Why would we have a problem?
Tumblr media
Good. I don’t think we’ll have a problem with it.

If you're trying to tempt me, it's working.
Tumblr media
Okay, okay. I’ll take half the bed. You get the other half. Sounds perfect, Addy. I can’t wait.

She tilted her head when she heard the knock on the door and after stalling for as long as she could without giving away that she dreaded her friend's stay, she bookmarked her page and set it down on the table beside her chair. Quietly, she rose and smoothed out the wrinkles in her clothes, moving toward the door. A few things were running through her mind that weren't pleasant, but she was dealing with them as best she could. She didn't need to add to her friend's upset and in turn, add to her own misery. When she reached the door, she took in a quiet breath before twisting the knob and pulling open the wooden door. "Susie Q." She greeted the girl with a mischievous twinkle in her eye.
Another thing that intrigued her was out of all the friends she figured Susan had, she had picked her to stay with. Their history was questionable and if things went down that road again, Adeline figured she'd probably be the one that got blamed for it, considering her reputation. For now, she supposed she'd just take it as it came. "Well, c'mon in, buttercup. The place is a bit cramped, and I apologize for that. I've been studying." She moved to let the girl in, glancing fondly at her collection of dragon paraphernalia.
Dragons had, in essence, become her life. "I popped a pizza in the oven and it should be ready in a few. Raid the kitchen as you please, try not to puke on my floors or my furniture and if you need anything, don't be afraid to bug me for it, even if it's a late-night craving run or whatever. Bedroom's the second door on your right and the bathroom's across from it." She clapped her hands together and gave a grin of sorts. "Any questions or can we get this party started?" She queried, her tone almost teasing as the mischievous twinkle in her dark gaze intensified.
Girl talk | Susan
For weeks it seemed as if nothing could go wrong in Susan’s life. She had a fiance that seemed to love her, a daughter that, though not hers biologically, she loved completely, and her dad was still close to her. Everything was going well, until that slut Penny announced the possibilities for father of her child. At that second, Susan really felt like something was completely wrong in her life, but she supposed being lied to and betrayed would do that to a person.
She left the house as soon as Roger had returned from practice, not giving him the time to say anything to her. She already had a suitcase packed with two weeks worth of clothing, including her work clothes. Susan wasn’t going to chance ever having to see him, not unless there was some foolproof exhibit that no one could contest saying that the man hadn’t cheated. She would have a hard time believing it herself if he had never directly told her how he could be when drinking.
When she arrived outside of Adeline’s home, Susan swallowed slightly. She knew that her friend wasn’t one for talking, she had learned that during the few months that she had spent with the dark haired girl. As… Entertaining as their time together had been, talk a lot, they did not. Biting hard on her bottom lip, the redhead stepped up to the door, knocking softly as she adjusted the way she held her suitcase.

You. Are. Taking. The. Bed. And. That's. Final. I like your dark side, Susie Q. It suits you. I'll get the supplies later while I'm out. We can even set it on fire and burn it like the hippy muggles burn the Burning Man.

Addy, I’m barely a month along, I’d be fine on the couch. I don’t want to push you out of your own bed. Practicing voodoo sounds immensely perfect. Poke, stab, rip, tear apart and then sew back together just to permanently write ‘Penny is a whore’ all over it. Something like that.

No sweat, just don't argue when I tell you you're taking the bed. It's more comfortable than my couch, and I'm not the one with a bun in the oven nor will I ever be that person. If it makes you feel better, we could practice voodoo. We'll make straw dolls, tape a picture of Penelope's face on them, and poke them with needles. In your case, I'm guessing it'd be more like stab.

Well the cheater has no right to be as effected by it. Yeah… You’re right. And hey, thanks for letting me stay with you. I don’t think feeling like hexing him every time I see him is good for the baby.

Perhaps but at least, I can say my life is drama-free. Look around at all of the 'relationships.' I'd rather be happy and single than committed and miserable.
Tumblr media
Well you have a sad way of looking at life…

I bet Roger isn't as affected by this as you and the drama is precisely why I steer clear. All it seems to do is bring misery, unless people are dumb enough not to address their problems.
Tumblr media
I only disagree because betrayal wouldn’t hurt as much if it was only mutual companionship.

Okay, let's get something straight: love is for children. There's only mutual companionship and shared misery.

Girl talk | Susan
The last few days had been odd in the sense that Adeline hadn't gotten laid. It bothered her and as she popped her birth control medication for the day, she glanced toward the clock on the wall and let out a disgruntled sigh. She wasn't a therapist and was probably the last person you wanted to talk to when you needed to feel better. She had killed a few of her classmates in the name of a man that had lost the battle he'd been fighting since...well, ever. She didn't know how she'd gotten caught up in Susan's drama but what she did know was that it needed to be resolved quickly before she lost what little sanity was left. She glanced around her bedroom and muttered something obscene under her breath. Her dark hair was tousled, falling in waves down her back and the clothing she wore clung to her curvy figure, proudly showing off her midriff.
She rolled her eyes and collected her drink and her book, making her way back to one of the overstuffed armchairs, where she promptly flopped down unceremoniously and cracked open her book. The stick of a cherry lollipop protruded past her lips and as she tried to focus on the text in her book, she began to ponder things that really didn't matter. A good for instance was how the defeat of Voldemort had changed her life. She had gone from supporting a man that wanted to eradicate the wizarding world of anybody less than pureblood to studying dragons. Dragons, in her opinion, were the best sort of serpent to ever grace the earth. They were magnificent creatures that could breathe fire and destroy entire cities in a matter of minutes. They were the sort of creatures that obtained respect through fear, the sort of beings she aspired to be.
She cut down anybody in her path without a second thought or an ounce of remorse. Some could say she was without a soul or a heart, that she only loved herself. Of course, the latter opinion was oftentimes up for debate. To most, she was cold, calculating, and cruel. She took no prisoners and if you pissed her off enough, she'd strike when you least expected it and she'd always find a way to bring your ruin to fruition. Despite all of that, the select few she did consider friends, she'd kill to protect. Indeed, Miss Towler was a woman of many mysteries, none of which were going to be solved anytime soon, which was just how she preferred it.
