Hope knocks at my window pane every morning With tired eyes and sleepless nights, braided hair and empty stomach. So, one day I let her in, made her sit by my side And gave her muffins, I have been saving for someone special Asked her if she wanted any more Before I could say anything else hope looked at me again, but this time with teary yet happy eyes Gave all the blessings and a one rupee coin and said. "Thank you, you made me believe in humanity". Hope again knocked on my window pane next morning But this time with undone hair, starving body little eyes and a bunch of pen in his hands I slid my window down and asked him if he would like to have some biscuits? He nodded and I gave him the packet I have kept for my breakfast He took them and smiled, said thank you and walked away. I have never felt so full anyday before. Hope knocked my window pane again after a while But this time with a chirpy voice, tiny beak and a body full of colourful feathers I looked at it and said, I can't offer you anything! It kept sitting on the pane until I switched off the car. It was a red light. Hope met me next day on my way to office This time blooming with all his might on the roadside It's yellow petals dancing with the wind caught my eyes As if trying to tell a story of how difficult it has been to break the rocks and make a way but how the dance in the end made all of it worth it. Hope has a way to turn to us every once in a while only if we remember to look into its eyes and understand that it is us who make or break it. Hope is that beautiful trans woman and that wonderful boy. That tiny little bird and that beautiful yellow flower on the roadside. But most importantly hope is you, looking for yourself before anybody else. So, make sure you stand on your own hopes before hoping from anybody else. ⁣ Wisuda From Home⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ Wisuda kali ini berbeda dengan wisuda-wisuda yang pernah saya lakukan sebelumnya. Wisuda yang pada awalnya akan berlangsung pada 25 April 2020 ditunda hingga waktu yang belum bisa ditentukan. Akhirnya pihak kampus menyelenggarakan wisuda secara online yang berlangsung pada 2 Mei 2020. Ya, wisuda akan dilaksanakan dari rumah masing-masing wisudawan.⁣⁣⁣ Menjadi wisudawan adalah kekhawatiran.⁣⁣⁣ Khawatir menjadi orang yang bahkan tak lebih baik dari mahasiswa.⁣⁣⁣ Menjadi wisudawan adalah kekhawatiran.⁣⁣⁣ Khawatir diri ini terlalu puas dengan besarnya IPK serta kebahagiaan menggunakan toga di hari wisuda. Padahal itu semua hanya kesenangan sementara, sebelum menghadapi kehidupan yang sesungguhnya.⁣⁣⁣ Menjadi wisudawan adalah kekhawatiran.⁣⁣⁣ Khawatir hanya akan menambah beban orang tua karena tak kunjung mendapat tawaran bekerja.⁣⁣⁣ Jadi, teruntuk para wisudawan. Janganlah pernah merasa lebih baik dari mahasiswa hanya karena kalian telah memakai toga di wisuda.⁣⁣⁣ Jangan berbangga, jika selama kuliah belum pernah melakukan hal yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh seorang mahasiswa.⁣⁣⁣ Jangan berbangga, jika selama kuliah hanya sibuk mengejar-ngejar besarnya IPK.⁣⁣⁣ Sebab kalian para wisudawan yang tak memaksimalkan gelarnya selama menjadi mahasiswa, hanyalah sekumpulan orang merugi di mata manusia lainnya.
