru's battles from DDC too were also replicated to an extent... in a Bowser Jr. battle (player shrinks, enemy grows, and also the other way around).

Fuck all this Halloween and Christmas stuff this year… Personally, this October has been the most destructive October month in recent history. The same thing I most likely would say about the final 2 months of this year, too, if this script follows through. Personally, nothing… YES, NOTHING, haunts me more than nuclear annihilation or nuclear war… or at least the start of it… Hamas and their friends, executed surprise strikes in the Gaza region early in the month, and also declaring the nation itself as the enemy. The chaos in the previous warzones were relatively petty when compared to this, no bullshit. And then in October 18th, in Nevada, were the nuclear weapons tests. The USA have never done such a weapons test like this over there since back in the Gulf War era, 30+ years ago, back in September 23, 1992, and that is a fact. And after the Ruski folks made a public announcement of revoking their ratification of the CTBT (yes, that treaty), and then warned of retaliatory incidents if the USA first conducted tests after they did, a devastating chain of events would unfold, with very few signs of any letting up or regrets by anyone involved, and another battle of supremacy would then commence, especially when the missiles, tanks, and warships get more involved as the battles eventually intensify, make no mistake on that. There is no point to fuck around and cover the truth this time, like that other prolonged situation, that I still am waiting for the end of it, and the SARS-coV-2 situation, that has damaged more than has fixed, the human condition, and obviously too, the societal norms of humanity. Know too that we may be a loud, as well as honest, minority, and if others still wish to call our types, the irresponsible, the racist, and immature, raging, uncontrollable types, then fuck them. They are the blind ones, not us. At least I often separate plain garbage, paper and cardboard, and aluminum/cans in different bags, and dispose each in it's appropriate areas of disposal. Many of the folks that I know do not do this. Bye. That is it.

Yes, and I know it has been a long while since I posted stuff on either here, or Telegram pages, or even YT since releasing the last of the Aaron of Live 12 tracks (and has used a new handle for music since then).

Do not get the wrong idea okay. These sites still do mean a lot, and the handle still matters, but just because I am not active on many SN sites does not mean I do not care about it or whatnot... I am very busy in pursuing both a DJ career and, expanding on this recently created Doujin project I’m creating from scratch. Also, this said project will contain among the heaviest and most intense music that I have ever created and produced and plan further productions to where I will create both clean and explicit tracks when this project launches properly, sometime in 2024, no fixed date as of yet.

No need to lie, but the main sport I’m still following this season is in AFL league matches, among other levels, of Australian Rules Football I mean. In truth, for the last 5 or so rounds of the season, it has been a very intense struggle in the midfield. And just like many others who follow with deep interest, this season has had an even higher stakes game of Snakes and Ladders, compared to last season. Also contrary to previous seasons, where I followed 2 or 3 particular teams per season, I’ve took a backseat with barracking this time, and if I’m going to be honest, at a personal level, I frankly don’t care to place deep support to any team anymore, as much of the experience of the sport recently in my mind, harbors a ‘wild rollacoaster’ ride, at greater frequencies than in recent seasons, and thus, exhibits more pleasure, pain, and unpredictability on the competitive side. More in relation to Sports events before I end the post. Poor standards have been shown so far in the Women’s FIFA WC, but I think that’s expected since all the sides who have competed in day 1, are all rather poor teams, including the host nations in my personal opinion. No interest in this season’s F1. Sennastappen, come Bahrain in 2024. Virtually no-one, be it drivers, or constructors, can stop the RBR powerhouse, even if occasionally the other driver is not in the same league as Sennastappen is. ------ In the following other Sports I found more positivity in it than in past years. Yes, Cricket for one, has improved in some essential aspects, but crowds I think are more derogatory and less honest than in previous years, which not only do I not approve of that, but also runs parallel to potential anarchy and straight-up war against the opposition, never mind about how high the quality of the actual Cricket that was playing then. Indeed, this also includes in the USA, where many elite cricketers are at competing in Cricket’s MLC, and in parts of England, for both the Men’s and Women’s Ashes matches. I hated the way the Mens Ashes in particular ended... the rainy weather interfering the great series that may have been, and personally I’m livid with it. Also privileged too to witness on TV, the IPL finale, delayed a day, but was still worth waiting for, as well as the way the match finished off, high-class, straight-up theater. And perhaps the best match of all, when Rinku scored five 6′s in the final over to inexplicably steal the match from what never should have been their victory. And I never, ever saw anything of that extreme in cricket, ever, including teams making, or agonizingly not making, that last run in the last ball of the chasing team’s inning. Enough there on that subject. The NHL, in Ice Hockey. Wrestling, both in the WWE and AEW, but not so, the MMA or Boxing ones. I must add, it has been over 6 years since last actively following any live developments of any Professional Wrestling events on TV, but at least the workaround I’ve found recently was just not to listen to it at all. The dog-gone profanity on virtually all the walls, as it has been in practically the entire history of such combat-based events, . But nevertheless I do still like watching the competitors, regardless of gender, battle, even if occasionally it ends under unfair circumstances. Yes, I am also going to add in the events of the PDC darts tournaments in, but only just, because I’ve seen the events in it this year as fractionally better than in last year overall. At the first main tournament, in the Grand Final match of it, both players in one of the legs, 9-dart attempts, where the first player missed by a thread, and somehow the other hits his/it’s ‘9th’ dart home, to what virtually all the folks have stated it as the best leg that they ever seen/watched, and if not, one of the greatest moments in Professional Darts history, period. But since that match, it’s been peaks and valleys, and I must say, it has been lower, more so than higher. In both main forms of Rugby League and Union, minor stuff which was changed up, and still feels very similar to the previous few years, for which I interpret as a small, yet important positive.

Of course, this may be slightly older news, and already voraciously posted by many other users online, finally getting their personal ‘wish’ of a new official split-screen, ‘phantasmagoria’ style iteration by Team Shanghai Alice, 18 years since the last one. But yes, it is best that I still be honest here, and share my personal opinion too.

Never told anyone but I did have a hunch way back in October/November that after their release of 100th Black Market, that in theory, or at least I thought at that time, the next iteration would most likely return to the aforementioned ‘phantasmagoria of...’ style, as I did not think a new, straight danmaku iteration would fit in the supposed new narrative, and of the unavoidable circumstances of certain real-world events and of some storyline paths from the last core iterations, were primary assumptions of why the split-screen style would fit better in that sense.

Naturally also, certain neglected or other less important characters from past iterations would also be playable after either only being playable in other main or side games, or were such ‘cult figures’ in fangames and in the community, where such fans waited nervously, or ‘warmly’, to find out if indeed the character or characters they desperately want to play as are in the next game, besides the obvious ones. Or others, where they simply were relegated as an enemy and were never playable in any capacity in any future iterations of the Touhou proect, or simply did not exist at the time since the release of the 9th iteration (phantasmagoria of flower view) way back in ‘05. Outside of the inevitable trial release, is another guessing game of which characters will make the final release, a 3-4 month wait until the next Comiket, and if not then, then it’ll be when it is completed. Yes, some curveballs have been thrown from the first announcement... So from here, research other new updates as they come, just like all the other folks are. ------ To be frank, the stuff revealed in Reitaisai 20 was nice, but not as deep in other areas as I thought it should perhaps have went to. Yes, and of course, the Touhou 19 demo/trial.

Frankly, with Puss 2, this was an epic little film up until 08:40. A hint, the intro epitomized the character perfectly, but after that... that is determinable only to the viewer, hate to say. Spoilers beyond this line.

Dragon Ball Super - Super Hero [the engdub - the one that matters to them and you folks - now available]

[021823 update] Again watching, very humorous but not always an easy watch, being a sequel to ‘Shrek 4′, ending ironically enough, towards the iconic locale. Also, this was a better take on the ‘last life’ story than I first expected, and of the two felines divided and reunited as well. The epic moments, were, of course, the epic the viewer(s) would expect from a Shrekverse film, and not as vulgar-tongued or as pretentious as I first thought/feared. Lastly, watched the film not just in it’s orginal english/latin, but in latin spanish, and french.

Screw what others say of it’s future, but I fear that they may ‘kill’ the franchise with the 5th Shrek film, given the treatment this film had, and the possible circumstances of critical characters, reminiscent of Kurama’s fate in the Boruto show/manga (I still say, unexpectedly, in my opinion), or new leadership at the top. This film never should have been this ‘dark’, and the ‘wolf of death’ should never have been introduced for any reason whatsoever.

My final take of this film... occasionally it is crazy funny, but it’s also among one of the most disturbing films I have seen of recent years, given the ‘grim’ content after the end of the film’s first chapter.

Karaoke/instrumental album, back in ‘07. Told folks who have seen my Reddit, Pixiv, and Twitch accounts that, I became a Touhou addict from August ‘22, but I have known of the existence of Touhou Project since around ~2005. ---- Yes, and a few other karoke/instrumental albums by the IOSYS circle were released of a range of both epic and formulaic/boring tracks. The post here was the first said release outside of Jazz arrangements from this series which I’ve been exposed to. Also, I am very conscious of several established circles within, but still do not know all of them well enough for an opinion.
