❛ I COULDNT AGREE with you more, mister darcy ❜ she gave a little laugh and a charming smile -— of course he was honest ; verging even on too much honesty, sometimes ( but that, she couldn’t tell him. praises are the way to a man’s heart, nanny always said ) but even when she was telling the truth, her words always felt a little too sugar-coated, a little dishonest. nevermind ; she knew her smile made up for it. ❛ especially in environment like this. i find countryside people always ready to tread on each other -— like the awful mrs bennet ! ❜

❛ NOW I DONT BELIEVE there are many young ladies as fine as your sister, mister darcy ❜ georgiana was the apple of his eye ; if there was anything plain about his character, it was the adoration he bore his little sister. of course she knew, through charles, that there had been some ghastly story involving her a few years ago, though she had not been let into the details, and which might have been the reason the man was so protective of the young girl. to be honest, caroline was dying for her to be presented at st james’ court, so she could brag about being one of her friends. she had understood now, that getting closer to darcy also meant getting closer to georgiana, and she believed she had done so very well these past few months, also minding to add compliments and flatteries whenever darcy mentioned her in his conversations. ❛ i’m sure london society would benefit greatly from her character. will she be introduced next season ? ❜

❛ it is agreeable indeed ❜ she had to admit her brother had not picked the shabbiest of places, as she had been afraid he would ( she believed it had all been thanks to darcy, who still had senses when it came to accommodation ) and that netherfield was quite a charming place for a quiet retreat for the summer. the society, however -— possessed only the rural vulgarity she despised. the fact her brother seemed to have grown attached to it already was something she would surely soon find concerning. ❛ but i could not stay here for longer than a month or two, brother. the people are... less interesting, i find ❜

❛ dear sister , do you not think the country to be absolutely SPLENDID ! ❜ not a question , but an exclamation of his OWN excitement , wishing for others to rejoice with him in it . it’d not been long since his purchase of netherfield park , but bingley felt himself ALREADY right at home . if the simple charm of the country itself weren’t enough to please him , for indeed it was , a certain someone who he’d quickly grown JUST as fond of who lived but three miles away made for him a suitable anchor . a REASON to stay . he’d be a fool to distance himself from the absolute angel that was miss bennet . he grins , nay BEAMS as he looks on to his sister , perhaps E X P E C T I N G from her the same , ❛ indeed , i can find in it NO fault whatsoever ! ❜
