also kinau built down, not up. they tried to avoid anything that was more than one floor, building quite wide usually. between the harsh climate and mountains, they both didn’t want to risk the structures or significantly alter the natural features of the planet. homes didn’t usually need to go down but a lot of public gathering spaces would. there were also hundreds of underground structures dedicated to commemorating battles, members of the council, and military leaders which largely resembled tombs like this.

#their architecture is largely why it took the nemise so long to attack and why they chose that day #the buildings were so low down and usually designed to blend into their surroundings that they spent years mapping out every city and town #as well as the entrances into the tombs #it's why there MAY have been other survivors of the attack and how her family was able to hide #the only difference was the power level and way out the kass's had while others would have perished along the way #* swallow their poison happily it was the nectar of your gods / worldbuilding.

kinau didn’t worship any gods. they believed it was their duty to protect the stars and they did that by conquering the worlds around them. they believed that in death they would join the rest of their bloodline to guide the new ones, travelling the universe. but ti would deny they had gods because the only thing they worshiped in any way was the universe itself.

#just here to talk about the kinau my heads empty otherwise #like this isnt to say they have no religion bc they do. it's there in the stories they pass down and the way they mark themselves #this doesn't mean she doesnt believe in gods she's seen wild things she just. doesn't have any she personally follows #when she learns of new cultures and their gods she will always accept they might be real. she considers herself a god too #but thats usually in reference to how 'above' mortals she is #* swallow their poison happily it was the nectar of your gods / worldbuilding.
