In this ever-changing world of entrepreneurship, success often hinges on a combination of practical experience, academic knowledge, and the ability to navigate the entrepreneurial mindset. In this blog, we delve into the transforming journey that we, as aspiring entrepreneurs, have been on. Exploring the crucial moments of our final pitching experience, the enriching insights gained from lecture series, and the journey in the course entrepreneurial mind.
Final Pitching

Exhilarating, demanding, and transforming are all words that come to mind when thinking about the journey that makes this pitching. It is a rollercoaster journey of emotions, beginning with the initial thrill of developing the business plan and ending with the nerve-wracking moments leading up to the presentation. This was the stage where all our hard work will be judge if it was good enough. The result was as satisfying during the times we were making this presentation. I have enjoyed collaborating with my friends in making this journey possible.
Lecture Series

Throughout the lecture series, it provides practical tips, real-world examples, and interactive activities to help students develop and hone their skills in entrepreneurship. This lecture series underlined different topics such as intellectual property (IP), start-up and incubators. These topics are some of the things I thought that are irrelevant, but after the lecture series I realized that they are very important.
One of the speaker also tackled about failure. This particular topic has truly resonated with me. As a student, I've come to understand that failure is not just an inevitable part of life but also a crucial component of growth and success. The insights shared by the speaker have profoundly impacted my perspective on failure, helping me grasp its true meaning. Learning that it's okay to fail has been a significant revelation for me. It has liberated me from the fear of making mistakes and empowered me to embrace challenges with resilience and optimism. Instead of seeing failure as a setback, I now view it as an opportunity for learning, growth, and self-improvement. Understanding that failure is not the opposite of success but rather a stepping stone towards it has transformed my approach to academics, personal endeavors, and life in general. It has given me the courage to step out of my comfort zone, take risks, and pursue my goals with determination and perseverance.
Entrepreneurial Mind Journey
At first I thought this course The Entrepreneurial Mind is irrelevant as a engineering student. But as I took this subject I came to realize that this course is important for all students from different programs. This course transcends disciplinary boundaries, offering invaluable insights and skills applicable to students from all programs.
In this journey, I've learned that entrepreneurship is not confined to business majors but is rather a mindset—a way of thinking and problem-solving that is relevant to all fields of study. Whether you're an engineer, a scientist, an artist, or a social scientist, the principles of entrepreneurship—creativity, innovation, resilience—are essential for success in today's rapidly evolving world.
Collaboration across disciplines and the value of different viewpoints in fostering innovation have been emphasized throughout the course. Students from several programs come together in this course to create a dynamic learning atmosphere where ideas are shared, analyzed, and expanded upon.
In the end, my time in The Entrepreneurial Mind course has solidified my belief that being an entrepreneur is more than just launching a company. It's about developing the kind of mindset that allows people from all walks of life to seize opportunities, tackle difficult problems, and make a difference, regardless of their degree.

"Voices of Validation: Transforming Our Midterm Pitch into a Harmonious Symphony of Customer Insights"
As the dust settled after our midterm pitch, the real work began. A considerable amount of time was spent revising and refining our Business Canvas Model before we began conducting interviews with customers. A thorough evaluation of the input provided by our panelists during the midterm pitch was conducted, and we identified significant areas in which we might make improvements. Having gained a better comprehension of our Business Canvas Model, we proceeded to tweak it so that it was in accordance with the recommendations made by our panelists. Armed with significant insights from our presentation and an updated business model canvas, we set out to evaluate our service through direct consumer interactions. Here's a look at our journey, the voices we heard, and the lessons we gained along the way.

During the interviews we heard different voices of possible costumers of our service. They have their different perspectives and insights regarding the said services. With regard to the second and third students that we questioned, both of them have expressed their willingness to utilize our service in the event that it is feasible. The convenience that we are able to provide for them during busy hours is the service that we will cater to, and they are prepared to pay for that convenience with their money. For the fourth and fifth students, one of them stated that it would be feasible for some of them, but for her, it is conceivable that she will not be able to take use of the service in question. Given that she only receives a modest sum of money as her allowance, it is possible that she will not be able to provide that service due to the fact that she is unable to afford it. The remaining students that we interviewed were in agreement that they would make use of our services since it would provide them with the greatest amount of convenience during the times that they required it the most, such as during their classes when they were unable to leave the classroom premises.
With a flood of feedback and a reinvigorated sense of purpose, we're eager to map the route ahead. Our journey from midterm proposal to customer approval has been illuminating, reinforcing our trust in our service's revolutionary potential. As we continue to develop and improve, we are more committed than ever to providing a solution that enables individuals and organizations to succeed in an ever-changing digital landscape.

"Transforming Campus Life with MotorDER: A Journey from Discovery to Proposal"
JOURNEY OF COSTUMER DISCOVERY
Students at CMU are faced with a variety of difficulties, including problems with trash management and connectivity, as well as a limited of relaxation areas. Our group set out on a mission to discover new ideas and locate areas where there is room for improvement, armed with a sense of intellectual curiosity and a dogged resolve.
Through conducting interviews and participating in group brainstorming sessions, we were able to acquire essential insights into the requirements and challenges faced by our fellow students. One surprise that stood out was the fact that it was difficult to obtain needed products from the CMU market, particularly for individuals who had a limited amount of time available.
RESULTS
After thorough deliberation, we proposed the creation of a mobile application that allows students to conveniently request various items, from food to school supplies, with just a few taps. This solution aims to streamline the shopping experience and alleviate the burden of long walks to the market.
Excitement filled the air as we discussed MotorDER, our proposed rapid delivery service that aims to revolutionize campus life at Central Mindanao University (CMU). What is the response? Utter enthusiasm! Students enthusiastically accepted the idea, acknowledging its potential to transform their busy college schedules by offering unmatched convenience and time-saving alternatives.
The strong enthusiasm from students further solidifies our dedication to implementing MotorDER. We commit to creating an app that focuses on user experience, forming partnerships with various local suppliers, and maintaining affordability.

JOURNEY OF VENTURE PROPOSAL
Motivated by our findings, we embarked on a journey towards the horizon of venture proposal. Our objective is to create a solution that tackles the highlighted concerns and improves the student experience at CMU. As we presented our proposed MotorDER application to our Entrepreneurial Mind instructor, the excitement was apparent. We had put our hearts and brains into crafting a solution we believed in, but the moment of truth loomed huge. Will our efforts be approved, or will our proposal fall short?
The feedback we received was encouraging, validating months of hard work and dedication. Our instructor deemed the solution ready for pitching, affirming that we had successfully developed a viable solution to address the identified the pressing problem. The route from ideation to proposal was filled with difficulties and uncertainty, but in the end, our patience paid off. As we celebrated our victory, we looked forward to the next chapter of our entrepreneurial journey, certain that we had the vision, determination, and resilience to face whatever challenges were ahead.

Navigating the Path to Innovation
Welcome to AcademicOdyssey, a dynamic space where the spirit of entrepreneurship meets the heartbeat of Central Mindanao University (CMU). This blog goes beyond being just an assignment. This platform serves as more than a mere medium for sharing stories; it functions as a dynamic tapestry that brings together the voices, visions, and endeavors of the students. Our goal is to cultivate a culture where every member of CMU believes in their ability to shape their own future and the future of our school by empowering student voices and fostering an environment of creativity. To enable students to become agents of transformation, creators of advancement, and advocates of potential. Our goal is to go beyond the limitations of grades and criteria and inspire a sense of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration that goes beyond specific fields of study and has a positive impact on communities.

As I delved into my journey, I encountered various perspectives and insights from students at our institution. Here are some of the challenges they face during their time here: Firstly, there are concerns about the lack of proper garbage bins in the market area, making it difficult for students to dispose of waste responsibly. Additionally, issues with internet connectivity persist in certain areas of the campus, hindering students' ability to communicate with others effectively. Moreover, some students struggle to find suitable spaces to relax during their break times.
Equipped with diverse insights and knowledge, my team and I gathered for a brainstorming session. The session was characterized by active collaboration, as each team member contributed their distinct perspectives and expertise. We examined various ideas, deliberated their merits, and questioned underlying assumptions. Through this process of ideation and iteration, we gradually narrowed down our focus to the most promising concept.
One interview particularly resonated with us, highlighting the inconvenience of long runs or walks to the market, especially for students with busy schedules. They simply cannot afford to spend precious time traversing the campus for their necessities.
To address these challenges and assist students, we propose developing an application. This app will allow students to conveniently request various items such as food, school supplies, printing services, and groceries with just a few clicks. Gone are the days of exhausting treks to the CMU market – now, everything you need is at your fingertips.
Every undertaking begins with a first step, and in the field of innovation, that primary step often involves having discussions with people. The interviews provided valuable insights and deepened my understanding of the subject. Innovation is an ongoing process rather than a final destination. Throughout the journey, one encounters obstacles and failures, although there are also instances of motivation and significant advancements. The experience has imparted upon me the lessons of the significance of collaboration in a collective endeavor. Actively engaging in the act of listening to others provides useful perspectives and knowledge that can be beneficial in future endeavors. Through embracing the process and maintaining receptiveness to novel ideas, we may successfully navigate this path and unleash the potential of creativity.
