The conversations between Phineas and Spahr in "Trustfall" and Weepe and Saskia in "Ghosts" are interesting to compare because they're in many ways two iterations of the same conversation. Both are the first proper conversation the participants have had since being separated in "Moonfall". Both occur after one participant had good reason to believe that the other had died (with that person being described as a ghost from the other's perspective in both cases). Both delve into how one party has ruined their counterpart in spite of caring for them.

But where they differ is while Weepe and Saskia's conversation centres Weepe, the party who did harm, Spahr and Phineas' conversation centres Phineas, the party who was harmed. Weepe spends most of his final conversation with Saskia doing what she quite accurately describes as: "unburdening on [her] in [her] final moments with his fatalistic bullshit". He explains what happened to him that caused his Fold ailment, and how he believes he is simply a bad person fated to do bad things and that's why he sold out Saskia and the rest of the Black Candle Cabaret. He uses who he used to be and what he believes of himself as an excuse for what he did. And when Saskia tries to explain that that's not how it works and the reason she's upset with him is because he's not inherently evil but because he chooses to be and the reason his betrayal hurt because he was good to her prior, Weepe more or less ignores her in order to continue to wallow in his belief that he could have done no different.

With Phineas and Spahr's conversation, though, Spahr not only lets Phineas be angry with him, and agrees he should be angry with him, but Spahr also apologizes for putting Phineas through what he did. He also doesn't make excuses for himself, even though we the audience know that the most harmful elements of his relationship with Phineas were carried over from his own relationship with Costigan. Spahr is also tuned in enough to Phineas' anxieties about having destroyed the Valor system to do an impromptu Breaking Even ceremony for him to help him make peace with his own choices. The whole scene is fundamentally about Phineas in the same way that the scene between Weepe and Saskia is fundamentally about Weepe.

The conversation between Phineas and Spahr focuses on Phineas and how he was hurt and beginning to repair the damage that was done to him. The conversation between Weepe and Saskia focuses on Weepe and why he did harm and why he will continue to do harm. And this difference in focus is even reflected in how each conversation ends: Spahr and Phineas reconcile, and Saskia and Weepe will never be able to.
