My Favourite artist
Good afternoon guys. I hope you are having a good weekend! Last week I discussed why artists have concerts and how they can effect their reputation. Where as today I will be discussing My current favourite artists and the artists I will be going to see in concert over the next few years. So lets get it started
Can we just take a minute to apricate The Luka State. Ughhh they are my go to favourite band. If someone is looking for a good indie band this is definitely who I would recommend.  My favourite song is  30 minute break. It’s upbeat bouncy. My favourite actor (Thomas brodie Sangster) is also in the music video, so it’s definitely a win win for me. Trust me I have all my notifications on for when they decide to go on tour, I am just despite to go see them. Another favourite band of mine has got to be Sex Pistols. I’d say they are more rock band. I would have loved to see them in concert. However they do have a series coming out soon which I can not wait to watch.
However it’s not just bands I listen to, I also listen to solo artist for example Gerry Cinnamon, who I was meant to see in concert and I was also meant to be seeing Yungblud, Covid-19 ended up rescheduling both of these events. But the covid-19 concerts are a discussion for another blog. Another artist I would love to see is Bruno Mars, but for his old songs you know, like Locked out of Heaven and Treasure.
That’s all for today guys, i hope you enjoy the rest of your day :)

Concerts
Hey music lovers, Hope you have had a good week so far. Last week I discussed Spotify and why it was my go to app for music, that I was a bit of an indie girl and how Ed Sheeran is 2nd on my top artist list, still a tiny bit embarrassed about that...Anyways today I will be discussing concerts, why artists have them and why different artists stand out to me due to their reputation at concerts.
Artists have concerts to be able to interact with their fans. It is an experience for the fans and the artists to enjoy the night singing and dancing to their favourite songs with thousands of other people around them. Concerts can also make the artists more or less popular. For example, TRNSMT, Hundreds of popular artists play there every year, however the way they treat their fans at the concerts can effect their reputation.
The person most popular for this in my opinion is Harry Styles. Well known name, ex member of 1 Direction. His reputation is extremely high due to the way he treats fans at concerts, someone looking ill at a concert? he gave them a bottle of water and got his security guards to make sure she was okay. Now no I am not the biggest fan of Harry, however I do respect him a lot for the way he treats his fans and looks after them.
However, the person I am least likely to respect is Justin Bieber. A few years ago the artist refused to sing one of his own songs at  Summerburst Festival in Stockholm. Fans had requested he sang the song, as it was his own and was very popular as it had just came out. But Justin refuses and I quote “doesn’t even know it” In his defence, the song is in Spanish. But it is his song. How does he not know his own song? Bit silly right? A part from this small incident he is still one of the most popular artists world wide.
Thank you for joining me in todays blog and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Catch you next time :)

Why I use Spotify
Hey guys, welcome to my second blog :) today I will be discussing my go to/ favourite artists, I will also be sharing some of my on repeat songs. Now I will warn you now, I am an “indie girl”... Artic Monkeys and all that jazz... However, Do I wanna know is not the only song I know by them before you get that impression! I’m not that type of indie girl LOL
Spotify is my go to music app, sorry apple music lovers but we are no longer friends. However if you are into sound cloud and more of a remix type person, then we are defo going to best friends during these next few weeks. I’d say Spotify is my go to because, there isn’t much that they don’t have. From the throw back 80′s to songs that got realised a minute ago. The only bad thing is, there isn’t many remixes, if there are, they usually get taken down due to copy right purposes, tiny bit annoying.
The other cool thing with Spotify is you can decide what type of account you have, normal, premium, student. I use the student account as it is £5 for premium if you show your student ID when signing up, look at Spotify looking out for us broke college students.
The last thing I will be covering today is my top 5 Spotify artists in the past 4 weeks, at the end of these blogs I will compare them and see how much they have changed. So first up at number 1 is... Adele! which honestly is not a surprise, after hearing her newest song “easy on me” She has definitely been on replay. 2nd place is Ed Sheeran 0-0. Can’t say I expected that, going to be honest, sorry Ed lovers. The last 3 are Jeremy Zucker, COIN and Shawn Mendes. Honestly apart from Ed Sheeran I am not too disappointed with that.
Hope to see you next week guys, Enjoy the rest of your day :)

My first blog
Hey there, my name is Abbie. I am 17-year-old who has just a tiny obsession with music. The only time I don’t have an earphone in is when I’m asleep or in the shower and trust me… my mum hates it! The first time I listened to music was via CD’s. I remember my pink CD player that sat in the corner of my room and I made it everyone else’s issue for buying me it. But god I loved it, the first CD my mum bought me was “Olly Murs- in case you didn’t know” I could sing that album word for word without even having to think about it.
However, as I have grown up, my music taste has expanded, if you took a look at my Spotify it would say, I’m more of an indie gal, catfish and the bottlemen, Beach weather and of course Surf Curse. Ugh. I love them all. But I am always open to new music, over the past few months I have been listening to ACDC and Green day, tiktok and SoundCloud are the go to for remixes, not my fave but you can’t go wrong with 2 songs that blend well together.
So come with me for the next few weeks where I will be discussing new music and artists, my top 10 on repeat songs and much more.
