The feedback from my tutor suggested to focus on hard object concepts like the Tic fmp project, I created a ancient environment that the military has occupied with scientist to understand the ancient weapon used in the building. I liked this as it provided many workstation environments within the concept.

FMP - Character Wheelchair Concept
We had a big group chat talking about the game mechanics, story and planning of productions as the group as a whole still haven't full decided on the game story. With time catching up with use the group decided to refocuses the group to the introduction of the game, exploring the mechanics and understanding of the VR player wheelchair.
With a solid game idea and objective the group wanted me to focus on the character wheelchair concept so that it could be modelled.
Once the wheelchair concept was completed the group was silent as some of the group members where having personal issues which resulted in the game development stopping and group disbanded as the deadline was closing in and so we went working on our own projects for the FMP deadline,

FMP - Tic Project
For this group project me and Janessa was set to do environment concept of this new game. As the game was a new idea this was a very experimental stage of exploring different layouts and mechanic ideas.
I focused a lot on the computer desk area as it was a focal point of the game idea and the player is going to interact their the most.
I also was experimenting and trying to understand the visual effects of the player having a breakdown making the environment more messy and sinister. However this wasn't strange enough for the groups idea but I improve on this later on.

Final Major Project - Tic Project
After presenting the Pitch of the game concept ‘New Roanoke’ the group decided to send the game to be funded, so we decided to pause on the game development and start on a new game idea in case the funding didn't work.
The new game concept was of a VR environment, a student that is working and panicking for a project deadline suddenly has a break down and see psychedelic stuff.

I have experimented vastly with different character roles and clothing designs.
*This is where I see that I have strayed far from my idea of making my pirate themed character stand out and be unique. I had gone into the stereotypical pirate design of scruffy gear but should have gone with expensive posh clothing and uniform.*

I have group silhouettes that I liked together to find the best combinations and also experimented with design of some key silhouettes that I liked.
I understand now after haven gone through this way I know that I should have created silhouettes as groups rather then individually so that they work with each other then against.

I knew that the shape of the characters where going to be key when creating a characters in general but also for groups as each characters need to stand out with their different personalities,
I struggled creating expressive silhouettes that satisfied me however I got there.

Specialist Pathway 2
- 3 CHARACTER CONCEPT IN SAME GAME/ AREA -
I wanted to create a pirate inspired character concept, however that is a very common and typical theme for a character. To make my pirate characters stand out I research a lot into the pirate era and found out about PRIVATEERS that are government employed pirates.

Environment Concept
After the pitch I continued the environment concept, designing and finishing the interior environment of the Midnight Raven Speakeasy bar behind.
After look closely at my research material and continuing the idea from my alleyway concepts and having the speakeasy bar underground making the environment small, close quarters and a little dirty.

Pitch Development
The designs pixel art signs to display on the shop fronts and also designed store price signs and also posters that will be displayed in the club. These are to be used in the unreal model environment.
I also created an illustrated artwork of club front to better portray the visual understanding of the game.

Pitch Development
Here I had the final environment concept that I likes and created a more detailed line drawing to better portray the environment. I look the shops faces and draw them out and annotated them with detail to make the modelling of the environment a more easier task.
The alleyway became an important part of the pitch so I created rough concept trying to making it direct the player to the intended direction.
