I'll never forget the trip to the most famous beach in China 12 years ago.
It was unforgettable that the biggest typhoon that year had landed when I got there. Because of that, my schedule was ruined. What is more, the flight for return had been delayed. Thanks to that, It really got on my nerves that I had been waiting in an airport for a whole night.

I was born and grew up in an old, small town in China. But I moved to Japan ten years ago. When I went back to my hometown three years ago, I found that it has changed a lot. Bicycle-sharing has increased dramatically, you can see it everywhere. A large tourist spot has gone up in the centre of the town, which consists of many restaurants, bars, and shops. I would say that now it is the busiest place in town. However, the neighbourhood where I had been living was the same when I arrived. The roads and sidewalks there were still uneven and dirty, for example. I wish it would have been improved since the last time I returned.

Hi mom, How's everything going? It's been ages since we last spoke via Skype. I've been quite busy preparing the IELTS exam recently. you know, It's driving me a little bit crazy. Because I'm doing a part-time job in the daytime, I only have time to study English in the nighttime, which is tiring! Apart from that, it's just same old, same old.

I drink coffee every day for several purposes. Needless to say, coffee contains caffeine and it has been said this chemical will make you become more cheerful, improve your productivity and brain function, and help you feel less tired. I tend to have have a cup of Espresso at the morning. At the beginning of my studying time, I like to grab a cup of American and after my study time I like to drink a cup of Latte.
In my case, drinking coffee with or without sugar or sweeteners depends on the aim as well. I have also heard about the relationship between sugar and the brain. Briefly speaking, brain functions such as thinking, memory, and learning require a certain amount of sugar. So I prefer adding sugar in my coffee if I am going to be working hard or after studying hard. But if I just want to be relaxing myself, I will choose black coffee.

I’m a third year PhD student in a university in Japan, but I’m planning to redo my PhD in Denmark. Many Japanese students do their PhD without any scholarship or other kind of funding, so they need to do a lot of part time jobs to support their research life. I’d been doing the same way for two years, and now I realise that it might be one of the most ridiculous things in the world.

It seems useless to me that even if I could get the qualification of completing the PhD programme from a university in Japan. Because after then, I still won’t be able to finish my PhD thesis without any funding in 3 years.

Today was sunny day. I was focusing on improving my reading skill in English at the library in my university. But actually I was not in the mood for studying. I fell asleep in the middle of reading a article.
