Ya’ll asked for it, so here they finally are: THE KOOPALINGS! For context, they’re all adults here (with the exception of Jr, Lemmy, and Larry, who are all teens). It took me quite a while to finish these but I’m very pleased by how they all came out, so I hope you like the art! In the meantime, I received several questions about the Koopalings, so here’s some quick headcanons:

-With the clear exception of Bowser Jr., none of the Koopalings are blood-related to Bowser. In fact, they’re all adopted! Not long after Jr’s birth, Bowser found the group of rag-tag teens making trouble in the kingdom and, instead of punishing them, decided to take them under his wing. Ever since he’s essentially become their father, and they see him as such.

-Ludwig is the eldest of the Koopalings and the de-facto leader. When he isn’t helping Bowser or his siblings plot out their next grand scheme for the Super Mario event, he’s busy composing music. He’s an Orchestrator as his career of choice owo

-Like her older brother, Wendy pursued music as a career as well, and she instead has made a name for herself as a very popular rock vocalist. She, like Ludwig, got a lot of her musical inspiration from her aunt Bowsette, who became pretty big in the punk-rock scene but has since scaled her act down more to local shows than world tours.

-Morton Jr. is the largest and strongest of his siblings, but don’t let his large build and booming voice fool you. Unlike the rest of his siblings, Morton’s actually rather shy and dislikes being in the limelight. It’s a large part of why he never pursued anything that would really put him out there so to speak… instead, he puts the bread on the table… by making it! He works at a bakery, specifically Luigi’s bakery as the co-baker, and he loves his job! Outside of that, Morton’s the best at handling children, so he often helps in keeping them entertained when Bowser’s castle is open for public touring.

-Roy is the second eldest of the Koopalings and the chadliest chad who ever chad. He absolutely has no qualms letting you know how much he loves himself and his ever so precious muscles, but Roy is aggressive in all fronts, and that includes being supportive. His career of choice is that of a personal trainer, and he’s well-received because he is very invested in the individual progress of each of his charges. Roy’s favorite color is pink and he and Wendy bond over makeup and painting each other’s claws.

-Iggy is the most energetic of the bunch, rivaled only by his younger Lemmy. He never can seem to sit still and is easily distracted, earning him more than a few looks and the assumption that he’s “crazy”. He’s not of course, it’s just harder to focus on some things than others. He especially has a hard time reading; the letters always seem to fly off the page to him. One of the things he finds it easiest to focus on is working on machinery, and in fact loves to tinker. He and Jr often undergo collaborations on projects in inventions.

-Lemmy is the youngest of the group of siblings and the most outwardly friendly, always happy to make a friend where he can. He’s a lot like his older brother in that he can’t really seem to sit still, so he finds his outlet in sports mostly. He especially loves acrobatics and crazy tricks on his ball, and aspires to perform in a circus one day.

-Larry is about the same age as Jr., though that might be a little hard to tell given how tall Jr is in comparison. In fact, with the exception of Lemmy, Larry is the smallest of his siblings, a fact that irks him to no end. Larry loves working with hair and has aspirations to be a stylist when he gets older. He’s especially possessive and protective of his own mane, and refuses to let anyone touch it.

-Bowser Jr. is the only biological son of Bowser, but that doesn’t make him any less a brother to the Koopalings and vice versa. As a teenager, Jr has begun taking on more responsibilities as a prince, but regardless of that he still has his mischievous streak and often gets into trouble for his pranks. He loves tinkering almost as much as Iggy but his true passion lies in art; he’s quite the painter!

-The Koopalings and Bowser Jr all see Peach as their mother, despite she and Bowser never being romantically involved and their relationship being entirely platonic. Even still, Peach helped raise the kids regardless and she loves them like their her own. While not all of them call her this, Jr and Lemmy and Morton almost exclusively call her “mama”. Not that she minds! :)
