It is almost Bunny Day...
Well, if all else fails, maybe ask Bianca?

Peanut, meanwhile, proved to be a powerful networking agent, warming up to Kitty and surprisingly, Static.
She also supported the renovation efforts by not getting in the way.
Note, none of those are “sitting on one’s ass in the middle of a block that needs removal”. So that’s a plus. Good job not driving everyone nuts.

Still neighbors, but totally buddies now
Worried that Filbert would be sad and miss Goldie, Lucky offered to live nearby after we got done moving houses. They share responsibility over the artisanal bug cages and love playing games.

Meeting Peanut
Overheard, one tired Resident Representative, deep in a cup of coffee, traveling from island to island after not expecting Bob to depart so quickly: “Next squirrel to ask about moving in gets a shot. Cats are so fussy.”
And that is how Wherever met Peanut.

A hazy shade of winter...
Meanwhile, much like the weather, things between Olivia and Static went progressively chillier as the winter set in. Deliveries became less mysterious, cute sightings dwindled to zero, Olivia started going to sleep much earlier (instead of 2am dates to the museum!), and miscommunication seemed on the rise.
But as the neighborhood was destroyed and rebuilt, housing slowly spaced out a bit, perhaps a thaw in relations became possible as a result...
Progress for our crabby squirrel and snooty kitty?

No matter how things change, Mitzi keeps on track with her reading.
Even as buildings moved around her for a couple weeks...
Meanwhile, the snow melted, Sprinkle bid her winter home a fond farewell, and Kitty moved in.
Bob stayed about “as long as he had to” (and not a minute more), and we went searching again.
Through it all, Mitzi kept reading, as spring slowly arrived.
