Fast Lock Range
Our FastLock® range of hot melt adhesives are a firm favourite with large food manufacturers, breweries and contract packers throughout the UK for carton erecting, case sealing and general packaging applications.
The LabelLock® range, as its name implies, is a family of labelling wet glues used by hot and cold bottlers and jar fillers, distilleries, breweries, water bottlers and cidermakers,- in fact anyone that labels glass or plastic bottles or jars in large quantities.
Other areas that we are currently providing solutions in for major brand names include pallet stabilization to save packaging material & transit damage, and product assembly.
If you have a requirement and are not sure where to find the answer, drop us a line. If we don't get involved in that particular field we are sure to know someone that can help you.

ClearMelt
Using the latest ClearMelt labelling technology from Alphabond will really maximise your efficiency!
ClearMelt is...
Clean and clear
ClearMelt adhesives stay clearer and will not discolour or degrade in use, thus improving your product presentation and cleanliness - and giving you the ultimate in product presentation - especially where clear or white labels are used.
Safer with lower application temperatures
With applications at lower temperatures, from 120˚C, you have safer working conditions for line operators, less cleaning-up, no smell and no fumes, reducing burn risks and energy costs. Lower melt temperatures (typically 25% cooler than other hot melt adhesives) also won't burn, char or block spray nozzles.

Birkstein Otler Advanced Nozzle
Application equipment and ancillary equipment for bottling and packaging lines, The Birkstein Otler advanced nozzle of a hot melt applicator is often regarded as the most critical part of the unit for hot melt adhesives. As the launch pad for the adhesive before it leaves the machine, this is the last point at which the operator has any control over it before it reaches the substrate.
As modern lean manufacturing practises demand better quality tools so also modern techniques in CAD have allowed ever-finer precision engineered nozzles.
These afford pinpoint accuracy in bead placement and size, giving a new dimension to quality control on the packaging line, - Advanced Nozzle Technology™

Pallet Stabilisation Technology
When it comes to adhesive based glue for stabilising pallets, the practice usually includes placing a small amount of the glue on each of the pallets and as they are stacked upon each other, the adhesive will secure each pallet to the previous which forms a stable unit. Creating uniform stacks minimises over-hang and under-hang thus protecting corners from transit damage due to bumping. Adhesive can also be applied directly to pallets and slip-sheets preventing unit loads from sliding during transportation. Hot or and cold adhesive can be applied in a variety of patterns (bead, swirl or dot) to minimise residue and accommodate most board stock without fibre tear. In addition, adhesive will not damage, deface or obscure packaging, graphics or bar codes.

So What is Wet Glue?
Wet-glue labeling is the process where labels are applied directly onto bottles, packs and boxes or other items by means of an adhesive. Fixing labels to the surface bottles sounds fairly simple until you consider the range of variables facing the Manager on the line.
There are four basic types of wet glue and the adhesives used in synthetic wet-glue labeling are usually starch and water based. The main advantage of wet-glue labeling is that it can be done at speeds hat cannot be achieved with self-adhesive labels.

20th century hot melt adhesives
In the late in the 20th century hot melt adhesives as we know it today really came into its own.
By using FDA approved materials and available in convenient formats for loading into hot melt applicators these adhesives proved an excellent solution to sealing packaging while using  high speed production lines that are commonly used in todays industry.
By using Labelling adhesives that sets in seconds and with very little smell to taint food and automatically applied to packs travelling along the conveyor these enabled costs of fractions of pence to be achieved.

Addressing the challenges that packaging businesses face daily is must in this industry, as a modern manufacturing practices demand better quality tools so also modern techniques in CAD have allowed ever-finer precision engineered nozzles.
A Hot Melt Dispensing System will pay for itself in as little as 12 months and keeps paying you back over its lifetime.

Pallet Stabilisation
Any business who is involved in shipping will understand that when it comes to stabilising pallets during transit there is only one suitable option, by using adhesive based products the security can be guaranteed.  By applying a small amount of the glue to each of the pallets when they are stacked the glue secures all the packages together to form a stable unit.
By creating uniform stacks this minimises over-hang and under-hang which in turn protects the corners of the pallets which may be damaged during transit. Pallet stabilisation adhesives can also be applied straight to the slip sheets and pallets preventing unit loads from sliding during transportation.
The added benefit of doing this also guarantees the products will be in good condition when they reach their destination.
