It used to be that cause related campaigns used the audience’s “guilt for not taking action while knowing about these problems” as a call to action. However, nowadays we are seeing a drastic shift in cause related marketing. This campaign by @leoburnettworldwide for Raising the Roof Foundation, Toronto, while using its fair share of guilt, uses both logic along with a great graphic use to deliver its message of homeless youth having unlocked and infinite potential. It will be interesting to see what results it generates.

I usually believe in ads being effective when they focus on the positive, especially for cause related marketing. But the ‪#‎NotThere‬ campaign does a great job of combining stats and a sense of urgency as a call to action along with humour ‪#‎internationalwomensday‬

Did you know that is a crowdsourced advertising campaign? This is where the future of advertising is headed and the agencies such as victorsandspoils who embrace it will be at a competitive advantage. As much as we hate to admit it, customers are always right.

Just the other day, I had a discussion with someone regarding marcomm doing good and being ethical in the world where marketing and advertising people are constantly called manipulators. This is not to say that we haven't had our share of bad guys (aka. financial advisors, weight loss industry), but alongside these mishaps, we have also had the good.
This campaign, "Dear Future Mom" is probably the best example for how a marketing message can be used positively, especially when it can reassure a mom about her child's future.
Kudos to @saatchi_sisomo and @coordown

Its hard to stay competitive in the smartphone industry, and sometimes good natured bashing is just what it takes to get your customers talking. This is how Samsung tries to form the “us vs. them” mentality and loyalty in its customers. This is the best @samsung campaign done as of yet, thanks to 72andsunny
