Sharpedo thankfully did not think the floating hairy man was crazy, but more of a weirdo who needed to pick up a day job or a fulfilling hobby.

And if anyone looked at her anyways they’d be put off by her appearance alone, tail swaying behind her as she pulled her hood over her head and stuck her hands in the front pockets.

“Whatever you say, Sasquatch, you’re not the first to think you’re the hottest shit in this region. Any reason you wanna trail me or did you also hear a new video game came out?” It was the sole reason Sharpedo had ventured into human-inhabited land, intent on getting the game on its release day even if it killed someone.

“Ah, alright.” He gave a grin as he followed along after her, continuing to float along his merry way, “Oh I know you aren’t. And nothing scares me girl. I can’t die. Running a world full of Demons and people who’ve been damned does that to a man, especially when they’re immortal.” She might start thinking he’s crazy at this point, but hey, to anyone watching her right now, they’d think she’d lost it. He was allowing himself to only be visible to the gijinka after all.

As mean as that was, hey he is Satan or more so the human version. What was that Pokemon’s name again? Oh well, it’d come to him.

If anyone loved the ocean, it was Sharpedo, Queen of the Sea, Demon of the Trench. These waters were her domain, and she had developed a knack at knowing if anything foreign swimming around.

Hence magenta eyes zeroing in on a newcomer padding about underwater. She was used to tourists and all that, but rarely did she see someone toss themselves in and sink with intention. They didn’t even have any fins or flippers! This only made Sharpedo want to watch them more. She never saw a creature like them before and curiosity was itching at her to go up and find out more.

Body moved in absolute silence as she neared. A feral grin stretched across her face at finding she had gone completely undetected – water must feel too amazing. Sharpedo’s smirk only stretched farther at that notion; she knew exactly what letting one’s guard down costs in these parts: often or limb or a life.

I should give them a friendly reminder, she reckoned, opening up her jaws wide.

A second later a commotion shook the water. Along with Sharpedo’s jeering snorts.

Poking her head up above the surface she got a better gander at the other. Their appearance only made her laugh more, bubbles rising around her as she took in their soaked figure.

“I should be asking that to you, Fishflakes. Fresh meat is hard to come by in these waters and the first thing you do is throw yourself in. I couldn’t taken an arm or a leg, but I’m being nice today so I gave you a nibble.”

                        Looks aside, Hydreigon actually enjoyed the beach. More specifically, he enjoyed swimming at the beach; he was a powerful swimmer for a non-Water-type, and he’d be damned if a trip to Hoenn didn’t include a dip in the ocean. The waters were much warmer than Unova’s own rocky coast; as hard-lined as he was even he liked to enjoy himself… When nobody else was watching him. The Plasma Grunts he’d come with had all gone off to seek out whatever it was they’d come for anyway - some deal on Poké Balls for the team? - and he had all the time in the world until he inevitably had to drag their incompetent backsides back to Unova. The Dragon-type slipped into the water fully clothed, letting himself sink until he was on the bottom of the ground kicking up sand and small shells and pebbles. As a Deino he’d made it a habit; one of his favourite past-times was to come to the pool of water in Victory Road he’d lived by after a long day spent brawling and just throw himself into it. At first it’d been to ease the pain of any gashes or cuts he’d accumulated throughout the day blindly biting at Pokémon and running into sharp stone walls, but floating in water was just a pleasant feeling overall.

                        That is, unless something bites you. 

                         Something had chomped into his tail, and he immediately twisted around to headbutt the aggressor before twisting and thrashing his way back onto land. He threw himself around sputter and soaking wet, holding himself high despite the throbbing ache in the base of his tail and all the heavy layers of wet clothing weighing him down.

                         "Who is it?! I’ll crush you! Who the hell do you think you are-?!”
