sensitive stuff below. nothing graphic, but just be aware it might not be suited for everyone.

no one knew about it before chase's miscarriage, only after it happened were higher-ups at the hq let in on the situation. sabre knew, and heatwave knew, (they were dating at the time), but they didn't know pierce's name or what the guy looked like.

sabre only knew about the miscarriage because chase came to him at the hq his living quarters were located in as it was happening. he delivered the spark with heatwave on standby in case pierce came looking for chase, like i said though, neither heatwave or sabre knew who pierce was.

chase took sabre's place on the team after sabre was promoted to leader of a different team. the switch was made at sabre's request to heatwave; since his new team was located where he couldn't be at his cousin's side 24/7, he entrusted heatwave with the task instead. blades and boulder replaced the nameless bots on heatwave's team. blades and boulder learned about the miscarriage pre-rba but not about pierce until the events of the fic.
