I understand why people can be a bit confused by multi-muses blog, but recently it has come to my attention that not only there is confusion, but there is also a lot of hate toward multi-muses blog. I was in a group chat on skype and read many, complaining about the fact that multimuses blogs are lazy, their characterization is weak and often generally terrible blogs.
Let me get this straight for a second.
What is worst between someone who has to stress themselves with 15+ blogs in different fandoms and open many browsers at once, or someone who has 15 muses on a single blog and can easily keep track of things because of that?
Because believe me, when I was a homestuck roleplayer, I remember having up to 18 motherfucking blogs at once at some point. And I don’t say it to boast or anything, but I’m often told that my characterizations of canon characters are on point. The thing is, I grew tired of having to deal with so many blogs and made a multimuses blog for all my original characters and canon muses. I’m less stressed, I have a lot more time to give a look at my dash and I barely ever miss a reply anymore.
I just wanted to say that, as a multi-muses blog, I hate to be berated because I keep all my muses on the same page. Roleplaying one muse versus roleplaying 70 doesn’t make me any less of a good roleplayer or any less able to portray a canon muse. In the contrary, being stress-free and having time to watch my dash probably increased the cooperation of many of my muses.
TL;DR: Stop judging roleplayers for having a multi-muses blog. Most of the best roleplayers I have met and long time roleplayers I know have them. Because after 10 years of roleplay, it’s hard to still have only one muse.
