“Oh, yes, you all say that,“ she chuckled with an unpleasant grin. Sometimes it would be better to leave some comments to yourself, but Ivakir was not one of those people who were silent when you needed to be silent.

Perhaps, a little rest won’t hurt. She moved away from vials and the pipes from which the smoke came out, took off her protective goggles and put a curly curl behind her ear, which fell right over her face. The look she gave Adam clearly said that she was watching him. Because a person who asked you to take a break can’t have good intentions. She didn’t like it when people interrupted her work, when they told her what she needed to do.

"Since you have distracted me from my important business,” the witch said with undisguised arrogance in her voice, “then maybe you’ll stop worrying about me, like a cackling hen, and make tea or coffee?” she sent to her mouth some kind of pill, which didn’t look like a typical capsule from some kind of disease. “Besides, I do all the work here, so…”

So. She didn’t finish, only shrugged, giving a thick hint.

“Coffee,” he replied bluntly, hands shoved into his leather jacket’s pockets. “-you know that.. spooky foreboding act may work on mortals, but I’ve seen it done a thousand times,” he held one hand up “-not that you don’t do it well, but it takes more to rattle me. Now do you want to show me to the kitchen once you’re doing popping your pez candies?” he mused, nodding at the capsule she’d just swallowed “-and should I be worried about some manner of groovy trip you’re about to go on?”

“Five-year plan for four years. Have you ever heard this? Who will work while I sleep, eh? One hour of work is,” she thought for a moment, “so much money that I can spend on myself. I’ll go to sleep one hour, and then I’ll bite my elbows and stay hungry. Nobody will do the work for me. And while some idiot sleeps, I make money,” Ivakir shared such philosophical thought.

And to spend almost all your life in a dream, this thought terrified her. To sleep and do everything related to sleep was a miraculous stupidness. Why sleep, when time for sleep could be spent on something more useful, for example, щт cross stitching or improving relations with the family and playing Monopoly together? Ivakir didn’t do any of this, but fatigue, inability to concentrate and clearly express thoughts, bags under the eyes and the exhaled body should not be a hindrance to other great things!

“So, no, no sleep, no naps here. Sleeping is for stupid people,” the witch replied with trembling hands, trying to do her work, looking sleepily from under her very beautiful dark bags under her eyes, which were undoubtedly the rage tonight.

Adam listened to every word she had said. And the rant she went on only had managed to solidify his opinion that she in fact did need some sleep. But also the fact that she wouldn’t do so willingly.

The man was NOT good at subtle spell crafting. Not like his mother, especially his grandmother. He didn’t really have the big fire-power his grandfather had either. Jack of all trades, master of none was the best way to describe his powers.

But he focused his will and attempted to sneakily extend the fingers of his right hand, whispering under his breath “-Moon shall rise, sun shall fall. Every creature great and small, needs to sleep, within my view. So sleep shall come... and that means you.” and with an effort of will, he attempted to lull her into sleep.

Caught by surprise, it only took him a second to return her kiss now, His hands moving to rest gently on her behind. Deepening the kiss now, soft little sounds escaping him as they kiss, eyes closed, letting the sensations wash over him.
