John Rey's blog#1
Hello everyone, it's me, John Rey! I am so excited to start this blog and tell you all about myself.
Introducing Myself
Firstly, I was born and raised in Gerona Tarlac, a small but beautiful town located in the central part of Luzon Island. The town is known for its rich history, culture and heritage. My hometown is surrounded by rivers, which provide a breathtaking view and an excellent spot for outdoor activities such as fishing.Unfortunately when I was 3 years old , I lost my father at a very young age, and as a result, my family and I moved to my Lola's house in Eastern Samar specifically in Brgy. San Isidro.
In my free time,I enjoy watching anime, movies, and playing online games. My favorite anime series is Haikyuu, and I have watched it countless times. I also enjoy watching action and adventure movies. Moreover, I like playing online games with my friends. It's a great way to bond and have fun.
During my highschool I joined was called An Lingganay, which was a press conference where students showcased their talents in journalism and writing. I discovered my talent for art during this time and became an editorial cartoonist for our school's publication.

History of Padul-Ong
The Padul-ong Festival is a religious and cultural festival celebrated in Borongan City, Eastern Samar, Philippines, every September 8 in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the city's patron saint.Padul-ong Festival comes from the word "Dol-ong", which in the Waray language means deliver or transport. As a fiesta, it recalls the miraculous journey of how Nuestra Señora dela Natividad (Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary) became the patroness of Borongan during the Spanish rule. The festival features a variety of religious and cultural activities, including a fluvial procession, a civic-military parade, street dancing competitions, talent competitions, sporting events, and a music festival. It also features a "festival-within-the-festival" called the Borongan City Native Pig Lechon Festival, which showcases the city's famous lechon dishes

Ride a Ferris Wheel
One memorable moment I had during Borongan's town fiesta (piryahan) was when I rode the Ferris wheel. After purchasing my ticket, I climbed into one of the ferris wheel baskets. As the ride started, I felt a sense of excitement as the ground slowly disappeared beneath me. I gazed out at the panoramic view of the fiesta grounds, the colorful stalls, and the bustling crowd below.
