In Luigi's Mansion, it is possible for Luigi to very briefly suck up a door. In Chauncey's room, if Luigi is caught between the chest and the wall in the manner depicted (by positioning himself there before the chest spawns) and then sucks up a ball, he can clip out of bounds into a different room, during which the ball will briefly turn into a door before disappearing.

In Super Mario Odyssey, a captured Fire Bro can only throw five fireballs at a time. If the button to throw fireballs is pressed while five of them are already out, the Fire Bro will simply wave his arm as though throwing a fireball, but no fireball actually coming out. Despite that action appearing to only be a visual indicator of the Fire Bro being out of fireballs, it actually has a hitbox.
If this is performed near a weak enemy, such as the Goomba in the footage, the Goomba will die despite the Fire Bro not actually attacking with a fireball and instead only waving his arm. This has the humorous visual appearance of the Fire Bro “slapping” the Goomba to death.

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if Yoshis are made to run to the right a certain distance away from the goal pole, then they will run past the location where the goal pole would be, without it having loaded yet. Following them reveals that the Yoshis will become trapped by the goal pole loading in after them, and will remained in the panicked running animation during the course clear scene.

Top: in the October 2022 teaser trailer for the Super Mario Bros. Movie, Mario’s final line is “Mushroom Kingdom, here we come”. While the line is not based on anything said by Mario in any of the games, there is in fact one place where the line has previously appeared.
Bottom: in the eighth issue of the Super Mario Adventures comic, published in Nintendo Power in 1992, a fake “The End” panel appears before the comic continues with a different plot point. During that panel, the characters, including Mario, shout “Mushroom Kingdom, here we come!”
As content shown of the movie has already demonstrated that material other than games is being referenced, including licensed content like the Super Mario Bros. cartoons, there is a small chance that this is a deliberate reference to the comic (although the line is generic enough that it could have easily been a coincidence).

In Super Mario 64, if Mario rides a Koopa shell up the slopes surrounding Bob-omb Battlefield and hits the invisible wall in a specific spot, he will become stuck and will only be able to lean in different directions instead of moving, as depicted in the footage.

In the SNES version of Mario is Missing, a map of whatever city Luigi is in can be displayed by pressing Select. However, the map is actually present at all times during gameplay, even when the screen is showing Luigi walking around the city, by being drawn on the SNES’s third background layer.
The first background layer depicts the sidewalk Luigi walks on as well as the buildings next to it, while the second layer depicts the rest of the city further back. By toggling the second layer off, it reveals the map on the third background layer, which even has all the animated map sprites loaded on it during gameplay when they would never be seen, instead of displaying them only when the map is brought up.
As such, there are actually always two Luigis present in every gameplay scene: the controllable Luigi in the foreground and another Luigi hidden in the background on the map screen (see the top left corner of the map in the footage). While this is clearly implemented simply to save time when loading the map (by having it always remain loaded), it is a highly unusual way to do so.
