JAMES.
@addieollivanderâ
âhypothetically,â he started, no greeting, no preamble, as he planted perched himself on the edge of the counter of the herbology shop, watching addie do ⊠whatever it was addie was doing (that he was interrupting), âif a plant was poisonous to humans, but not to animals, but a person was part animal, and ate that plant anyways, would it still be poisonous to them?â
      â first of all ,  i am not an expert .  so i would take anything i say with a grain of salt ,  but i think if youâre part animal ,  then it would still be poisonous even in your animal form .  youâre still human ,  youâve just shifted into another form ,  right ? â  addie leaned against the counter and looked at james .  â i wouldnât recommend anyone eat poisonous plants .  that could go dangerously wrong . â Â

CRESSIDA.Â
cressidaâs brows were furrowed as she listened. the vibe cressida was receiving off the customer in front of her was strange â she wasnât sure how to specify it, though. how to label the feeling. âmy parents arenât letting me get them this year.â sure, it could mean the family couldnât afford it due to money but⊠to her, it didnât feel right. the way it was worded bothered her. but there wasnât anything she could do about it, she supposed. with the bit of intrigue she had swirling in her brain, it took cressida a few moments to come back to the real world and answer the inquiry, âoh yeah, sure,â cressida answered, waving her hand in a nonchalant manner at all of the clothing in the shop. âif thereâs anything youâd want to try on, just for fun or something, donât be afraid to ask â itâs what iâm here for.â her customer service voice was still in effect.Â
     addie was not the type to complain about her home life .  there wasnât much to complain about anyways .  her parents typically didnât bother her and when they did usually they just complained about her .  it wasnât as bad as some people had to deal with so there wasnât a need to complain .  and addie knew they were better off buying themself a new set of robes .  since their mother was more likely to throw them in something horrible because her motherâs taste was horrible .  addie didnât mind really .  â of course .  fancy things just really arenât my style .  do you have a section for work clothes ?  iâd like to price out a new set of work robes . â  all she had to do was ask louise ,  but it kind of felt weird still to ask when they had perfectly capable parents to buy them clothing .  â i normally just work in regular clothing ,  but i think something fancy would be nice for after i finish this year of school . âÂ

( cis woman | she/they| kaylee bryant ) ââ isnât that ADELINE OLLIVANDER yeah that is them, sitting there at the SLYTHERIN table with those other SIXTH years. when sybill looks into that crystal ball of hers, she sees hands covered in dirt, gardens filled to the brim with flowers and herbs, scuffed shoes and second hand clothing, and herbology books written with little notes which seems about right for that EIGHTEEN year old. anyway iâve heard theyâre pretty FRIENDLY, SYMPATHETIC, and PREDICTABLE. apparently theyâre FOR THE LIGHT and PUREBLOOD but iâm sure thatâs not relatedâŠ

CRESSIDA.
gladragâs wizardwear had a few different shops across the united kingdom and whilst cressida usually found herself at the hogsmeade branch, the manager overseeing the shop in diagon alley had asked for an extra hand and so sheâd volunteered. she preferred the layout of the shop in diagon alley, easier to maneuver when walking around with customers and showing them the displays. after finishing ringing up the person whoâd taken an hour of her time on the floor, cressida smiled expectantly at the next person in life, nodding as they spoke. âlet me head to the back and check,â she told them, turning around and heading to the room that was filled with the finished orders â but she didnât see one for a percival ollivander. after a quick chat with one of her coworkers, cressida returned to the front â âthe robes arenât quite ready yet, but they should be finished within the hour. you can either leave and come back or stick around and browse.âÂ
     honestly addie didnât want to be running errands that her mother could have handled on her own ,  but if it kept addie out of the house then they were perfectly fine with running them .  addie tried not to think about how annoyed she wasnât getting new robes ,  despite the fact that she could use her own money to buy them .  it wasnât fair though that addie had to be the one that was responsible when she wasnât out of school yet .  they were annoyed at their family ,  waiting for a chance to get out the second she saw an escape .  â thank you , â  they said ,  a smile their mother would never give the other on her face .  she waited patiently for the answer to her question .  â oh ,  um ,  yeah .  thatâs fine .  can i stick around even if i donât plan on buying anything ?  new robes arenât ...  my parents arenât letting me get them this year . â  maybe they wouldnât buy addie new robes ,  but theyâd sure treat them like a slave as if that was better .  she knew it wasnât as bad as it could be ,  but she didnât want this treatment .Â

CLOSED / @cressidaxweasleyâ
     addie did not like when diagon alley was busy with school children .  it meant that they were twice as busy helping with the herbology shop and occasionally running errands for her uncle and cousin .  today unfortunately ,  theyâd been sent on an errand to pick up new robes for their brother .  â hello ,  iâm here to pick up some new robes for ollivander ,  um ,  for percival ollivander . â  honestly ,  they hated being treated like a mule .  why didnât she get new robes for this year ?  hers were the ones falling apart because sheâd had them since fourth year . Â

      â billie ! â  addie called spotting their friend .  if there was one thing about going back to hogwarts that theyâd always enjoy and that was seeing their friends .  this summer was especially horrid ,  and adeline was very ready to get some distance between herself and their family . Â

AUGUSTINE.
@beforedawnstartersâ
âI donât want to go back to school,â Augustine complained out-loud to anyone who would listen to her as her hand scanned across the seventh year Herbology textbooks in Flourish and Blotts. Truthfully, she didnât know what she wanted to do: go back to school, stay home, or get out of dodge while it was still an accessible option for her. Narcissaâs birthday had always put into perspective how close school was coming, except this time it would be the last year where Augustine would have to feel the incoming dread. The dread for her upcoming seventh year felt worse than the initial six years. âBut if I want a good job, I guess I kind of have to go back.â And her parents would be even more furious with her if she didnât.
     addie was both looking forward and not looking forward to being back at school .  it was always good that they were able to get away from home ,  but they missed the herbology shop ,  they missed the bustle of diagon alley .  it felt kind of sad that this was their last little bit of freedom before the school year started and they had to spend it reminding their parents they were about to go back to school .  â i get that .  i wouldnât go back if i didnât have to . â  but they did .  louise wanted adeline to finish school ,  even if she could teach them more than theyâd learn in school .  sixth year was important though .  â it wonât be that bad right ? â  they truly dreaded school ,  being away from everything .  it felt like hogwarts was so far out of the way from everything . Â

EVAN.
@addieollivanderâ
âevan loved his youngest cousin but he felt too old to be here if he was being honest and he had work tomorrow. though that didnât stop him from grabbing a drink and going for a walk trying to find a sibling or another family member to tag along with until he eventually dipped. going into the gardens makes him feel sad, it was a hobby that his mother had taken up after his dad passed away, thee was a care that she put into it that she never did with her own kids. so when he sees someone else here he freezes for a moment. âyou know the party is over there?â he teases, taking a small drink from his cup.Â
     adeline didnât really know narcissa that well ,  but the invite had come to the house and their parents didnât give them much of a choice .  thankfully ,  it looked like billie was here too and that meant at least they had a friend .  adeline ended up where they always ended up ,  in the garden .  it was the only place that they liked to hang out when they were stressed .  parties werenât really their favorite events to attend ,  theyâd always felt more comfortable alone than surrounded by a lot of people .  adeline wasnât paying much attention to anyone ,  so their head snapped up when they heard someone speak .  â iâm aware , these plants are just so beautiful . â  they wondered who took care of them .  â iâve only seen some of these plants in my books . â

REGULUS.

who: open
where: diagon alley
âNo, itâs ridiculous. I went in to see if they could fix my collapsable cauldron and the man gave me a lecture on how collapsables arenât safeâ as if I didnât clearly know they could break, considering I was bringing in a broken one.â Reg scowled, taking a final look back at the shop. âI donât care if the damn thing offs me, Iâm not carrying around fifty pounds of iron.â
     addie didnât want to be doing errands for her uncle ,  but there was no one else around to do errands and her mother wouldnât have done anything correct .  so adeline listened to regâs tirade then rolled her eyes .  â right .  of course theyâre going to warn you . â  addie looked at him with a skeptical look .  â if you really have a death wish ,  then maybe you should just ask one of those friends of yours . â  personally ,  they didnât associate with the same types of people that regulus and her brother did .  â but go ahead yell at the peopleâs jobs it is to warn you of your collapsible cauldron . â

III. The Empress â Describe your museâs relationship with their mother.
     adelineâs relationship with their mother is complicated. charlotte ollivander is not a very kind woman, sheâs harsh and judgmental, the complete opposite of the warm and loving relationship addie has with their mentor. charlotte has two moods: the one where she is hypercritical of everything addie does and the one where adeline doesnât exist. itâs difficult for addie to have a relationship with someone who is hellbent on making their life miserable, and not caring if her other children are making life complicated for addie or not. at bestt, the middle ollivanderâs relationship with charlotte is strained. sometimes adeline wishes their mother would at least try to understand them, but addie has mostly stopped wishing for that day. now, they spend their time actively trying to avoid their mother and brothers in favor of the herbology shop. Â

DILAN.
âfrom your mum? you mean â are they mean to you, addie? you know you can always come down and meet me at hogsmeade or something, if things at home are â messy.â it was weird living at hogwarts during the summer with her auntie, except for the rare occasions her mum would come and take her on a trip. inviting people over was not exactly possible. âok, five it is! potions isnât my strongest either, i just donât have the confidence i need with it yet and i have to nail my newts this year.âÂ
      âyeah, unfortunately, she isnât really... she doesnât understand me.â none of their family really understood them and addie didnât know how to make them. âthings at home are fine, dilan! i swear.â addie had her mentor when things got too bad and really there were other people that had it worse. besides, addie never let their family get to them. she didnât need anyone to save her from them. âiâm okay with potions, but plants are easy for me. i can keep plants alive like itâs nothing. maybe this year we can help each other out. i donno how much i need potions knowledge to run the shop, iâll have to ask. canât hurt though, you know.âÂ
