Guess who finally got around to watching minecraft dairies? ME!

I've actually been enjoying it a lot so far. Halfway through season 2 and can confidently say, Travis, Dante, Chad and Aphmau. Also I'm a huge fan of Aarmau, their relationship between (+lillith) is so good.

I have a huge sketch page of my favorite moments and character designs. I wish I started mcd sooner I absolutely love the story and character arcs

NO FR! I'd been playing Skyrim and other TES games when I first started watching MCD as it came out and I saw so many things that I knew. Especially the wyvern language being the dragon language from TES. It's also why Nana speaking in 3rd person wasn't weird to me. She's a meif'wa and a good amount of Khajiit in TES speak in 3rd person. 11 year old me just saw two different types of cat people with the same speech pattern.

Love how much of mcd is taken from other series. I hadn't played Skyrim the first time I watched it, but on this watch I keep seeing it everywhere. Thieves guild of riften I would know you anywhere...

Feminist fantasy is funny sometimes in how much it wants to shit on femininity for no goddamned reason. Like the whole “skirts are tools of the patriarchy made to cripple women into immobility, breeches are much better” thing.

(Let’s get it straight: Most societies over history have defaulted to skirts for everyone because you don’t have to take anything off to relieve yourself, you just have to squat down or lift your skirts and go. The main advantage of bifurcated garments is they make it easier to ride horses. But Western men wear pants so women wearing pants has become ~the universal symbol of gender equality~)

The book I’m reading literally just had its medievalesque heroine declare that peasant women wear breeches to work in the field because “You can’t swing a scythe in a skirt!”

I love when fictional tough guys have Their Girls

Like all of the big emotional moments that happen between love interests and relatives usually, are happening between him and His Girls.

Maybe one of his girls is a love interest, but not always. at least one of them will be younger than him and that’ll play an important role in their dynamic and why he’s so protective of her. And/or by a certain point one of his girls is undeniably tougher than him. And she’s still his girl, it’s a life sentence of a title. He lives to make sure that his girls are scarier than him.

And yeah bla bla misogyny and I just like when patriarchy men defend women. But i also like when media that was created under a patriarchal system decides that the toughest, manliest and scariest things a man can do is love, respect and care for the women around him without any ulterior motive of romance or sex.
