Literally on top of all the other Alone Time and setbacks, I chose to sacrifice as much as possible to continue years and years of unpaid work on my art portfolio and other business endeavors. ⁣ ⁣ Why do you think it takes me so long to pos agest old work? The best day of my life happened last month when Chicago High School Educator @violet.xochill asked if she could use some of my images for her class curriculum “about the Henry Horner Homes and the criminal “justice” system/its treatment of black men…” This photo was ten years old but was actually being used to educate and heal people as intended! Start with the youth and reteach the nation!⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ (Part 3/5, continued…)⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ I asked this friend of 14 years about her delight at my struggles and scorn at my dreams, mostly because I was concerned for her well-being. At which point she ended our friendship entirely to avoid the confrontation, basically revealing that she had been stringing me along the whole time.⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ When people are too cynical and fearful to follow their own dreams and confront their own bullies, they will project those limitations onto you. I know that I have my head spinned on quite snugly and cutely and have many many surprises for you all coming soon with my delightful 🐛Reemergence🦋 in 2020!⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ I’ve had gatekeepers in the fine art industry gasp, drop their jaw, and say “the colors!”…5 years ago when they saw my photography…telling me I’m a genius...but then they told me that at 21 I was too young. Too young for what? To make a living? The truth was that they were fearful to make waves.⁣⁣ ⁣ I had best friends in high school who copped every fancy photo of mine for their prof pic. La Renaissance de Jeanette 🔥, self-portrait, 2019⁣ ⁣ (…continued, Part 2/6)⁣ ⁣ The test of faith was that I was the only person who was vulnerable about expressing my true self and methodically chasing my dreams while openly asking for help and support. I was the only person brave enough to speak up about anything, whether it was confronting a huge bully or addressing the cold shoulder of a passive aggressive friend. ⁣ ⁣ My opinions, ideas, visions, and dreams are rather unique, yes. But that is exactly why they will be helpful. That is exactly why they will make a difference. ⁣ ⁣ Some people live life with amazing parents and real-life mentors and role models, and this is a blessing I’m happy they have! I lived a life where relatives called me psychotic and told me I had the devil inside of me when I stood up against their abuse…plenty of Alone Time for me with a largely estranged and toxic family full of ancestral wackness that they prefer to avoid.⁣ ⁣ I also had a husband who walked out on me when I was unemployed and sick with 40 health problems, including an autoimmune disease. This was my partner of 7.5 years since high school, not some random I met off the street. And 5 of those relationship years were long-distance, so fuck all that miserable Alone Time anyway!⁣ ⁣ And freshman year at Georgetown! 🤢💀 how much more alone could I get lol…Shouts to @quartzion55 tho 😍🤣. ⁣ ⁣ And then when it was all said it done (7.5 years relationship + 1.5 years separation, my whole damn decade), my family revealed that they never really liked him anyway, and my best friend said the same. And then my best friend said that it was also so strange and confusing when I decided to go to Georgetown and it made a lot of sense that I would transfer. ✨Through the years we all we be together / if the Fates allow / until then we’ll have to battle through somehow / so have yourself a merry little Christmas night✨⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Okay I think the original lyrics are “muddle”, but I would much rather “battle” through, wouldn’t you? Morale, folks, morale!!! 🛡🙌⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Happy holidaze! 🤩 And with the end of the Alone Time series marks the end of a decade that for me was truly full of Alone Time, sometimes unwillingly beyond of my control and sometimes completely and necessarily intentional. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I believe that life is a test of faith. I believe that the biggest pain and struggle in each individual’s life lies in the area they are supposed to refine and master in order to excel and lead, to heal others who were just like themselves.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For me, this test of faith has manifested as an almost absurd routine of narcissistic and neglectful psychological abuse by my closest family and friends…and the unfortunate slow dawning of the realization of this behavior and its nuanced ingrained effects in me…and then the long journey of me hoping to confront and improve relations with said peoples…who, unfortunately, as narcissists, responded with the most stubborn and resistant gaslighting and abandonment techniques for extended durations of time.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The absurdity of it really was that almost every single important person dropped almost methodically like flies. The pain of it all became most severely apparent when the number of people I felt I could reach out to dropped from 1 to 0. That’s an icy feeling, at which point I scrambled to find 2.5 old friends and 7.5 ish social media friends who came through like gs and are crossing over with me into 2020.
