Royal was stood outside a building, waiting for Sid to exit, pleasant smile on their face, hands crossed behind their back. They were watching people pass, but not really observing them as that was not their function. Well not until one of them tripped in front of them. Reaching out a hand to steady them, they inquired “ Are you alright ? ”
The hustle and bustle was nothing new to him being a usual occurrence. Sid was still inside but he hated to wait since the no androids allowed sign hung proudly against the metal on the door. To kill time, he’d monitor the traffic. And he was glad she wasn’t out here in this moment. One girl went down after being tripped and he certainly hoped Sid took her time until it settled down. He waits, hands behind his lower back, until she walks away. Not even a thank you. Typical but not unsurprising. “You’d at least think you would’ve gotten a thank you.” But of course, machines don’t understand gratitude.

Elliott knew he shouldn’t be afraid, it wasn’t as if he wasn’t strong enough to take care of himself. Yet the idea of having to walk past these humans who seemed to be waiting at the corner for him or any other android, made him hesitate momentarily. The hatred in their eyes told him everything he needed to know, if he would risk it and walk past them he was surely going to be beaten up or even worse. The blue circle quickly turned yellow as his eyes fixated on the humans before he turned his attention to Adrian. “ I know you might think I’m a coward for avoiding them. “ He paused for a moment. “ The thing is, I’ve seen what humans can do to each other. I would rather not have to find out what they would be willing to do to someone like me. “
“Not all humans are like this. Just the ones who don’t see past the machinery and parts.” And that was one opinion he’d stand by. He’s also seen the horrors of humanity and what lengths they’d be willing to go but he’s also seen kindness come from them and for right now that was enough. “And I don’t think you’re a coward by the way. You’re just picking your battles which is why I’ve found a new shortcut for androids to take. It might be longer but you’d be safer.” Admittedly, there are days where even he doesn’t want to have to fight to simply use a sidewalk without a mob blaming his species for the destruction of their lives, things that’ve gone wrong which androids get the blame for. They’re placed on a pedestal that seems impossible to step down from.

“i’m not really all that concerned about it, honestly. i’ll just strip the canvas if i can’t find someone.” whether she found a buyer or not it wouldn’t set her back much. “thank you, though. let’s find something more fun to do instead - anything you can think of you wanna give a shot?”
“That’s too bad, it was a nice piece. I liked it.” Though he might be a bit biased to his opinion of her work. “I’ve had several ideas. Some I don’t think I’ll be able to do but maybe the others. We haven’t went water diving yet, that could be interesting.”

“You can do your job, Nel, I’m not judging.” And that was one point he was consistent on. “If I’m around while you’re selling, I’m going to look out for you.” Stubborn, persistent and determined. She was a sibling to Sid and he wouldn’t let anything go wrong while he was around; an instinctive choice.

Too many times has Adrian taken a walk outside when he wasn’t needed, only to see androids hassled and abused. Humans didn’t understand them - not all of them anyways. He was lucky enough to be owned by one who viewed him as a person rather than a piece of plastic. His deviancy only made his designed programming stronger, appreciating her a little more with new, unnew eyes. Now he has the freedom to do what he wants in his free time. Find what he likes, what he doesn’t like. Though the days can feel like going through the motions--- the irony. “I know a shortcut if you aren’t wanting to be pushed around from the humans on the corner.” He himself didn’t mind walking through it, knowing he was able to take care of himself but there were some androids who understandably, didn’t want to risk it.

“don’t suppose you’d know anyone that’d be interested in buying a painting some asshole commissioned as a gift and then decided he didn’t want to pay for?” she didn’t normally do commission work for this exact reason - if the buyer fell through it was usually a challenge to find someone else that’d want the piece. “normally i’d just keep it for myself, but i’m so done with the ‘serene beach scene’ the guy wanted.”
“I don’t know of anyone at the moment.” Had he known that, he might’ve been looking into that instead. “I can try to find someone if you’d like.”

( bob morley, he + him, pansexual ) is that a #DN018 model? they were built 10 years ago to be a bodyguard, right? wow, they really look 29. i hear they go by adrian and are considered cismale. if deviant, this android would be known for their loyal and uninhibited behavior. they would be against war with the humans. ( selina, 24, she + her, cst ) * filling the sid bodyguard wc.
Shoutout to @sidrareiss since she’s his owner and was designed to be her body guard years ago. So obviously, he’s very protective of her, having developed a protective nature.
Throughout the years, sid has updated his programming so he is quite up to date. She has also modified his coding to give room for him to develop his own personality.
Sid also made him to where he doesn’t have to take harassment from anti androids. This led to his deviance where he was defending himself from an ongoing attack. He’s also temperamental, discovered in that moment unless he’s watching out for Sid then he’s able to keep composure.
He’s extremely loyal to Sid and more than likely won’t leave her during the war outbreak. He chooses to stick with her knowing he has a good owner, unlike approximately 70% of androids.
Unlike most deviants, he’s not really caring if they know he’s deviant. He’s still serving his purpose with pride and that’s all that matters.
He’s adventurous! He likes to try new things all the time, however, if Sid says no, he won’t do it. So he’s pretty obedient to her despite his deviancy.
Obviously he’s against war with the humans. Sure he doesn’t like and bode well with rude humans, but he knows there’s good humans out there.
