- Drawing trip and a catch up in one - (Two weeks ago) The city where I lived for a good 3 years, studied and have lots of great memories of it in general. I'm always excited to go back and check out some of the old places! So we started by checking out retro games and retro toy shops (Leicester has a few nice places like that (⁠✪⁠㉨⁠✪⁠) ). Then our first drawing location was @stmartinscoffeeshop . Followed by @firebugbarleic for a drink and games. Then we moved to @sonrisa_restaurant to try sketching again, but of course catching up took priority. I haven't seen one of my uni friends in probably half a decade at this point... And lastly it was my first time at @metal.monocle for a local gig experience, drinks and play pool, and drinks?... Studied bears, check. Studied samurai armour, check. Was bored while waiting for my next train at King's Cross, check. No idea why that happened to be the best time to draw, but it ended with a result which I really like now. I'm happy to share this resting warrior! It's common for me to draw in busy or loud or rushed situations... No idea where this was drawn. Possibly in a cafe as usual. I watched a few documentaries by NHK World Japan on Japanese castles and Samurai. A lot of general information from that inspired this drawing. This is from a few weeks back. Had a trip with a friend down to London for @katatoniaband ! And their support was the amazing @solstafir_official ! We had a goal to sketch a bit, but that failed. There was too much to explore & we've been hangover a little. Rose is lethal... Battersea Power Station round II - This time interior ʕ⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴥ⁠ꈍ⁠ʔ Day out with the awesome Urban Sketchers of London. Out and about like every month haha. This time a revisit of a location we've been to previously, but now the construction works have been completed and it's opened up to the public. I picked slightly too complex subjects for my format, so felt the time run out a little too soon. Colours still needed some work. But it's done and the "instax" shot of the moment has been captured. I've been drawing another furry friend to test out a few different techniques. The detail made using these curvy lines works so much better. Fur has more volume and a cleaner direction. Hi, it's short trip time! Currently chilling at a different city for a change. I was relaxing at a pool with my family earlier, and had spare time for drawing from imagination afterwards.
