The Benefits of Hiring Event Toilets
If you are hosting an outdoor event in Leeds or in any places this year, you may want to consider hiring event toilets. Event toilets have come on leaps and bounds in the past decade and are a fantastic solution to provide extra facilities for your guests. So many people hate attending outdoor events for fear of disgusting bathroom facilities, so you’ll be pleased to know that Addplant Ltd offers convenient and hygienic event toilets to fit your needs. As well as hygiene advantages, there are also some other benefits of hiring event toilets for your next event this year.
An Economical Option
When you are planning a huge event, your budget will be one of your top priorities. Building toilet facilities just for a short event is a huge waste of resources and would take far too much time for the number of days you plan to use them. You’ll save time and money while also protecting the environment by opting for event toilet hire.
As event toilets come in a wide range of price options to fit your needs, you’ll find something that’s suitable for your event size and scale. It’s important to have a rough idea of the number of guests you are expecting at your event in order to hire the correct number of event toilets to accommodate your guests.
Multiple Options
If it’s been a while since you last looked at hiring event toilets, you’ll be impressed by the range of designs and colours available to you today. These vary from standard toilets, which offer a seat cover, holding tank and toilet paper, to luxury wash rooms.
Luxury wash rooms are equipped with a washing station with running water, mirrors, and even music systems. You can also add toilets for the disabled, young children, or the elderly. Regardless of the type of people attending your event, you’ll find an event toilet hire option to fit your needs.
A No–Stress Solution
Event planners already have enough on their minds to spend time worrying about the toilet facilities for their guests. Your attendees should be your number one priority, instead of worrying if the toilets are clean or have enough toilet paper. Event toilet hire companies can offer you a toilet attendant with your toilet hire, who will ensure the facilities are maintained to the highest quality throughout the duration of your event.
No Plumbing Concerns
Clogged toilets are a normal occurrence at large events when the bathrooms are receiving increased use in comparison to a normal day. Fortunately, this doesn’t occur with event toilets. As they don’t have plumbing, there’re no leaks or clogging to worry about like you would with regular toilets. It’s one less stress for you to spend time worrying over, and instead, you can focus on what’s most important at your next event, your attendees.
By hiring event toilets for your next large event or festival in Leeds this year from Addplant Ltd, you’ll experience all of these benefits listed above. Of course, the primary function of your toilet hire is to provide additional facilities for the hygiene of your guests, but you’ll also find it to be an economical and stress-free solution wherever you are hosting your next event. Many people like to bring in extra toilet facilities when hosting a large gathering to avoid frustration from guests and staff members. With the addition of a toilet attendant with your hire, you also won’t create any extra work for your current cleaning team. For any questions about your next event toilet hire, don’t hesitate to contact Addplant Ltd today, who can help you find the right solution for your next event.

Choosing the right toilet hire for your event
Today, portable toilets come in different styles, types, additional facilities, and more. Good news for event organisers across a range of industry sectors who continue to see an increase in demand for events that offer something different, events that are located somewhere unusual, and events that still need to keep guests comfortable no matter what.
At Addplant, not only do we have a large selection of toilets for hire, but we’re also available to provide further information and advice, putting our years of experience and professionalism to the test.
Toilet hire for events
Parties, weddings, community events, and even music events are now held in more remote and unusual places than ever before. People now want to add something extra, something unique to their event, and don’t want to let no facilities hold them back.
The good news is, now you don’t.
With a range of toilets available such as party toilet hires and luxury trailers that can come fully equipped with all amenities, you can choose to have your event wherever you would like.
At Addplant, we understand that you want to offer your guests convenience, making them as comfortable as possible from start to finish.
That’s why:
We offer a vast selection of toilets available to hire
All of our facilities are competitively priced
We have toilets that suit any size and type of event you have planned
We ensure all of our facilities are clean, hygienic, and serviced to the highest standards.
Is toilet hire needed for your event?
Ensuring you have the right facilities at your event for your guests is essential and forms a big part of the planning process. Trust us; you want your event to be remembered for all the right reasons!
In this sense, you must plan ahead. Consider the space you have and what you’re working with, matched with the number of people you have registered to attend the event. A professional toilet hire company will then be able to work with this information and provide you with an outline of the facilities you will require.
The most popular events where you will find portable toilet hire includes:
Music Festivals – a lovely summer evening, listening to some music in a large, dedicated area requires portable toilet facilities to accommodate the masses! Placing these in different locations at the venue (depending on size) also reduces queuing. You also need to consider staffing the facilities to help keep them clean, hygienic, and fit for purpose.
Country shows – often taking place in large fields and rural areas country shows will have limited to no toilet facilities. Portable toilets and cabins provide the ideal solution for temporary outdoor events like this.
Corporate events – hosting a large team bonding event in the middle of nowhere and then not providing the right facilities for people will most certainly do nothing to boost morale. Portable toilet hire must come into the planning stage and be built into the equation to keep everyone happy!
Weddings – growing in popularity is an outdoor wedding. Don’t be put off your ideal location due to lack of facilities; simply look to Addplant’s luxury toilet trailer hire, offering style and convenience all in one!
Sporting events – most sporting events will have toilet facilities available; however, due to crowd sizes, these alone are often not enough. Portable toilets offer the flexibility and convenience needed to avoid queues from building.
When you choose to work with Addplant, you choose flexibility, professionalism, high-quality toilets.
Whether you opt for our standard event toilets or our luxury trailers, we’re positive we can find the perfect solution for your event.

To hire or to buy, that is the plant equipment question!
Project managers on construction sites often have some pretty tough decisions to make. One of the biggest ones however, mainly due to cost, is whether to hire or buy plant equipment.
Unfortunately, this is not an easy decision to make, and many factors come into force swaying the decision-making process.
Factors such as your company’s current financial position, how often the piece of equipment will be used, and whether you have the skills on-site to maintain and operate such machinery?
Below we provide some influencing factors that might help you consider whether to buy or hire your next piece of plant equipment.
Plant equipment
Analyse your needs
Reports and analyses conducted over time show that for a piece of equipment to pay off its initial purchase fee, it needs to be used at least 70% of the time. If, deep down, you know that this wouldn’t be the case, then hiring plant equipment might be your best option. If you find you’re using or planning to use the same piece of rental equipment, again and again, it’s also advisable to add your rental costs up and calculate if the final sum would exceed the price of buying the equipment outright.
Maintenance costs
Just because you’ve bought the plant equipment doesn’t mean the costs stop there. You will have ongoing maintenance and servicing costs with your own equipment as well as higher insurance premiums too. When renting equipment, you won’t incur these expenses as maintenance and servicing fall to the rental company; the only additional cost you will need to factor in is a fuel allowance.
Depending on your skills and experience and that of your team, you will need to consider the cost of hiring maintenance teams to service machinery regularly. This is an additional expense that many companies are keen to avoid.
What does the future look like?
Do you need a piece of equipment for a one-off project for it never to be used again? Or is it required for everyday use, where when looking at your future projects, it will be used over 70% of the time? It’s important to estimate the usage of the piece of equipment you have in mind and how much this can reflect against your business taxes.
Resale values aren’t what they used to be
Like driving a new car off the forecourt, plant equipment does decrease in value over time, and this must be factored into your accounting if you’re looking to purchase machinery outright. You also have to consider that not all brands hold the same resale value, so it’s vital to invest your time researching different brands and the long-lasting value they can offer.
Fortunately, at Addplant, we can take all the stress, time, and initial upfront costs away from you by providing plant equipment for rent that you can rely on.
With a variety of machinery, tools, and equipment to choose from, as well as full servicing and maintenance programmes, call 01482 867 227 and see how we can help you today.

Portable Toilets Available to Hire
Today, portable toilets come in all shapes, sizes, and forms!
When we think of portable toilets, most of us will be drawn to the single cubicle units we often find at music festivals and on construction sites, etc. However, with more and more events taking place outside, more luxury toilet blocks are now available, as well as larger units, urinals, those with washbasins, toilet attendants, disabled access facilities, and more!
The popularity of portable toilets has grown over the years as we opt for more and more outdoor events, but also because portable toilets are flexible and easily transported from location to location.
Making sure you chose the right portable toilet facility for your event, or outdoor project is vital.
Getting this wrong can lead to problems such as:
Queues forming
Lack of adequate facilities
Tanks overflowing
And more!
In this post, we look at the range of portable toilet units available and just what each has to offer.
Portable Toilets for Hire
Portable toilets provide an excellent solution where no toilet facilities or indeed, limited toilet facilities are available.
Facilities available to hire include:
Standards portable units
Disabled/access units
Mains connected units
Construction suitable units
Luxury units available
Baby change facilities, and
Urinals
The Detail
Standard portable toilets
These units are one of the most popular choices for events and construction sites, and one of the easiest portable units to set up! Standard units like these are extremely robust, suitable for all occasions, and all-weather. They also come with a cold water basin and manual flush, ultimately satisfying all basic needs.
Accessible toilets
These are often used alongside our standard toilets, offering complete facilities to all of your guests and staff. Suitable for those requiring wheelchair access, these units have larger doors, ramps, and much wider indoor areas. We often find these units to be popular for outdoor events and family gatherings where elderly guests find these facilities more comfortable.
Luxury units
Our luxury trailers are much bigger, but certainly, look the part. This type of trailer system offers your guests flushable toilets, lights, mirrors, hand basins, hand towels, and more.
A great all-round option for larger events and those where you know footfall will be heavy.
Urinals
Urinals are a great option to help keep queuing to a minimum. You can find different types of urinals available too: stand units with no doors or screens or a more luxury option, including blocks and cabins.
Mains connected
We’re aware that in some locations, it is not appropriate to simply offer a standard portable toilet, and where mains power and connection are available, this is much preferred.
Hooking units up to water mains and electricity can provide you with the option of offering cold and hot water as well as a hot heater.
Construction portable toilets
Depending on the length of the project, portable toilets on construction sites are often hired over a long period. When this is the case, regular maintenance and servicing will be booked in and carried out by our team of professionals.
Note: On construction sites, the recommended ratio is one toilet per seven employees.
Welfare units
As part of health and safety guidelines and regulations, construction sites must offer employees appropriate rest, change, and washing areas. And these can come in the form of welfare units.
Offering you the opportunity to create canteens, changing and drying rooms, and more, welfare units can be purposefully designed to meet your requirements.
Addplant
At Addplant, we have a range of portable toilet facilities to offer to all of our customers, catering to all needs, events, and projects.

How organised are you for your next event
Are you planning your next event and currently have a checklist that includes everything that needs to be taken care of?
We’re guessing the answer to this question is probably yes.
That’s because event organisers are just that. Organised.
However, what sometimes gets missed off the list is event toilets.
For example:
Do you need them?
What facilities are already available?
Do you need additional toilet facilities to support?
What type of event are you organising (as this will affect the kind of toilet hire you to opt for) Etc.
All of these questions and more, all come into play when we start looking at event toilets and making sure you’re equipped with the perfect washroom facilities.
Corporate Events and Weddings
If you’re organising an outdoor business event or maybe you’re looking into a magical garden wedding, hiring luxury toilets are a must.
These luxury trailers are available in a range of sizes as well as include optional extras, depending on your requirements. However, and most importantly, these luxury toilets for hire, represent you, your business and your special day – so getting them right is vital!
Luxury Event Toilets
Today, you’ll find a large selection of luxury event toilets and event toilet trailers available to hire.
All are ranging in size depending on space, specifications, and price.
However, with Addplant, we offer the most cost-effective prices around, and we work with you and your event team to discuss your event in detail including working with any space restrictions, guest numbers, etc., so you can get the perfect hire.
Quality and cleanliness are two of the biggest features that clients look for when searching for the perfect event toilet cabin to hire.
These features are vital to get right, as they can reflect you, your business, and your event.
To make sure you get the perfect event toilet for you, make sure to look out for:
Soap Dispensers/washbasins – all event toilets should have some form of washing/cleaning facilities for hands. The more luxury cabins can include washbasins with running water, and these toilet trailers are preferred for corporate events and weddings.
Adequate lighting – the best lighting for event toilets is LED lighting. Helping to make your guests feel safe when using the toilet by providing improved illumination.
Strip Curtains – making sure you have the right level of privacy and privacy features is essential to make sure your guests feel comfortable. Portable event toilets that are fitted with strip curtains are the most popular when it comes to protecting guest privacy.
Flushing systems – yes, you want a quality, cost-effective portable toilet solution. However, you still need to consider advanced flushing systems, i.e., those that are fitted with fresh/grey water flushing systems. In these instances, the water your guests use to wash their hands is then recycled for toilet flushing, also making these units more environmentally friendly too.
Trust a Reputable Company
If you’re looking to hire portable event toilets for your event, make sure to hire from a company you can trust.
Whose products are of an exceptionally high standard and who’s customer service is exceptional.

Fresh Portable Toilets, Even During Summer!
Spring and Summer are two of the most favourable seasons for outdoor events and parties. And of course, at most of these outdoor occasions, you won’t be too surprised in finding portable toilets providing a much-needed service for all guests.
However, in the summer months, due to a rise in temperature, it is also not uncommon for portable toilets to heat up, which can lead to smells being intensified.
Before ruling out hiring a portable toilet completely, in this post we want to talk about heat and portable toilets, some of the myths, some do’s and don’ts, and how to keep hygiene levels high at all times.
Starting at the beginning
Like anything, when you’re within an enclosed space, whether this is a buildings site toilets, portaloos, etc. when temperatures and humidity start to rise, so do smells. Often intensifying with the heat and appearing much stronger, capturing the entire space.
However, what we want to make clear is that it is not just portable toilets that suffer from smells intensifying in summer!
It can be ALL enclosed spaces. Enclosed spaces that are directly exposed to the summer sun, intensifying their surroundings and the smells that go with.
During the summer months, you will find a rise in the number of bacterial infections reported. Some of these infections can include:
Norovirus
Influenza
Salmonella
And more
It’s important to understand that not all of these bacterial infections can be caught through simply using a portable toilet. Indeed, many of these viruses are airborne, making them impossible to predict and avoid, especially during spells of warmer weather, when bacteria multiply at a much faster rate.
Ways to stop bacteria spreading
When it comes to tackling bacteria and the spreading of germs when hiring of portable toilets, we have a few do’s and don’ts up our sleeve.
For example:
DO make sure you and anyone you are with washes their hands thoroughly after using the facilities
DON’T place any bags on the floor of the toilets (it can be a breeding ground for germs)
DO wipe your feet on the mats provided when you enter and leave the facilities
DO use odour controlling products throughout the warmer months
DO additional book services and maintenance to help stop waste tanks overheating
Toilet Hire from the experts at Addplant
At Addplant, all of our portable toilets and trailers are cleaned and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. It’s what makes us truly stand out from our competitors.
All of our hires come fully stocked and serviced, and we will always work with you to provide the right level of servicing and maintenance to suit your requirements.
Some of the specific cleaning and tips we use to help portable toilets during the summer include:
Disinfecting the inside of all portable toilets regularly
Allowing time for portaloos to air out
Using great odour controlling products that are safe to the environment
We will also on occasion add additional fragrance dispensers
We use anti-graffiti cleaner to keep our portable toilet exteriors in tip-top condition
We wipe down all major touchpoints, cleaning them thoroughly as we go.
Portable toilets are a must for great outdoor events. Providing you with everything you need and so much more.
Taking extra precautions during the summer months helps to maintain high hygiene and cleanliness levels, and working with a professional team, like the team at Addplant, helps to put your mind at rest continuously.

All building and construction projects will work to project deadlines. With every piece of work, meticulously scheduled, so project managers and project sponsors know precisely what is happening at what stage and what is on the agenda next.
Keeping to these deadlines can be essential. Not just because of the knock-on effect, it can have on other trades if one element of the work is delayed, but also because delays mean cost – and no one wants to add additional costs onto the project’s estimations.
This can make plant services a critical part of the planning process, keeping projects moving, and having the plant equipment and right machinery to hand when you need it most.

Static Welfare Units – what are they, and why would you need one?
Providing welfare facilities for construction and building sites is, quite simply, a necessary must.
Abiding by Health and Safety regulations and ensuring compliance at all times, means employees must have access to appropriate sanitation facilities, including running water and basic kitchen facilities/break rooms.
The good news is welfare units help to meet this requirement and offer so much more.
Static Welfare Units
Static welfare units are what they say they are – units that are set up and secured in one location on site.
They aren’t to be moved from one location to the next, remaining in place for the entirety of your project.
Static welfare units can make a project manager’s life so much easier. Meeting all HSE guidelines, units come fully equipped with washroom facilities, seating areas, basic kitchen essentials (including a kettle, refrigerator, sink, etc.).
What’s more, one unit can cater for up to 10 people and is typically used on sites where there is limited mains connection or no mains at all.
A high-quality welfare unit (like those provided by Addplant) can also include a changing room and a drying room. Allowing your employees privacy while getting changed in and out of their work clothing, as well as the opportunity to dry work clothes if caught in unexpected rainy weather conditions while working on site.
Why choose a static welfare unit?
These types of units should be used when there is no access to any mains, offering you an easy and a quick start to your project, meeting all health and safety requirements from the word go.
Static welfare units can also provide the perfect office space. With most units suitable for up to two office workers, the area inside the unit can house shelves, desks, and seats. In some instances, you can also make these vandal proof by opting for double locks on doors, high-security windows, and shutters (your unit supplier will be able to help you with all of these extras if required).
Note: Most static welfare units are manufactured using steel which is vandal-resistant, to give you complete peace of mind.
As we’ve previously mentioned, these units can also provide changing areas and a drying room if necessary.
Washrooms will come as standard and will ensure all sanitation requirements are taken into account. Washrooms will come equipped with handwashing facilities and chemical toilets, all HSE compliant. These facilities will also be serviced regularly, and again this service can be agreed with your unit supplier upon receipt of the unit and amended at any time throughout.
Providing your employees with somewhere to sit during breaks, or to have a bite to eat is part of the HSE regulations. Static welfare units help meet this requirement by providing seating/dining areas, as well as basic kitchen essentials.
At Addplant, we offer a range of portable static welfare units for hire. Helping to ensure you remain fully compliant while projects on-site take place and showing your employees that their needs have been considered.
Providing you with uninterrupted service, our static welfare units come with a power generator, and we will not only deliver the unit directly to you, but we also install and maintain the unit throughout your project.
Call us today on 01482 867 227 for the most cost-effective prices around.

Rollers at Addplant
When it comes to types and uses of rollers, surprisingly there is more than just one type, with only one sole purpose.
As contrary to popular belief and from walking through the gates at Addplant, you’ll find several different types of rollers all designed for different uses.
Types of Rollers Available
Road rollers are machines designed to compact down the soil, gravel, asphalt, stone, and much more. Primarily used to create the sub-base layers during construction, you will mainly find rollers used within the road construction sector. Helping to create firm foundations no matter the material underfoot.
However, in some instances, road rollers will also be used on farms and even on waste sites when required.
The different types of rollers which you might find today include: –
Cylinder Rollers
A cylinder roller is one of the most popular types of rollers and also the most commonly hired. Their design is extremely straightforward, consisting of either a heavy drum or a pair of heavy drums, used to apply pressure to the designated surface.
These particular rollers are great at smoothing and creating even surfaces, even when crushed materials have been added.
They’re also reliable and durable. With the cylinder weight varying from two to eight tonnes, you have the choice of what works best for your project/situation.
How effective they are, depends on how well the drum is maintained and also the terrain and type of work they are being used for.
It’s always worth speaking with one of the teams at Addplant who can help make sure this type of roller is the most suitable for your requirements.
Vibratory Rollers
A vibratory roller is similar to a cylinder roller however with the additional feature that the drum vibrates as it rolls.
This vibrating mechanism forces out any unwanted air pockets and creates an overall dense layer of material.
These rollers are slightly more expensive, but the benefits of better results in a shorter space of time, often match the price increase.
Ideal for deeper surfaces, the drum on these machines weighs between 4 to 8 tonnes.
Note: The latest models of Vibratory rollers will let you turn off the vibrating action when not needed, letting you use the equipment as an ordinary cylinder roller instead.
Rubber Tyre Rollers
Rubber tyre rollers look very different to the others mentioned above as instead of a single or pair of drums; it has tyres spaced evenly in rows across the machine.
These pneumatic tyres are staggered in such a way that it ensures that pressure is applied evenly to surfaces.
This type of roller is perfect for smoothing tarmac, and when working with sandy soils.
Weighing between six-ten tonnes, you can increase the weight as well as inflate the tyres on newer models to reach the perfect pressure point.
Tyre rollers also work faster than cylinder rollers; however, they aren’t so great if you’re working with rough soil or rocks.
Tamping Rollers
Tamping rollers feature a studded wheel drum. Great for heavier surfaces such as clay soils, as the roller will not be in direct contact with the ground for a long period of time. Lightweight and better when working on sloping surfaces, these models can also come with a vibratory option if required.
Padfoot Rollers
A Padfoot roller is similar to a tamping roller but has larger studs on the wheel drum. Weighing as much as 40 tonnes this machine can still operate at speed.
Not sure which roller is right for you?
Call the experts at Addplant today. We can advise you on the best roller type for your job as well as offer cost-effective hire solutions tailored to you.

How to make your event more eco-friendly
Whether you’re hosting the event party of the year or organising and catering for a corporate event, your impact, and most importantly, your events impact on the environment needs to be considered very carefully.
For most outdoor events, you will need to provide event toilet facilities. The good news is, there is a way to reduce the environmental impact these facilities have on the area.
Eco-friendly portable toilets.
Using fewer resources than standard toilets, eco-friendly event toilets are growing considerably in popularity.
That and working with a professional company, like Addplant.
Companies who can provide you with state-of-the-art event toilets, dropping them off and picking them off at times that are convenient for you. Handling all of the finer details and offering you nothing but a smooth hire process.
To find out how to make your event eco-friendlier, going above and beyond the introduction of eco-toilets, check out some of our top tips below.
Making your event more eco-friendly
Look to hire eco-toilets. Ideal for reducing your impact on the designated area, eco-toilets also use less water due to their recirculating systems; and come with hand sanitising dispensers rather than washbasins, cutting out water usage even further.
Reduce your plastic usage — a big topic for discussion. One way to help reduce plastic consumption at events is to look at introducing things such as water fountains, or placing jugs of water on tables for guests, rather than placing bottled water on tables or indeed selling bottles of water.
For conferences, you could look to have sponsorship available for branded water bottles, which delegates can then use and fill up throughout the day.
You could also look towards biodegradable disposable cutlery or even introducing more finger foods that don’t require utensils at all?!
If you’re providing souvenirs, think about what kind of souvenir you’re offering? For example, is it a one-use item that will end up in the bin at the end of the day? Or is it something much more useful that can be taken home and re-used?
Think about your decorations. Sticking with natural, biodegradable items is advised. For example, for a wedding, rose petals are a great alternative to confetti and even rice for that matter!
Make sure to clean up and quickly. Often most event organisers will hire a professional cleaning company to help with the aftermath of an event, especially a significant event with a high volume of people.
During the event, make sure there are enough rubbish bins, so people have a place to put their rubbish, stopping things from being accidentally dropped and blown away. Plus, it also helps to make the final clean up a little bit easier.
Running an eco-friendly event is no small task, but it is achievable.
While decorations and cleaning all matter, event toilets are what will have the biggest impact.
Help to reduce your carbon footprint with eco-friendly portable toilets. As well as alongside some of our other hints and tips mentioned above, you’ll be surprised at the difference you can make.

The truth about hiring plant equipment
There is a lot of hearsay and speculation when it comes to hiring plant equipment for large, ongoing or one-off projects.
There are many, and we mean many plant equipments hire companies to choose from, which makes finding the right information from a trusted source vital, (if you’re to avoid unnecessary expenses.)
This can especially be the case if you’re considering buying new equipment or renting machinery, as a mix of information can be found, depending on the salesperson you’re speaking too!
However, if your project is well underway or even just about to start, and you find that you’re missing vital tools and plant equipment that will not only make you and your teams lives easier but in essence will keep the project moving along, do you really want to be purchasing these pieces hastily and taking away from your bottom line, when you can hire high-quality and in some cases new machinery instead?
In this post, we want to separate fact from fiction, providing you with some high-quality and proven facts about hiring plant equipment, so you can make the best decision for you and your project.
FACT: Renting equipment doesn’t have to be expensive
Many people we speak to believe that renting plant equipment isn’t cheap.
But we believe they don’t always have the full picture.
Yes, the cost of renting equipment does depend on varying factors. For example, how long do you need the equipment for?
If it’s going to be for a long period of time, and we mean a seriously long period, and you’re using one of the basic pieces of heavy machinery which will also be used for future projects too, then yes, in the long-run renting could work out to be slightly more expensive.
But, if you’re using equipment only a handful of times, for short periods, or require a more specialist tool for a particular project, then renting is the perfect fit and is a much cheaper option.
To help with your expense predictions when calculating the cost of your overall project, the first thing is to list out each stage of the project, highlighting what plant equipment would be necessary to complete each stage. You’ll then be able to see with more clarity what equipment you already have and what equipment you require for new and different projects.
At Addplant we can provide you with a hassle-free quotation for all rental equipment, we’re competitive on price, and we can also put a few costing myths to bed!
FACT: You can rent some of the latest plant equipment around
Renting plant equipment doesn’t mean renting old, used, and worn pieces of machinery.
In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
Renting offers you a much wider choice and the pick of some of the latest models and new machinery available.
This is because it is more cost-effective. Renting new equipment is by far much cheaper than forking out thousands to buy a new machine or heavy-duty piece of equipment.
Plus, as the plant hire market is so competitive, no professional hire plant can afford to rent out unreliable and worn-out equipment. What’s more, if you have a long-term relationship and contract with the supplier in question, they will more than likely also replace old models for new when they come into stock.
Renting plant equipment from the professionals at Addplant couldn’t be simpler. With experienced and qualified staff to help you when you need it, we make the whole process of hiring plant equipment as smooth as possible from start to finish.
All of the equipment at Addplant is first-class, quality is never compromised, and we keep our prices extremely competitive.
Knowing the truth about renting heavy machinery and equipment is key to making sure you receive a successful hire.

Do you need Mobile Welfare Units for your site?
Welfare units are primarily found on project sites to ensure that not only are all legal requirements being met but that all workers on site are comfortable and happy.
Creating a happy workforce cannot be underestimated, and making sure you have good welfare units available for use can make all the difference.
Mobile welfare units also offer you convenience and flexibility, as they aren’t fixed, they arrive at you in good condition, and can be kitted out to your specifications.
Win, win!
But what is a mobile welfare unit?
Purpose built, mobile welfare units can provide you and your workers with everything you need while on site. Taking care of all welfare needs during the duration of a project, while also complying with all health and safety regulations.
Providing a static base, these units are great if there is currently no power or water connections on site, as these can be supplied separately and again maintained and managed to a high standard (of course if hired from the right company).
Mobile welfare units are also just that. Mobile. Meaning you can move them around the site with ease, or from project to project if you wish. Mounted on wheel-based trailers, in some cases, these units can even be towed behind your car!
They also don’t take up too much of your time to install, less than 5 minutes, to be precise!
Welfare unit features
A power generator
Bathroom facilities
Drying room
Wash station
Seating areas
Kitchen/dining area with appropriate cooking equipment
You will also find hot and cold running water, providing you with complete peace of mind that your workers’ needs are all taken care of in one, compact unit.
Being self-contained and portable, mobile welfare units are perfect for: –
Construction sites. On some sites, you might find that welfare facilities are off-site, making it slightly inconvenient and a hassle for workers, as well as a pain for management keeping track of who is on and off-site.
Having a mobile welfare unit on site takes away all of this stress and concern. The unit then becomes your facility, and catered to meet yours and your workforce needs.
Outdoor laboratories. Some factories do use outdoor laboratories as part of their overall facility and structure. Mobile units in this sense can be tailored to accommodate laboratory equipment and materials as deemed necessary at the times you need them most.
That’s right. Welfare units don’t just have to be used as welfare facilities; they can be tailored to your specifications and kitted out as you see fit.
Archaeological sites. Archaeological work is usually carried out, outside and mostly in remote and rural environments. For those taking part in an archaeological expedition, it’s always good to know that your welfare needs are being looked after, by a mobile welfare unit being provided for the duration of your project.
It’s important to have a place to cool off, to rest, as well as be able to prepare food and drink when required.
Mobile welfare units for hire
Hiring mobile welfare units should save you time and money in the long run. They should also be comfortable and kitted out to your specifications, offering everything that is reasonable and more to meet site and HSE requirements.
Addplant offers all of this and more. With easy to tow units that are quickly installed and above all competitively and reasonably priced.
We have a range of welfare units to choose from, all suited to different workplaces and specifications, and all HSE compliant.
