Deep end part3
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ubbe x Reader Hvitserk x Reader Sigurd x Reader Ivar x Reader
Word Count: 1361
A/N: Look like this will have some more chapters. I don't know what will happen here but I like write this so I will try update soon. Also, Helga, Sigurd and Aslaug is alive here because I'm not following the show.
part1 part2
Tumblr media
You felt the pain pass through your body as soon as you felt waking up. It was all a confusing blur and you begin to wonder what was real. Had you really stabbed yourself or just dreamed about it?
It was a dream, wasn't it? It could only be a dream. But it wasn't and you realized as soon as you opened your eyes.
There was a fair-skinned blond woman with blue eyes covered with black paint.
"Be quiet, child." She said in peculiar accent and calm voice. You didn't know if you wanted to cry over the pain in your body or the fact that you're still stuck in this nightmare.
"My name is Helga and I'll take care of you." She said quietly as she passed a thick folder on your belly.
"We were all worried about you," she said in an almost motherly tone. You doubted that was true, but you decided not to debate the woman. She was the first really kind person you had met wherever this place was.
"With a good rest you'll be fine," Helga said before stroking your hair affectionately. "I'll let them know you woke up."
"No!" You screamed and quickly regretted it when a sharp pain arose in your belly.
"I need to tell them, child." The woman almost seemed to pity. But she also seemed to trust those strange men. You did not want to see them. From the first moment you saw them everything seemed to go wrong. When you realized the woman was leaving, you held her hand to stop her.
"Ivar." You whispered with difficulty. You didn't know why you chose to say that name, but it was the only one you remembered to hear. And as much as he didn't do anything to help you, he didn't do anything to hurt you either.
The woman nodded before leaving.

"I don't understand what it's taking so long." Ubbe grunted impatiently as he paced.
“She stabbed her damn belly. Why would she do that? ”Hvitserk asked with a mixture of anger and indignation before taking a sip of his drink.
"Maybe she's one of those Christians who would rather die and be with her God than live among the filthy pagans." Ivar said in a sarcastic tone as he remembered how much you cursed them.
“It wasn't that. Something very strange happened, she thought she was sleeping.” Hvitserk said feeling confused again as he remembers the scene. He could not understand why anyone would stab their own belly.
“Now that you mention it, it really did look very strange. She looked at me like she had never seen me before.” Sigurd said frowning in momentary confusion.
While his brothers drowned in confusion, Ivar found it all very intriguing.
"Do you think she was faking it?" He asked looking at the confused and worried brothers.
"I don't think anyone can fake it so well," Ubbe said before finally stopping pacing.
Helga came into the tent abruptly, silencing them.
The four looked at her expectantly.
"She'll be fine, just need to rest and have some herb teas," Helga explained quickly.
"Great, let's see her." Hvitserk said already walking out of the tent, but was soon interrupted by Helga who prevented him from leaving.
“I need to ask. What are you really want with this girl? ”Helga asked in a more protective tone than she intended. She wasn't about to get into other people's business, but she couldn't help it since they'd asked her to take care of you.
"I wouldn't wonder if I didn't find it extremely strange that you four were interested in the same girl." she explained quickly. Unsurprisingly, Ubbe and Hvitserk shared everything. And Helga knew that the four of them had shared the same slave, but that was different. They were having a lot of effort to keep someone.
The four exchanged glances before Uber answered. "We just found her interesting." When Helga frowned at them with a dubious look he asked again. "What?"
"She was hurt."
"We already explained what happened, she stabbed herself." Hvitserk said annoyed that he was still talking when he wanted to be questioning you for what you did.
"I'm not talking about the stab," Helga explained irritably. "She had scratches on her legs and hands, her wrists had marks and she had a cut on her forehead."
"We had to tie her up," Sigurd stated almost shamefully. He felt guilty, even knowing that when he let you go you stabbed him and ran.
When Helga was still assessing them with her eyes, Hvitserk snorted before asking. "May I pass now?"
"Not you. She just wants Ivar.” Helga said in a firm tone to make sure they would obey her.
“Ivar? Why him?”Sigurd asked in a mixture of anger and indignation.
"I don't know, but she just said his name." Helga explained before leaving the tent and leaving the brothers alone.
×××××××××××××
You stared at the roof of the tent while you waited for no one to really come to see you. Being ignored seemed like the best option while you were trapped in this strange place.
You swore to yourself never to sleep once you woke up.
A few minutes passed before you heard a crashing sound on the dirt floor and a slight drag.
The man you remembered, Ivar, entered the tent with a crutch. You frowned as you watched as him walked over to a chair by your bed.
He looked much taller now that you could watch him standing.
"I can't say I wasn't surprised when I heard you had called me." The blue eyes watched you with interest and curiosity.
You were too tired to try to answer it. And to be honest you wouldn't know what to say.
"Why did you do that, Y / N?" Ivar asked, intrigued.
For a moment you wondered if he was asking about the stab or the fact that you called him.
"My brothers said you wanted to wake up." He said slowly as if sincerely trying to understand.
You knew you looked crazy. Increasingly this seemed like complete madness. Your dream was too real but also totally impossible. These people were very different, primitive. They could not be real, but on the other hand, you were still here with them. And they talk and act like they know you and like you're acting weird.
You looked away, staring back at the ceiling. Better to keep ignoring him, so maybe he would leave.
“Tell me, Y / N. Why did you want to wake up?” Ivar insisted now in a firmer tone. He didn't want to scare her, but his wasn't patient.
As soon as Hvitserk talked about your strange attitude he was intrigued. There was a reason they were so insistent on keeping you, and he knew that whatever was going on wasn't just a coincidence.
The rude tone didn't scare you, you were actually taken by surprise. Did he really believe you?
"Don't you think I'm crazy?" You asked in an almost whisper turning to face him.
"I still do not know. You tell me. Do you think you're crazy? ”Ivar asked quietly.
"Sometimes." You answered truthfully.
When you realized that he would not ask any more questions you decided to speak. He looked a little awkward in these weird clothes and very attentive eyes, but still it seemed a nicer encounter than what you had with his brothers.
“I don't remember the things your brothers say I did. I don't remember their names or what happened before I was running in the woods.” You explained calmly hoping he would still believe you when you were done. You didn't understand why you were being honest with him, maybe you just wanted to be understood. Maybe you just wanted to open up with someone and stop feeling crazy for a few minutes.
Ivar frowned. Had Hvitserk hit you too hard in the head and now you didn't remember things? "And that's why you think it was a dream?"
"No, I just don't think I'm who you think I am. This is not the life I remember. ”

Deep end part2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ubbe x Reader Hvitserk x Reader Sigurd x Reader
Word Count: 1376
A/N: I know I’m late with all my fics and I have a lot of requests to do, but hope you don’t want to kill me hahah. Some of you asked for a second part of it so he is it. Hope you’ll like it.
part1
Tumblr media
'' Y/N? Heeeey?'' Your friend called you for attention for the third time in the day.
''Sorry, I was distracted. What did you say?'' You were both in the college cafeteria, the place was packed with young people moving around, but you couldn't focus on anything around you.
"Jesus, what's happening to you Y/N?" Your friend asked slightly annoyed. "You have been completely distracted lately. Dreams again?''
''Yes, I think they got worse.'' You whispered still disturbed by the dream last night.
"I thought they should disappear." Your friend commented before taking a piece of her cake.
"From what the doctor said the medicine I'm taking should knock me out, I shouldn't dream, but it seems that only made the dream more real." You explained apprehensively. Julie had always been your best friend; she was the only person besides your doctor who knew of your confused dreams. She had never judged you, but you were starting to be afraid of what she might think if you told the new events in your dreams.
Maybe she could think you were crazy. Maybe you were.
"How could it be more real?" She asked with a frown in confusion. You had always told the details of your dreams, the sensations, so your friend knew how it was.
“This time was different. This time they reached me.” You whispered looking away from her.
"Them?" She asked expectantly. "Tell me."
“They were three. The dream was the same, but this time they caught me up and were trying to get me somewhere.” You started telling her everything. How they looked like, the reactions, how their clothes were different, and the strange language.
"Wow, I think after this we really need that weekend trip." Julie said as soon as you finished telling her everything.
"Yes, please." You smiled slightly, thanking her for not judging you, not doubting you. Even when you started doubt about your own sanity.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You decided to stop taking the medicine, the dreams continued but at least you could wake up before you were caught.
Even without dreaming of the mysterious men again, their faces were still etched in your memory like ghosts haunting you.
So you decided to draw them. You had drawn parts of your dreams many times before. It helps you sometimes.
"What is it? New drawings? ”Julie asked looking at the sketches on your desk. You were finishing packing for the weekend at your friend's cottage.
“Yes, I finished them today at dawn. I couldn't go back to sleep.” You said casually.
"Are these ...?" She asked as she looked at the drawings.
"I can't forget their faces," you explained.
"Ivar?" She asked reading the name under one of the drawings.
“It was the only name I heard. I don't know about the others.” You said as you moved things from the closet to the suitcase.
"Haven't we heard that name before?" Julie asked intrigued.
You shrugged. You didn't want to think about it, you'd spent the last few days just thinking about these stupid dreams. You wanted to forget it, you wanted them to disappear.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
After two hours on the road you could feel your eyes slowly closing. The music playing on the radio was like lullaby to your ears.
"Why don't you take a nap?" Your friend asked, looking away from the road for a moment.
"I'm fine," you said quickly, maybe too quickly.
"You're not afraid of sleeping, are you?" She asked with a frown. "Y/N you know it's just dreams, nothing will really happen to you."
"It's stupid I know, after that dream I was just a little impressed, I guess." You explained hoping it didn't look as stupid as it felt.
"It's just dreams, they can't hurt you in dreams." She hummed in a carefree tone. "If it gets too bad, all you have to do is wake up."
But what if I can't?
The question hovered beneath you, but you said nothing. You just nodded and settled into the passenger seat.
Just a nap wouldn't hurt.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You felt your eyelids flutter and your head throb. Your legs hurt and even with your eyes still closed you felt everything spin as if you were drunk. Not the best of feelings. Your body felt as if it had been crushed by a truck.
"She's taking too long to wake up."
"Maybe you hit too hard."
"I didn't hit hard."
You sighed, feeling a sharp twinge behind your eyes. The voices around you didn't help. It was an unwanted noise and you couldn't even understand what they were talking about.
“Y/N?” You heard a thick voice whisper your name before you felt a big hand on your face.
You opened your eyes slowly even grudgingly and met blue eyes as clear as the sky. You frowned for a moment, confused, before realizing that the owner of the beautiful blue eyes was one of the men of your dream.
You quickly sat away from him.
"Calm down, we won't hurt you." He whispered with his hands raised in redemption.
Your eyes drifted wildly around the tent like place. The man who had hit you was also there, standing looking at you. There was another man, one you didn't know. His hair was a lighter blond shade and his skin looked lighter.
"I said I didn't hit so hard." The man who had hit you said nonchalantly.
"You tried to kill me." You shouted irritably, feeling your head spin and your eyes sting.
The man let out a short laugh before approaching.
"Did you know you are very inconvenient?" He asked looking at you closely.
"So should I just be convenient with you after you chase me and try to force me go with you,?" You asked with a mixture of indignation and sarcasm. He smiled, seeming to want to say something, but was interrupted before he could.
"You shouldn't have hit her, brother." The pale blond man spoke for the first time and you looked away to watch him.
"Come on, she stabbed your hand." The man answered the other as if he didn't regret hitting you.
“Never mind, we promised we wouldn't hurt her. Forgot?
You frowned. What were these freaks talking about? You never stabbed anyone. You had never seen them before, as they may have promised not to hurt you. That was more of a dream, wasn't it? Why does it look so real?
You got up casually getting ready to leave, but soon the man with the big braid was in front of you blocking the way. Damn, you had forgotten about him.
You clenched your hands under your eyes. You wanted to wake up. Why haven't you woken up yet? This is not how it happens, you wake up soon after discovering that you are dreaming, don't you?
"Wake up!" You whispered patting your own face.
The men stared at you with curiosity and strangeness.
"Come on, wake up!" You said louder, slapping harder.
"You're not sleeping." You heard a voice say, but you didn't care and kept trying to wake up.
But saying 'wake up' and slapping were not really working.
And suddenly you stopped, remembering what made you wake up last time. You got hurt and woke up.
You smiled slightly as men stared at you curiously. You turned to the man with the big braid, he had a little knife strapped to his belt. And you quickly caught up, he looked a little shocked and walked away slightly probably thinking you were going to hit him.
But you turned the blade and sank it into your belly. The pain hit you instantly. You heard a scream and realized it was coming from you. The man who had hit you in the previous dream was now holding you with an expression of irritation and concern.
“Go get help!” He shouted to the other two who after seconds of shock ran out of the tent.
"Why the hell did you do that?" He shouted, pressing his hand against the wound.
"I want to wake up." You whispered feeling your head spinning and your eyes heavy.
"But you're not sleeping." You heard him say as you closed your eyes and let the darkness overtake you.

Creature. (Second)
With: Ivar x Mermaid!Reader.
Notes: I’m so in love with Hvitserk in that story. Annnd, Ivar is a spoiled brat.
Word Count: 1,2 K.
PRIOR CHAPTER.
Tumblr media
It took some time to the creation be done, it was more glass than wood and Ivar had to threaten at least 5 people to it be perfect.
The selkie stood in the small box through the days but Hvitserk accompanied her everyday along some guards to place her in the lake to swim a bit. It wasn't the right type of water but at least she could move.
Hvitserk was in trace, whenever he pulled her in his arms she didn't fetch nor tried to kill him, she just stared, and damn, she was so beautiful. No wonder why boats sank when sailors got allued by those creatures.
He liked to watch her swimming, he dismissed the men around him and even with protests he was still a prince and the king's brother so they have to obey.
Long y/h/c hair spread in the water while she swam, her tail was huge, definitely longer than his legs, it was unfair Ivar would have her all for himself, he was so spoiled, even now as grown man.
She ate a few fishes and the fruits Hvitserk brought, she didn't eat when she was in the box. Everything Ivar handed to her she avoided, he got angry of course, but one of the slaves mentioned that maybe the creature wasn't eating because her "place" would be dirty after. Which made sense.
So Hvitserk brought a bag with fishes and fruits for her, and for him too.
"What's your name?" He heard and blinked twice before staring at her with big curious eyes.
"You speak?"
She nodded and swam near to the lake edge where he was sat, his hand touched his sword and she stopped swimming, Hvitserk bit his lip but then she swam again until her hands touched the grass.
His touch didn't fetch from his sword, the blade shone on her eyes. "What's your name?"
"Hvitserk, what is yours?"
She shrugged. "I don't have one."
"Everyone has one."
She shook her head sadly. "Not me."
"Do you have a family?"
"If I have I don't remember, I've been alone for a long time now."
"That sounds lonely."
"It's." She looked sad, but quickly ignored the subject. "You hold your sword like I will attack you in any moment."
"You can't blame me for it, the stories says your kind is dangerous that you lull men to their death."
"And do you not?" The question made him stop and close his mouth, that was true after all.
"Its different, we kill with a purpose."
"What purpose?"
"Lands, honor, our religion."
"Its still death. Why do you think I kill men?" He didn't know the answer for that, when people hear monster's tales no one ever ask the monster's reason or motive. "I would never kill a good man or a good woman, only bad ones, i have lulled men before, yes! But to save others. Slavery boats, ships where I could hear women yelling in pain when a man would touch them. I would not sink a ship and kill if there's a good person there. I free people, and look, now I'm a slave myself. A pet." She looked down at her hands and kept moving her tail under water.
"I'm sorry."
She chuckled without giving him a glance. "You're not. You are happy to see me, happy to know that there is magical out there, you do not care if I was hurt to reach here. Nor would you care if I spent the rest of my life in a tub for your brother's entertainment. Humans tend to lock pretty things for their own pleasure, it doesn't matter if the creature will die."
"How did they grabbed you?"
"There was a storm, I was too stupid to be in the surface enough to suffer with it, but there was shark that was hurt and I had to help."
"A shark?" He laughed, not believing in her words. "You're lying."
"What? You see a mermaid with your bare eyes but you can't believe a shark would need help?"
"Well, yeah, but... What, mermaid?"
"A old friend called me that, when I was swimming far from here, in less colder waters."
"Well here you're a selkie."
She giggled, and sank in the water swimming again, whenever she got up she looked at him and kept a smile on her face. But it was not a good one, it was one of mockery.
"What are you doing?"
"Swimming, soon I'll be placed back in that cursed crystal box and be locked on the big place where your brother, or better, your king will stare at me like he's deciding if he kills me or touch me; And also have that other woman staring at me with disdain." He knew she meant Freydis, since the selkie arrived she has been cursing her. "I better as well enjoy while I have a bit of freedom. I would kill myself you know, but that Earl that brought me here made a man of his cut off my nails, of course I marked him before, he will surely remember me forever." Hvisterk knew what she meant, he saw the man that opened the box when she first arrived in Kattegat, the man that had four sharp lines across his face, scratches.
Hvitserk's face fell, no one should live locked in that way. "Ivar is crazy, but he's... in trance, he never saw any of you before." She was sad, her face deep in thought, he tried to change that. "And besides I asked you why you were laughing?"
"Because, Hvitserk, apparently I have many names, I've been called mermaid, hwriat albahr, meermin, rusalka, syreni, sereia and now selkie. But I don't have a name of my own."
"Maybe you do, you just don't remember." She scoffed. "Because even if you say you are alone, you wouldn't appear out of nowhere, right?! No one was made to be alone."
She smiled at him, he was the kindest in that area. It was around the fifth time he brought her here to swim, and each time he was careful.
She swam to his reach again and showed him one of her hands, the other was under water while her elbow was propped in the grassy ground to support her weight. When the webbed fingers received a ray of sunlight the webs began to retrieve and it looked almost human. "I can grant you a wish, I can also give you reading of your future. But you have to choose."
"How do I know you won't pull me in the water and kill me? Or if you will use me as a prisoner to win vantage over the guards? I'm the king's brother, they wouldn't allow you to kill me."
She rolled her eyes. "Becauseee, Hvitserk! I'm not stupid to do such a thing, I have no way to be out of here and even if I prefer death itself rather than being locked... I wouldn't hurt you."
Her hand were completely dry now, the webbs dissapeared.
"Why?"
"Because you are kind, you pull me to your chest before placing me in the lake not caring if it'll soak your clothes, while any other would only kick the box so I could slip to the water. You stay here with me and make sure the guards will leave because somehow you know I feel vulnerable being out of my territory and with no way to defend myself, and that I also feel disgusted with them looking at my body. So that's why I wouldn't hurt you Hvitserk."
He gave his hand to her and she stared at the lines on it. Hvitserk choose the wish one, but what could he ask? "Any wish?"
"If it's a proper one, but I can't transform you in a king nor make someone fall in love with you. I tried before and those two was the ones that never worked."
"Well then I don't know what to ask now." He winked at her, of course he could say it was flirting if Ivar somehow discovered that moment, but she knew he meant the king part. And she giggled at that. "But don't tell Ivar."
"For all the effects I don't even speak human tongue."
Hvitserk thought of wishing to free her, of something happening and that she would be able to escape. But his selfish part didn't want her to go, and the human part where he remember how lost he felt when he left Ubbe to fight on Ivar's side felt, she would be all alone again. "I want to be treated with more respect, I want Ivar to actually treat me as his right hand, not a dog, not someone he can tell to shut up whenever he likes. Not someone his wife can give orders to."
She nodded and supported both of her elbows on the ground so she could have both of her hands holding his, the webbed one under, and the human's above. She clasped his hands and he felt a buzzing going up in his arms, then his skin shone and he could see the lines that held his blood inside his arm, he thought he was going crazy.
Untill it stopped.
"It's done." She said.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
His hand got wet with the webbed hand so when the drops touched her human one made the webs appear again. She heard voices and got back to the water and swam far from him, Hvitserk gazed at his hand and checked his arms three times to make sure it wasn't shining still.
"Time is up." A man called.
The selkie -well, mermaid- looked up and swam to the edge, Hvitserk pulled her to his arms and sat her back in the crystal box, he leaned over to make sure that the wood was fixated with the glass, that way it wouldn't fell and hurt her, his head was low while he was crouching down making sure she was safe, his ear near her lips. "And you're wrong, Ivar did saw one of us before, he saw me." She whispered to him and he stopped mid sense looking at her bewildered.
What?
"She is ready?" One of the guards asked and he nodded before signaling to her lay down, she did and Hvisterk closed the glass lid, people would stare at her so they always took her in and out of there covered up. Ivar's order of course, it was his property after all, people couldn't go staring.
Standing up Hvitserk nodded at the man and walked ahead leading the way.
They grabbed the box, and walked to the Great Hall, one of them, the one on her right was staring at her breats disgustly so. She hissed at him which only made him chuckle.
Hvitserk hearing the mumbled hiss -even under water- looked over his shoulder and spotted the man's smirk while he glanced down at the glass.
"Something is wrong?"
"No it isn't, just looking at the fish woman. I think she might be lulling me."
"If she is, it means your death is near. So stop staring." He ordered and even if the man wanted to say something about him not being the King he knew the creature was Ivar's property and he would behead him if he imagined anyone wanting her.
...
Ivar was smiling all happy, the creation he ordered was done. It had wood in the edges but the rest was glass, it was tall and firm, a dozen of people got in and out with buckets filled with salt water to fill the box. It was already placed on his chambers.
For Freydis dismay.
Ivar wanted to be sure it wouldn't break so he told the man that created to get inside. Of course everyone got with wild eyes hearing the order. But the man knew that or he got in, or he would die.
So he did and swam in the small space the aquarium allowed.
Ivar was satisfied with the result, so he ordered the man to get out of the water and told for one of the slaves to give him a quantity of gold, the man smiled and thanked his king, he didn't expect money, he just didn't want to die.
Hvitserk saw the fuzz and glanced back at the selkie, he got sad knowing she wouldn't swim in the lake anymore.
"Brother! Come." Ivar's yelled. "And bring her."
Ivar's bedchambers was huge, but the glassy box was taking almost the whole left's wall.
Ivar was with a wild smile. The guards placed the selkie in the floor and Hvitserk waited for orders. But then, looking at Hvitserk, Ivar felt a relief spreading on his chest. Something he hadn't felt since he saw Floki in the last time.
"It's done." He pointed to the aquarium, his blue eyes shinning. "She'll be beautiful in there."
"You will place her in there now?"
"Yes."
Hvitserk crounched down and started to unlock the lid, when he opened the selkie sat and took a breath of air and looked up at Ivar and the new cage she would endure.
Hvitserk started to extend his arms when Ivar interrupted him. "No no, someone else will take her. You already did too much, brother."
Hvitserk's ears picked something else, he was used to his little brother's sarcasm but this didn't sound like a threat. "Let me. Besides these ones aren't trustable." He tilted his head and Ivar gazed at the men near his brother, the one that face's went pale took his attention the most.
Hmm. He would check this subject later on.
Hvitserk walked holding the creature on his arms and walked up to the seven steps stool. He moved her and she was heavy due the tail and was worried he would hurt her, but she moved her tail up and he managed to place her inside.
The water engulfed her and she felt relieved with the salty water penetrating her pores.
Ivar smiled seeing his new pet displayed for him.
Freydis was in the bed and Hvitserk could feel her anger radiating.
Ivar was staring at the selkie. "Now, leave, all of you." He ordered. "Everyone but Hvitserk." The guards and slaves left, Hvitserk stood glued in his spot, as Freydis. "My love, you too."
"Ivar, I'm not feeling good enough. I think I need to lay down."
"Then you lay in the other room, go on."
She left angry and her steps echoed around the whole hall.
Ivar sat in his bed and called Hvitserk to sit by his side.
Hvitserk was cautious about it, have Ivar seen his interaction with the selkie?
"I want to apologize. It's hard for me so don't expect another word, but I appreciate you coming to be here by my side. And even now after all the war you're still here and you are loyal to me. I appreciate it. So for now on you'll have more power around here, no one will give you orders besides me and I'll try to be... less harsh."
Hvitserk was shocked to say the basic, he expected Ivar to laugh and pull his axe in any moment to kill him. But it didn't happen.
But Hvitserk glanced at the box... the wish he made.
He smirked remembering what he asked, and it was happy it worked. "I appreciate it brother, thank you."
So the woman with fish tail really had magic in the palms of her hands.

Creature. (First)
With: Ivar x Mermaid!Reader.

Word Count: 1K.
PRIOR CHAPTER.

Ivar was lived, in his eyes… because in Freydis eyes he was stupid, and in everyone else’s he was insane.
But who would dare to say this to the king? No one that feared their lives I’m certain.
In his mind, he was fulfilled. He was the king, he defeated his brothers, he found someone, he would become a father and have heirs. But as a rich person, he loved to receive gifts.
“My king, there’s an Earl that came with a gift.”
“Who?”

ALEX AND IVAR’S FREAKY FRIDAY - CHAPTER 1, TWO MEN AND A STORM
Tumblr media
A/N: So today I’m starting a new series based on this post, found by @youbloodymadgenius and the combined ideas of the anon and @ill-skillsgard. I asked @ill-skillsgard if they minded if I took the idea and ran with it, and they graciously gave their permission. Thank you so much! As I started sketching out ideas, I kind of realised this was going to be bigger than a one shot, and I had so many ideas for it that I decided to make it a new multi-part. I’m going to try and update every Friday (but please understand I work and have a family, so that might not always be the case). I’d love to hear feedback on this story, so please let me know what you think.
Summary: Alex Høgh Andersen is distraught that his job as an actor on Vikings is coming to an end. During a freak storm one night, he petitions the Gods to make him Ivar the Boneless forever. Meanwhile, in Kattegat, Ivar the Boneless lays awake during a storm begging the gods to change how things have turned out - his betrayal of his brothers, the war for Kattegat, becoming king. When both men wake up, they realise their worlds have changed beyond their understanding.

Alex Høgh Andersen held the sheet of paper in his hand. He’d dreaded this day for months, and now it was finally here. After working hard for three seasons of Vikings, Michael Hirst had sent round the mailshot that had ruined everybody’s day: This is to confirm that episode 06x20 was our last on “Vikings”. We will not be renewing for another season. I wish you all the luck with your career in the future, it has been a privilege working with you on this show.
The news had hit everyone hard, but to Alex it was like a punch in the gut. The young actor had put his all into the role of Ivar the Boneless. It had been both his breakout and his crowning moment. He felt an emptiness inside now it was over. He’d hoped for at least another season, yet he’d expected the powers that be in the land of television to not be that merciful.

is Deep End a one shot or you'll continue it?
I'm planning to do more parts of it, but I have some requests to do first.
