Bumped into a former coworker today and found out some wild ass shit. We worked at a mental health clinic where i did paperwork and while there I felt constantly isolated and confused about why a lot of my coworkers openly disliked me, dispite the effort i put in to being polite and never argueing with anyone. Turns out, everyone thought I had gotten 3 abortions over my time working there and were all being insanely judgemental about it. Why did they think this, you ask? Because I declined alcohol at the staff holiday party, but never appeared pregnant or took maternity leave. Went to three holiday parties over my three years, and here we are. Apparently, in their minds, the only reason an afab person turns down alcohol is because they're pregnant, even when they're planning to abort it?!

So next time you think internet discourse is batshit I promise you a board office guy has said something 8 times as batshit.
