Animation has been around for how many decades? Many African-Americans have contributed to the medium as leaders and characters resembling themselves as leads in their productions over a spread-out span of decades in TV and feature. Why is a major studio producing a CGI animated feature film starring an African American character considered “Revolutionary?” What is it suggesting by labeling it a revolt?

Who’s patting themselves on the back for this? And why? What century do we live in?
