Beautiful life Chapter 1:
It was getting dragged to a concert; you don't want to be at sucks. But being best friends with the main act kind of has its perks like being backstage and helping out. I wasn't helping out right now since my best friend didn't need help at the moment. Since I was a soccer player at my college, I was juggling the soccer ball that I brought with me. One of the security guards, JJ, came over and grabbed the ball in the air before I could kick it again.
I said, “Hey!”
JJ said, “You should get to the dressing room. We're going to start the meet and greet right now.”
I sighed before grabbing my soccer ball from him and letting it roll before me as I kicked it towards the dressing room; we all left our belongings and hung out before the show started. I left my phone in one of the duffels that were in the room. I picked it up as I sat on the counter in front of the mirror. I checked my messages and saw one from my best friend, Valentina Rosa.
*Message from Val*
“Hey, girlie! I haven’t seen or heard from you in a while, so I thought I would tag team with you. I hope you're having fun on tour as the group suffers in the heat dying with sprints and everything. LOL. FaceTime with me later tonight when you guys get back onto the bus. I need to tell you stuff face to face then over message. Anyways, have fun with the show tonight. See you later.”
I just laughed as I read her message. I tapped on my phone to reply and said that I would FaceTime her later and have fun with practice. I replied to a couple of messages from my friends when the dancers came in with my best friend.
My best friend said, “Hey, what's going on with you?”
I just laughed and said, “I'm on tour with you. It must mean I'm the crazy one for saying yes to 3 months of hanging out with you fools.”
Everyone exclaimed and yelled "hey!" as they laughed and as Caleb's manager, our stepmom, Scarlett, walked in.
She said, “Guys, get ready. You go on in a couple of minutes.”
Scarlett looked at me and sighed before saying, “you need to get dressed as well. Wear something nice.”
I said, “or what? It’s not like I'm the one performing tonight. Caleb is.”
She said, “sweetheart, please just do it for me.”
“Fine”
I grabbed my clothes from my duffel and changed. All the boys looked the other way when I said, “you're good.”
I got changed into a dress and walked out the door as the guys followed me, and they walked towards the opening of the stage, and one of the workers backstage gave me a red microphone that matched my brother's microphone, which he was holding. Only his was a dark blue.
He was putting in his in-ears when Scarlett said, “you're on, Vassa.”
I walked on stage and said, “what's up, Chicago?!”
The crowd went crazy.
I announced the supporting acts, and the girls in the crowd were still going crazy. The minute I got backstage, Scarlett pulled me aside, away from the dancers and my brother.
I asked, “Scarlett, what's going on?”
When we got to the dressing room, Scarlett said, “You’re going to Hawaii.”
She opened the door to see my mom with her boyfriend, Brandon.
I scoffed and said, “no. I'm not going to Hawaii because you want me to. I'm supposed to go back to LA after tomorrow's concert in New Jersey. I have a life to get back to in California. Dad said I could go back to LA after tomorrow.”
Scarlett said, “I'm sorry, sweetheart, but some things changed, and your dad and I agree this would be best.”
I said, “I'm 21, and I live on my own. I've been taking care of myself since I was 16. I need to get back to practice and play. I've been gone long enough.”
My mom said, “you have no choice. You're coming back with me tonight, and you're staying there until you start school.”
I said, “my season starts in August. I need to be with my team. I'm not going.”
Scarlett said, “Vassa. You need to go. Please.”
“Fine, but next time Caleb goes on tour, don't ask me to come.”
I grabbed my stuff from the dressing room and went out the back door, and went to the bus we had for the tour. Once I got to the bus, I started to pack all of my things. As I walked out with all my stuff, I got an Uber and told the driver to go to the airport.
I got to the terminal I needed to get to and got my ticket to go to Hawaii. The lady helping me said, “Do you have any luggage that you want to check-in?”
I nodded my head and set my suitcase onto the weight thing between the two counters.
The lady looped a sticker she had printed around the handle and said, “you're all set. Go through security, and you will see your terminal right away, miss.”
I thanked her before walking over to security. After security and everything, as I got to my terminal, people had started to board, so I got in line. Once I was on the plane, I found my seat in first class. Since I had to go to Hawaii, I might also just use the card I got from my parents when they got divorced to buy a first-class ticket.
By the time we landed in Oahu, I had gone to grab my suitcase and walked to the parking lot that had long-term parking. I found my Jeep Wrangler parked where I left it a couple of months ago. I threw everything into the truck before getting into the driver's seat and leaving. I drove to the house that my mom and Brandon bought me. They're paying for the bills and everything since my parents divorced.
I got there, and once everything was in my closet, I made some food. It got so late that I didn't bother to FaceTime with Valentina. I just sent a text to her that I wouldn’t see her for the rest of the summer and that I was in Hawaii. The next day when I got up, I just hung around the house until my phone went off. I knew it was my brother because he set one of his songs for his ringtone.
*Phone Conversation*
Caleb: "when you were going to tell me mom came to the concert last night and dragged you out to Oahu?"
Vassa: "Well, I didn't have a choice, did I? I just grabbed my duffel and got my stuff from the bus and booked it to the airport."
C: "Well, you should've called me. I know you hate being in Hawaii."
V: "Okay, first off, I don't hate being here; it’s just mom. I mean, every time something goes wrong, I'm here. Or when everything's fine, I'm here. I don't even know why mom wants me out here anyways. I mean, she has her life to worry about, and I can't be back in LA for the tournament that's this weekend."
C: "crap, well, does she know? I mean, she has to let you go."
V: " I doubt it. I mean, come on, it’s mom."
C: "I'll talk to Dad. See what he can do to get you out to LA before Saturday morning."
I said bye to him and hung up.
I didn't hang around the house long enough for my mom to find me there. I grabbed my duffel since I didn't unpack it last night and left for this place I found and renovated it. The landlord keeps it open and kept it as a gym. The owner and his wife kept it available for the high school and college kids around the area. I popped up and saw one of my best friends here in Oahu.
He turned and said, “Vassa Rosa”
I said, “Zachery Noshimuri.”
We both laughed as I hugged him.
He said, “I thought you said you would be in New Jersey today and be back on a plane to Cali later tonight.”
I said, “that was the plan until my evil mother and her boyfriend decided to pop up in Chicago and said, you're coming to Oahu and staying with us until school starts.”
He said, “wait, hold up, the evil mother?”
I laughed and said, “yea. I have a tournament this weekend which means Caleb is talking to Dad, trying to figure out if I can get on a flight at least by tonight or tomorrow morning.”
Zach said, “nice. So you want to go a few rounds in the cage? Get the anger out?”
I said, “sure, but who's brave enough to get in the cage with me?”
He said, “who else?”
I laughed and said, “alright. meet up with you in ten minutes.”
He said, “okay.”
By the time we started to fight in the cage to get some exercise and have fun, people at the gym began to gather around and watch us. I shrugged it off and got on with my life. Later that day, I got a text from Caleb.
*Message*
Flight's in 4 hours. Get changed and ready for the tournament. See you there
I was already showered and changed, and I was ready to go. The minute I landed in LA, I got a Uber to drive me back to my house, and I just left everything in my room and changed into my jersey and grabbed my soccer duffel and booked it to school. My school campus was super close to where I lived, so I ran to the field.
Coach Oliva said, “you're late.”
I said, “haha, bite me. I just got off of a flight.”
Coach O said, “that's true. Get going, Miss Evans.”
As the game started, it had flown by since it was like go, go, go. We ended up winning the tournament. As I grabbed my stuff and walked up the stadium’s stairs, I see my father's SUV in the parking lot.
As my dad drove back to his house, he asked “since when did you hate being in Hawaii?”
“I don't, dad. It's just weird to be there when something is happening here in LA. You know that I had the tournament today, and yet you still let mom and Brandon take me to Hawaii.”
“Well, I'm sorry. It won't happen again unless I clear it with you and your brother. Sound good?”
I said, “yea. Where's Scarlett?”
Dad said, “she should be home from work. Caleb's probably hanging out with his friends. Plus, he does live in his own house.”
I said, “right.”
Dad asked, “Do you want to stay for dinner? I could drive you home after dinner?”
I said, “yea. I'll stay.”
Once we got back to my dad's place, I walked to my room and showered again. By the time I went downstairs and into the dining room, my dad and Scarlett were already sitting down and talking about Caleb's upcoming tour or whatever. I sat down next to my dad and across from Scarlett.
I said, “so when does Caleb's tour start?”
Scarlet said, “probably not till New Year's. He needs to work on the album and be in the studio.”
I nodded as we all continued to eat dinner. After dinner, I left my duffel in the laundry room since I stuck all my clothes in the washing machine. I just grabbed one of Caleb's sweatshirts that he left here and put it on as I walked down the stairs. I saw my dad and Scarlett talking to someone I recognized. It was my uncle Luka.
I said, “Hey, Uncle Luka. What's going on?”
He said, “Hey, pumpkin. I'm just here to talking to your dad about work.”
I said, “oh, okay. Dad, you don't have to take me home if you have to talk about work. I can just take the SUV and just bring it back next weekend for the barbeque.”
He said, “are you sure?”
I said, “yea. I'll be fine. Where are the keys?”
Scarlett popped out of nowhere and handed me the keys to the car. I kissed my dad, uncle, and stepmom good night before going to the garage and starting the vehicle. The minute I got home, I crashed out. The next couple of days flew by, with soccer practice and me helping Caleb in the studio. We were sitting in his studio with one of the producers on his album when we started to talk about the family gathering happening the next day.
Caleb asked, “ready to see the family?”
I said, “A little bit. What about you?”
Caleb said, “same. I mean, we haven't exactly seen them since Christmas.”
I said, “technically, we both saw the whole family for New Year's Day. After that, I think we kind of avoided going to family gatherings because we didn't want to go, and we were busy with our lives.”
We both laughed.
Caleb said, “Well, one thing I know for sure is going to happen.”
I asked, “what?”
He said, “we're getting bombarded with all the questions tomorrow.”
I laughed before saying, “that is true.”
We finished up at the studio and got into Caleb's Challenger.
He asked, “do you want to get dinner?”
I said, “Yeah, sure.”
We ended up going to Olive Garden since it was the only thing close to Caleb's house. By the time dinner was over, we were on the way home.
He asked, “do you just want to go back to my house?”
I was too tired to answer, so I just said, “hmmm.”
Caleb just chuckled and said, “I'll take that as a yes.”
A few minutes later, I heard my door open, and Caleb picked me up, carried me inside, and put me in the guest room.
I said, “night, C.”
He said, “night, baby sis. Love you.”
He kissed my forehead before leaving and going to his room across the hall.

hows trainer!Ethan going Le?
He missed you. Ethan missed your presence around the gym the last few months. He’d catch himself at reception some days just staring out onto the gym floor—hoping to catch a glimpse of your smile. That dammed smile that had him bending backwards just to see.
Ethan sat onto of the bench in the staff room. 6am starts where never his favourite. Especially when backed up after an even later night. He savoured the flavour of the coffee he’d made in an attempt to look more alive. The aromatics of the hazelnut syrup he’d dashed in at last minute tantalising his taste buds. A yawn escaping as he closed his eyes—head resting against the wall as his legs hung down, swaying ever so slowly.
“You on reception E?” Grayson poked his head back into the staff room, Ethan groaned when he looked at his watch.
“I have five minutes, don’t bother me.”
“You look like absolutely garbage.” Grayson laughed as he walked in, the rest of his body finally following his head. Tracing over to where Ethan sat. Plopping beside him. Early morning? I didn’t even here you come home.”
“I didn’t, I slept in the PT office.” Graysons eyes went wide. Ethan groaned. “I was too tired to drive man, I keep extra clothes in my locker, the PT office isn’t armed—I didn’t finish with clients till ten.” It had been a twelve hour day backed up by another 12 hour day.
“Chance is gonna kill you when he finds out your over working yourself man.” Grayson placed his hand on Ethans shoulder lovingly—borderline concerned for his brother. But not enough to actively do anything about it at this point in time. “Just slow down man—don’t burn out.”
The difference between Ethan and Grayson wasn’t much. They both had very diverse client lists. They both worked long dedicated hours. One of the main differences though—Ethan worked reception hours, Grayson taught Les-millis. Pump and combat, sprint and RPM. The over 50’s adored Graysons classes—a lively and energetic trainer he’d been called. Ethan knew better than to fall for it, he knew Graysons classes were always a hit because of one thing. Pure sex speak appeal.
Ethan taught his fare share of classes too, HIIT and cross-fit classes. But mixed in with his client session and his reception hours. He felt as if he lived at Life-Fit. Finding himself shoving more and more things into his locker. Clothes, shower products, pillow and blanket. It was a cycle he couldn’t quit seem to break. Ethan Dolan was never one that learnt how to say no.
“I’m fine bro—chill, beside, you just wasted my last five minutes of my peace and quiet.” Ethan huffed as he sculled the rest of his coffee. His feet hitting the ground with a thud. Walking out into the reception area just as the kids crèche was opening. 9am on the dot. Mums and dads alike bringing along there little ones ranging from 6-weeks to 12-years-old. Ethan could argue it was one of his favourite parts of his day. Giving out stamps to the little tots, watching their faces light up with enormous smiles over something as simple as a stamp.
“Hey Ethan!” You beamed, strolling in your little girl, sleeping soundly after a morning feed. Full and satisfied and very sleepy. Ethans eyes lit up so bright—he swore he felt his heart skip a beat and then some. Just drinking in the sight that was you.
“Clov!” Ethan smiled, the corners of his mouth turning upwards, pinning his cheeks. “Clover Harris, what bring you here this fine morning.” Ethan leaned over the counter on his elbows to peep your little one. Cooing as he saw her sleeping. “Little Lani.” You rocked your stroller back and forth. Cheeks hot with a bashful grin.
“I got clearance last week, gonna try get back into things slowly, thought I’d see how Lani goes in the crèche!”
“Oh nice! Yeah that’s so awesome!” Ethan couldn’t remember a time where he didn’t want to give you the world. It was rather pathetic really. Especially since you were in one of those weird relationships with this guy Jarred. Ethan hated Jarred with a passion—he’d seen the way he treated you. He’d picked up on the way you acted differently around him when Jarred was around. Nevertheless it was none of Ethans business, he’d settle for having you in his life if just for a moment if he were so lucky. “She’s already getting so big! She looks so different now, how you feeling?” Ethan looked up as you sighed. Watching behind your shoulder as Jarred finally caught up—an arm wrapping around your waist. “Sup.” Ethan nodded, Jarred just winked. He couldn’t stand Ethan, he knew what he stood to loose if you ever opened your eyes.
“I’m okay, just nervous, I’m sure everything’s gonna be fine though, think I’ll just walk on the treadmill for a while—take it easy.”
“C’mon Clov, you gotta get that body back.” Jarred teased. “Gotta work extra hard.” You shrugged off the comment, Ethan just stared. Speechless—he knew the danger postpartum mums were in in terms of mental health issues, learning to love their changed bodies. He hated the way your smile dissipated—replaced with a sad chuckle.
“I think you should take it easy, returning to exercise after—“ Ethan tried to be the voice of reason, but Jarred just cut him off, leaving a dollar on the counter for Lani’s visit to the crèche. Smirking as he chewed his gum, leading you towards the crèche with your daughter—an extension of you.
“Thanks mate, you can keep the opinions to yourself—I’ll take it from here.”

Hey guys 👋 yesterday was a mess. I’d done some digging and realised for some reason or another I’d been shadow banned—while in the process of trying to contact tumblr support I also started moving my Master-list over to another account. Which ended up not being a viable option.
I’d appreciate it if we could get this circulating again, I did unfortunately remove Agent A, from the Masterlist. I think I have more potential to make it better. but yeah this is where you’ll find all the goodies like Agent Carter and the Interview saga. It’s linked in my bio but definitely needs to be shown some love ❤️
