12 yrs ago today I lost my dear friend John Glick to an act of another’s unimaginable selfishness. I made this for him, off next Goldberg Sisters LP, avail for a few hours here.
So, CDbaby thinks 2 copies of my old band’s album is too many to hold on to. But they said it like this:
After reviewing our current inventory and checking recent sales data, it has come to our attention that we currently have too many copies of Rebuilding Season in stock.
With hundreds of new titles arriving every day, our warehouse is reaching capacity. As such, it is important for us to keep a close eye on inventory levels and manage excess inventory. In that spirit, we are reaching out to you to request that you help us reduce the quantity of any overstocked items in your account.
At your earliest convenience, please do the following: log into your CD Baby artist account with your username and password and click on the Inventory Management link in the Manage Account section. There will be detailed instructions there on how to manage your inventory. You can have us either ship the excess stock back to you at your expense or process the overstock for recycling materials at no cost.
As of now, we have too many copies of the following titles:
Artist: North Sea Story, Album: Rebuilding Season as of 2017-Jun-05, you have 2 total, with excess stock of 1
Please let us know by taking the steps above no later than 2017-Aug-04 . In the event we do not hear back from you by this date, we will automatically recycle any excess stock.
We recognize this is an inconvenience to you. We apologize for that and appreciate your timely feedback and understanding.
Sincerely,
CD Baby’s Inventory Team
Need some tips on how to prevent your stock from being overstock?
.. When sending in restock, always send the amount requested. Sending in too many copies is a sure fire way to trigger an overstock notice.
.. Promote and market your project as much as possible! Steady sales will keep your stock from sitting around on the shelf.
.. Have a sale! Reduce the price of your album for a short amount of time to increase sales.
.. More info about promoting and marketing your project can be found in our DIY Musicians Blog which you can find at the following link: http://diymusician.cdbaby.com/

It would be pretty awesome to have a troop of weird kids cover your under appreciated masterpiece in its entirety 40 years later. Gene Clark thanks you.
