the things that zudrick/boggy situationship would do to the entire dynamic, endless hilarity. Zudrick is actually really shy and easily embarrassed and refuses to talk about it but Boggy loves nothing more than to make jokes and references to it, all the while Welly is completely oblivious to whatever’s going on between them, despite the fact that they have loud and frequent sex in a tent like a foot away from her. She only finds out when she accidentally walks in on them, where she screams in horror for a full minute before passing out from sheer mortification

Yeah I’m down with this theory
So, I’ve gone down a bit of a rabbit hole, and I have a conspiracy theory to pitch (that tbh is a little too based in fact to be a true conspiracy, but you’ll see what I mean)
So, in the birdlesque episode of NADDPOD’s D&D court, Emily gives a shout out to her ex, Tommy Siegel, who is an illustrator with a uncanny nack for drawing butts on birds, (click on underlined links for reference)
And I did not know this until I passively scanned the comments today, (shame on me), but apparently Siegel is also the lead guitarist for the band Jukebox The Ghost, alongside two other band members. You may see where this is going.
On their third or fourth album, Safe Travels, the second track is called “Oh, Emily.” Now, that could totally just be a coincidence, but there are a few things that make me think that maybe it isn’t.
1. The only person with a writing credit is Seigel
2. In the music video, the girl “Emily” has dark curly hair with bangs, and wears an orange dress for a large part of the video, (Emily’s favorite color). Siegel also seems to be the main vocalist and the protagonist of the video, something that does not seem to be the case across their works, as he does not seem to be the front man
3. The first line of the chorus “Oh Emily, you're a funny girl and I didn't mean to break your heart.” Sort of speaks for itself, but the rest of the lyrics also feel incredibly on brand, especially once you sit down and actually read them
4. The album was released in 2012, which at this point would be about 13 years ago. Presumably this was written a while before it was released, but that would made Emily abt 26 when the album came out, which works within the vague timeline that I remember in terms of her meeting and eventually marrying Murph. But don’t quote me on that.
That being said I had no idea this band even existed literally until today so if this is common knowledge, then egg on my face, but it kinda seems like it’s likely more than just a strange coincidence.
If anyone is actually a fan of this band, and also NADDPOD/the ax-murph household, feel free to fact check me and or debunk this theory, but it’s been plaguing me ever since I connected the dots and so obviously I had to share

i like how at five guys they're like oh you want one burger okay "ONE LITTLE BURGER" and then the guy cooking the burger is like "ONE LITTLE BURGER FOR BABY FAGGOTS THAT CAN ONLY HANDLE ONE PATTY COMING UP" and then if you can't finish it they make you wear a maid costume and handcuff you to the sink in the men's bathroom

I understand why a lot of fantasy settings with Ambiguously Catholic organised religions go the old "the Church officially forbids magic while practising it in secret in order to monopolise its power" route, but it's almost a shame because the reality of the situation was much funnier.
Like, yes, a lot of Catholic clergy during the Middle Ages did practice magic in secret, but they weren't keeping it secret as some sort of sinister top-down conspiracy to deny magic to the Common People: they were mostly keeping it secret from their own superiors. It wasn't one of those "well, it's okay when we do it" deals: the Church very much did not want its local priests doing wizard shit. We have official records of local priests being disciplined for getting caught doing wizard shit. And the preponderance of evidence is that most of them would take their lumps, promise to stop doing wizard shit, then go right back to doing wizard shit.
It turns out that if you give a bunch of dudes education, literacy, and a lot of time on their hands, some non-zero percentage of them are going to decide to be wizards, no matter how hard you try to stop them from being wizards.

funny phrases to use when something goes wrong instead of jokingly saying "i'm going to kms":
i'm going to kill god
i'm going to delete my blog
i'm going to explode
i'm going to blow up this entire website
i'm going to become the joker
this is going to be my villain origin story
feel free to add on
