Day One. Wekerletelep, Budapest The construction of this area began in 1908, and until 1925 when the Great Depression forced to abandon further development, 1007 houses were built containing 4412 apartments. The main, central square was very important for the concept of "building for the community", thus planning of the main square was a separate project, won by Károly Kós one of the star architects of the period that designed it taking inspiration by Transilvania urban plans, In its early days, Wekerle spawned co-operatives and community associations, but under the Communist regime, the community association was closed and the estate began to decay. Now the community association is active again and there has been a renaissance of community action, environmental ventures, and volunteering by residents. Tracey lives here for 25 years.

Chapter 5. Budapest. One Planet
18 - 21 February. During our residency in Budapest, we met several people coming from the activism field who are trying to imagine new forms of resistance especially through the struggle of climate justice. Self-organized schools, individual militants, radical movements and very special kids are questioning the way of living together approaching the urgency of the disaster of the planet as a priority for which we need to fight. People we met: Tracey Wheatly from Védegylet movement (Protection for future movement) Gregory G-Ras from Ligetvédők movement (Protector of the Citypark) and Animal Rebellion Movement Cili from Valyo (Donau river activists) Anna, 8 yo, Pannonia Elementary School, passionate, engaged kid inspired by Greta Thunberg

Chapter 4. Rennes. Mon temps ton espace
11 / 19 Novembre 2019
