Christmas Time
Those two pictures were made for advertising purposes. The first one is for a Christmas candy shop. I used elements of pictures taken in different places: the horse and the elves were from Santa-Claus parade, the background was from Jean-Drapeau park. The candy pictures were taken in the studio.

Christmas Candy house!
The second picture that also is in a Christmas mood is classic and can be used for a bank ad such as a TD Christmas ad. The elements were taken from pictures of the Santa Claus parade. Since it was a cloudy day, the elements blended well with the background.

Zombie bus with a zombie fireman. The image is special because of the strong contrast of colors. Yellow colors lead the viewer’s eye to the firemen. During the retouching I increased the quantity of the noise; that creates a sense of fear and mystery. Some of the problems I encountered during the photoshoot was: very poor light, and a smart phones that appeared in the frame in the last second (which I had to remove from the picture after).

In that image this picture is noticeable because of the strong diagonal created by the man. The clarity of details makes the viewer to spend time to analyze them and try to discover other features of the character.

The first two pictures were in color, the second two I found, are creating a stronger impact in black and white. In this image the design principles applied are: rule of odds, the contrast and the figure ground. The three brides being in that case respect the rule of the odds, and the prisoner is the figure ground.

The fourth image is my favorite. We can very well see the rules of odds. As well, there is a nice symmetry. The decisive moment is having the picture captured when the eyes of the central character are closed.

Daily, millions of poor people spend the last money they have on buying lottery tickets hoping they will win and become rich. Gambling and lottery are some of the most profitable businesses. One third of Americans believe that lottery winnings are the only way to become wealthy, even if they have more chances of being struck by lightning than winning the lottery.
My main subject is a street man writing on a lottery ticket. The location is the metro area where most street people find their shelter. The main message is that luck is in your hands and you should not let yourself be blinded by empty promises.

In different cultures, flowers are offered as sign of respect and they represent femininity, fragility and gentleness. This message is dedicated to women. I embodied the female in a flower silhouette. The second object is the meter measurer which represents limitations and constraints that women face. The message is strong enough without a sophisticated background that’s why I chose a simple, white background.
These two objects together show one of the biggest problems that many women nowadays have: the fear of being not perfect. This fear ‘’ measuring’’ themselves according to society’s standards, constrain them; they do not really get to bloom, metaphorically speaking, or develop on a personal or social professional level. With this photo I'd like to warn hundreds of women that daily destroy their health by using medication or go through surgeries to be perfect in the society’s eyes.
Finally each woman is beautiful and different as each flower, so just break the string of mistrust and enjoy your life.

In this picture, the main subject is the book “Queen Victoria'’. That's why I chose a small f 5.6, thereby getting a shallow depth of field. At the same time I wanted to get a good quality of the details, which is why I used Exposure 1/6sec.
