 Each profession has its own specificity and ethics that vary from one profession to another, depending on the tasks and functions it performs. But the profession of journalism and media has a great peculiarity that distinguishes it from other professions. Where it targets people's emotions, simulates their minds and feeds them with information aimed at changing their attitudes, attitudes and ideas. Where it is through language, word, images, various press and media arts video.

Why it matters!

Ethics of the press involves many aspects, such as the law, instructions, professional standards, good character, and guidelines for discipline. Some newspapers and websites on the Internet have developed ethical codes of conduct for their employees. These codes include policies regarding accepting gifts or off-duty assignments.There were cases in which correspondents were expelled because they had established relations with the source or used information for self-interest.

A successful journalist or journalist does not need the laws and control of the government to regulate his profession, but he is also a victim Motivation, self-censorship and the ethics of the media profession as controls for media work. Ethics of media work is a set of principles and values organized at work .And based on a selective set of principles for ethical conduct. These principles are important for media organizations, especially in times of crisis. These principles are aimed at forming an independent media or professional group.

The main objective of collecting and distributing news and opinions is public service by providing people with information and enabling them to make judgments about contemporary issues.

 At all, education is seen as one of the keys to overall development. Where the success of any country is successfully wished through the efficiency of education among members of that country. Higher education always stands in an important place for every country; it is the basis of development. There is no successful state unless they have a very high level of education. Education is the basis for social, economic and even political development.

The development of human abilities and educational skills is more important than the national economy, because higher education is the reason for the growth of the economy in any country in the world. The type of higher education provided by the state to its members determines the strength of this country in strengthening its status among the major countries.The development of education in Oman has led to a decline in rates compared to what it was before. The current conditions of poverty and the poor at the global level require more effort.

The most important goals of development and higher education are to reduce the number of poor in the Arab world, which has become increasingly increasing in all countries of the world. As the development of education is an important process in order to promote human civilization. Every individual in the community must give his maximum strength for education. The importance of education as an essential tool are for solving problems and addressing the challenges facing society, including poverty, population problems, environmental degradation, social and economic development, consumption and production.

The impact of new media on the girl's behavior

 Social media platforms are one of the most important sources of culture and openness to the world. Girls can identify any information form it. Through the phone screen, girls can move to any area in the world. Also its a part of girl's life and these programs can never be dispensed with.

Through my interview with several girls from Sultan Qaboos University, girl says social networking sites help them to communicate with people of different nationalities. Girl also learns about different cultures helping her to learn about life and the world around her. These sites help girls to get rid of shyness, and learn ways to deal with people.

While a student from college of Economics says:”  these sites are a fantasy world for the girl. Which is can make the personality by she wishes, but the excessive use of these sites causes a decline in the level of education of the university student. I spend two to three hours on Facebook to browse and learn new things or events, also to know the news and conditions of my friends”.

Social networking sites help girls to recognize the news of fashion and beauty. One student says, she can never do without these programs. Where everything became possible through these programs can be used and learning through some educational accounts.

Social networking sites can negatively affect their users. Some users take these sites as a tool of interest. There are those who take it as a way of entertaining and wasting time. And some also consider these programs as a link between them and the world around them. As well as some users who make it a place to escape their responsibilities and duties.

Media Conference: Social Media create a new type of Journalism

Media department is working hard to keep up with daily events that occur on society in all fields. After the end of the conference, this was held from October 30 until November 2. What is happening in the Arab society of events and facts and variables that we observe in social networks may threaten the community. More than 120 researchers from the Sultanate and abroad participated in order to identify these changes and try to address them.

* Second World Asian Media Conference at Sultan Qaboos University

The media department represented a press department who made great efforts during the conference days through the work of daily publications at the end of each day of the conference. The conference has enhanced the sub-phenomena related to these networks such as citizen journalism and blog journalism and analyzes the reality of their use in the Arab world.

The researchers also found that these networks were a new type of journalism, by grouping those interested in groups for acquaintance and exchange of news and reports. In addition to publishing what they want to publish, as some groups active on the networks as integrated newspapers provide news, opinion, image and caricatures.

Where researchers played a major role in discussing the dimensions of communication networks and their impact through individual and society. The media department sought to keep pace with the events of the conference with each one, so they set a number of students to make the conference work and make it an unprecedented event.

The media department through journalism was especially praised by the Minister of Information for the great efforts to make the conference a success. Students wrote daily journal editing and turned it into daily news and publications.

Social Media is changing our Language by Arabization of English

There can be no denying that social media have a major impact on the ways we communicate. Its advanced nature also leaves our language in a constant state of change and regeneration. The means of social communication affect our language by changing the meaning of some of our vocabulary. As technology and social media continue to progress, there will surely be more transformations in the language change. There are many users who translate English words into Arabic in the wrong way. This is because language is able to give shortcuts to facilitate dialogue.

The impact of social media sites and platforms on our language is a real phenomenon. These programs have been able to change our vocabulary, increase the number of our connections every day and the speed at which we have, and leave us feeling a new responsibility to stay in touch with the whole world. With the need for quick and concise language and online communication, verb phrases have become the full common abbreviations that are now used in everyday moments and not just online.

 Some social networking programs such as Twitter, which is the most popular, reduce the number of characters you can use in a publication to 140 letters. This forces users to make shortcuts in the language so that they can share it in one tweet.

When the word abbreviations were entered in these sites is no longer a modern technology. Modern programs are able to reduce the number of words and characters used to conduct a conversation accurately. This means that we are able to communicate more efficiently and more quickly. And perhaps these talks occur at an alarming rate, but everyone would prefer to shorten the words.

New Twitter Terms of Service provoke user discontent

Twitter is one of the world's leading programs. Every Twitter user must read the Terms of Service. While there is no place for everyone who tries to tamper with social media through the creation of fake accounts. Some of the users of this program are exploiting the possibilities of Twitter and its policy. Today impossible became possible through the new terms of service and that try to deter each violator, In addition to the disclosure of bad habits on the program. Where the policy works around tuning the Twitter process and ensuring that no harm is done to others.

The item that sparked controversy among users regarding the possibility of providing organizations, companies and individuals with all the content published by the Twitter user. The user is not compensated for its original content. "This license includes the right of Twitter to provide, promote and improve the services. And to make content published through the Services available to other companies, organizations and individuals for purposes of citation, transmission, distribution, promotion or dissemination of such content to the media or other services. Taking into account our terms of use for such content. " 

The new item adds that Twitter or its affiliates, or other organizations and individuals, may use the material published by you without paying any kind of charge to you for this content.The new terms will go into effect on all users of the giant social platform, except users in the United States.

The new amendments included the removal of certain provisions of the previous agreement, especially those relating to the limits of liability, which say, "You understand and agree that the services are available to you as they are and according to availability."

Analysis of Daily Mirror newspaper

 View of Daily Mirror:

I chose the Daily Mirror because it was a newspaper in the UK. It is one of the biggest newspapers there. The Daily Mirror, a British daily newspaper that changed its name during the 1990s to The Mirror, was then returned to the Daily Mirror in 2002. The publication of the newspaper began in 1903 by Alfred Harmsworth as a women's newspaper but did not meet enough success, he quickly changed the content of the newspaper and added images, which led to increasing popularity.

  What should I do?

   In this assignment I will select a foreign newspaper. Also I will analyze the newspaper through its use of social media. Why did we choose this newspaper? Does this newspaper use new media to deliver its news?

   I will analyze it by (SWOT= strength, weakness, outcome, what can be learned).

  All analyses will be shared in my social media accounts using hash tags and an attractive hook.

  Analyzing it through this following programs: Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

  I will choose each program and analyze the newspaper through it by using "SWOT"

·         Use very appropriate addresses

·         The newspaper's news depends on large amounts of illustrations

 Weaknesses:

·         Account management should reduce the number of tweets per minute.

·         The newspaper does not interact much with tweets and does not publish news from other accounts.

·         The account accepts many additions and this may affect the position of the newspaper

·         Some breaking news is written incorrectly on Twitter

Mirror is one of the oldest British newspapers that has undergone many transformations. From my point of view, I believe that the newspaper has activated all the programs correctly. There are some mistakes, but in general the newspaper is of high standing.
