it’s so bizarre when animated American films are set in a certain location and then only certain characters have the accents of that place. It makes no damn sense!! like
WHY IS SHE MORE FRENCH THAN THE REST OF THEM???

PSA gays: if you're wearing a mesh/lace shirt to a pride fest, sunscreen your whole chest/back before putting it on. I can't live to see another diva fall prey to sunburns with bizarrely specific patterns.

REMEMBER:
if you don't understand the post at a glance it's because op wrote it wrong and needs your help
if the post doesn't contain all the contextualising information you need to understand it, op is gaslighting you
if you haven't experienced the phenomenon the post describes, op is making it up for clout
if you haven't encountered the type of person the post describes, they're a strawman that doesn't exist
if the post doesn't address a topic you'd prefer to talk about, it's a distraction, missing the point, and talking over you
if the post makes a good point, it is your duty to contribute to human enlightenment by nitpicking it to be more correct
and most importantly:
every online conversation is a competition and you must win

Just a little PSA for all our mental health (and chronic pain*) spoonies out there! A lot of doctors neglect to mention this little side effect, which means a lot of us are suffering extra from the heat without knowing why.
*Many psych meds are used to treat chronic pain as well, if you didn’t know!

random heat survival tips from someone who grew up in a house with no aircon in central australia (40C+ temps sometimes for weeks on end)
soak your clothes in water and put them on, wear until dry
soak a shirt in water, put it in the freezer for a few hours, then put it on
wet (optionally frozen) bandana around the neck/on the chest
drink more water than you're comfortable with BUT MAKE SURE YOU
also eat a lot of salty snacks/drink plenty of electrolytes. ice cold kombucha or apple cider vinegar drinks are a+++
move slowly, sleep thru midday/afternoon if possible, save all activity for mornings or nights
seriously if you can get away with it just straight up become nocturnal
suck on ice cubes or frozen fruit juice
reduce how much you eat. you probably wont have much of an appetite anyways but tiny cold meals are ideal
for sleep: wet towel on face/neck + fan/some other airflow are lifesavers
cold showers are great for cooling down in a pinch. don't dry off after just let yourself air dry
