We’d been in the car for about 30 minutes when we realized that was as far away from home as we had been for a long time. Rainy Lake is remarkable. And hey, we actually caught fish this time! A couple of nice crappies and a 23” walleye that gave us a thrill - and went right back in the lake. Also had the best burning all day log we’ve ever seen. This is Nadia's concoction from yesterday, oddly prescient. The pandemic is affecting so many people in so many ways. We're thankful for our health today, and praying for those in need to get the care and resources they require. As for us, I'll be spending more time teaching the kids as I was laid off today. There are millions out there who are also facing this challenge, and I am thinking of them. We'll be fine, and we're looking forward to the new future, whatever is waiting for us there.
