I haven’t seen the HTTYD remake yet but it’s hilarious to me how John Powell wasn’t allowed to use the same track names so he just decided to be a troll.

So I've started to get back onto my sword Silver au and... I was not expecting Silver to sound so sharp as I'm writing him, then again I suppose that's what happens when your trapped in a sword for over 700 years living with someone like Lilia as a companion.
Poor Lilia, probably one of the only people who has a sword that backtalks him while simultaneously criticizing his form.
#ramble time#I am now committing to this#seems like I enjoy seeing a sarcastic yet sweet Silver#especially when he has to manage his 3 fae

The Dragon and the Gargoyle 🐉
“Malleus was contemplating the view for hours alongside his silent friend, the gargoyle. It was still pouring but the sound of the rain soothed his mind. This very moment warmed his heart because he felt somehow understood and accepted as a whole. He genuinely smiled for a few minutes.”

Kā mihi o te tau hou, ā, mānawatia a Matariki e hoa mā!!
Happy Māori new year friends!!
At least here, Matariki has risen and it’s the time of celebration for the Māori new year, and is the time for the traditional new year for many indigenous peoples across the pacific, from here in the south in Aotearoa me Te Wai Pounamu, to Fiji, to Hawai’i, and off the coast of Argentina!
It’s a time to set intentions for the new year and remember all those who have passed in the last year into Raroheka, guided and protected by the whetū Pōhutakawa. Times are tough as of late, but I’m hoping that everyone will pull through and share joy throughout the coming year regardless of hardship.

When a Character Is Lonely but Doesn’t Know How to Say It
It’s not always visible. Sometimes they’re surrounded by people and still feel like they’re drowning in the silence between sentences.
⊹ They linger a little longer after conversations. Just in case someone notices.
⊹ They always ask “how are you?” but dodge it when it’s asked back.
⊹ They invite people to things... but laugh it off if no one shows. “I didn’t really care anyway.”
⊹ They scroll through old texts and consider replying. Don’t.
⊹ They talk to themselves. Out loud. Just to hear something.
⊹ Their smile is quick, but their eyes are slow. Tired. Watching.
⊹ They keep themselves busy. Loneliness echoes louder in stillness.
⊹ They volunteer. They help. They overgive, because maybe someone will need them enough to stay.
⊹ They laugh at inside jokes they weren’t there for.
⊹ They crave being chosen. They’ll never say that. But oh, how they ache for it.

Just going through WIPs again
.......................
‘Silver my dear, what are you doing?’
Lilia stands just on the shoreline of the large pond, raising an amused brow as his growing, nine year old son scrambled around on a small island in the middle, their metal gardening rake held proudly in hand ‘I’m helping Lord Malleus with his shedding!’ he yelled back.
In response the island suddenly shook and trembled, prompting a squeak from the boy as he fell on his rear. Two massive curling horns broke through the water, followed by a pair of burning green eyes. Lilia leapt back as the head fully emerged, water cascading from its maw ‘aw, you didn’t have to get my cloak wet!’ whined Lilia as he wrung out said cloak, the dragon huffed irritably, blowing hot steam from its nostrils, clearly miffed at the interruption. In the water, ranging from Lilia’s size to the size of small cabins were papery ghost pale sheets of molted scales, new ones glistened as beautifully as polished obsidian under Silver’s diligent efforts. A stream of bubbles burbled right next to the dragon’s head, growing larger by the second until a tiny half fae’s head popped out with a cute little gasp ‘Master Lilia, look! I’ve finally managed to trim Lord Malleus’s claws!’ he shrieks triumphantly, lifting what appeared to be a claw clipping the length of the boy’s entire arm. Before Lilia could reply, the little boy shrieked in surprise as a perfectly manicured claw raised him out of the water then placed him gently on the little island of dragon hide with Silver before it nudged Lilia away in a clear dismissal.
Lilia scoffed, aghast at his dragon’s blatant rudeness ‘really Malleus, I’ve told you a million times you cannot have the children tend you whenever you begin to molt, there’s a reason there are servants in the castle who have more experience you know.’
His brief lecture is rewarded with a deep growl that would have sent many scampering with tails between their legs, but Lilia simply huffed with hands on his hips ‘don’t start with me mister, the children are training to be your guards not your servants, there’s a difference.’
‘Don’t worry father, Lord Malleus promised to let us use his tail as a water slide after we’ve helped him!’ his sweet boy assures as he and Sebek playfully wrestle. They both squeal in delight when a dark tail suddenly rises from the water like a giant cobra, showering them with the spray of lake water. Lilia sighs, knowing it an impossible endeavor to persuade his sons when both are in agreement… and it was rather hot out, so it would do good for the boys to cool off in the lake. But still - ‘you do realise you still have some paperwork back inside, right Malleus?’
Lilia has no time to disappear as a very harsh jet of scalding water is suddenly spat from the dragon prince’s maw, sending him flying as the dear children cheer him on.
