Today, May 18th, is Tessa's Bright Day!

And in honor of our master chef, how about some Starland food facts?

Zing is what Im pretty sure is the Starland equivalent of Tea. It is described to be the most popular drink on Starland, it can be served hot or iced, and is brewed from bright leaves. The reason Im only 'pretty sure' is because in the book gloassaries (not the Wishers Guide) it is described as a "traditional Starland breakfast drink" that can be hot or iced...which also could describe coffee?

Zoomberry cake is one of a few desserts we know of. It's a cake that mainly consists of Zoomberries which gives it its pink color. At first I thought it was sort of like Jello in the middle but on second glance its just glowing.

Star Darlings Band Zine

A free fandom zine about the first 6 of the 12 Star Darlings! It introduces Sage, Libby, Leona, Vega, Scarlet, and Cassie.

Yeah! The first 12 books have audiobooks that have been uploaded to Youtube

TheStoryTeller has uploaded them in parts but Ive also found them as full videos through Google Play Books? Ive made a playlist of them on my Clover Starling Youtube Channel

The fact the other two books (Good Wish Gone Bad and Stealing Starlight) dont have audio books that have been uploaded yet makes me think there may not be one out there but im not certain on that.

I am proud to announce that I have acquired the Style and Sparkle book as well as the Wish Board

I haven't seen much about these items thus far so I think this is a much needed post 👍

During this time on Starland, Starlings will celebrate the Festival of Illumination.

It's a holiday about celebrating family and friends as well as the stars that shine in the sky that provide light even in the darkest of seasons.

The Wisher's guide says this about it in its glossary:

"Arriving midway through the Time of Shadows, this holiday is a welcome break from the bleak cold season. It's a celebration of lights and family. Millions of tiny twinkle lights cover buildings and hang in the sky. Music, dancing, special foods, and sharing the love of family lift everybody's spirits during this dreary time of year."

We can't be for sure when 'midway through the Time of Shadows' is, but it's definitely a winter holiday.

After Disney privating everything, I've been able to reupload the episodes and music videos

As for the shorts, I was able to download all of them but only upload 2 of them as the rest had strict copyright

The official Star Darlings YouTube channel is no longer available!!

It is currently unclear as to why

As of October 4th, they privated the remainder of the Star Darlings videos

Hopefully this means they're putting them on Disney+ but who knows

Also if you have the episodes in other languages or have the knowledge of how to transcribe or subtitle in different languages, I would love to add subtitles for as many languages as I can so Star Darlings can be accessible to more people!

Background Starlings

Starlings come in all shapes and sizes, just like Wishlings! We have illustrations of the 12 Star Darlings, Vivica, Lady Stella, Lady Cordial, and the Professors As well as 5 extra students!

Those who have watched the episodes will recognize the purple haired boy His name is Ganymede! And serves as Libby's love interest in Episode 5 "Super Zoomy"

The other male starling is Leebeau He shows up in book 8 "Astra's Mixed Up Mission" as Astra's love interest

The other three student's identities currently remain a mystery My theory is that they are mentioned in the books somewhere, but I'll have to weed out the other background characters to find out

Also, Fun Fact Ganymede is named after one of Jupiter's moons (which is named after a character from a Greek myth)

Happy (late) Bright Day Astra!

Astra's star passion is to be the most famous athlete on Starland Her family is what she would consider "normal": her mom, dad, sister, and brother She loves her family and they support her a lot

Astra is part of Starling Academy's E-Ball team The Glowin' Glions, which is the best team in all of Starland! E-Ball isn't the only sport Astra is good at though, shes actually good at every sport! and she has the trophies to back it up

Her wish pendant is her wristbands And her power crystal is Quarrelite

Happy Bright Day Piper!

Piper's star passion is to be an author and to improve herself Her family is one of few who live in the Gloom flats Not a lot of people live there because it gives them the creeps but Piper enjoys it

She loves finding the meaning in dreams, its something she shares with her mother Her dreams can predict the future if she can figure out what they're trying to say

Her wish pendant is a set of bracelets And her power crystal is Dreamalite

Adora's star passion is to be the top fashion designer on Starland Her family works at their family-owned clothing store in Radiant Hills, Starland City She learned how to use a sewing machine at her family's shop

She loves combining science and fashion! She made the Star Darling band's costumes for the Starshine Day battle of the bands

Her wish pendant is a watch And her power crystal is Azurica

Marine Life on Starland?

It's pretty strange, but there's no fish in Starland's waters. I don't know if there are plants in the water but there's definitely not fish or mammals.

During Libby's adventures on Wishworld, she visits an aquarium with her wisher and is surprised to discover fish and seals!

9. Headmistress of Starling Academy. She came up with a secret plan to send twelve students to Wishworld to collect wish energy.

10. There were band tryouts, and a machine called the _____ chose the members. It also named the band the Star Darlings. That made 9-Across very upset, as it gave up our secret name.

Down:

1. This mean student wanted to be lead singer of the band, but she lost. I don’t think we’ve heard the end of it.

2. The head of admissions. She stutters when nervous and trips a lot. Everyone feels a little sorry for her.

4. It was determined that this student’s assignment as a Star Darling was a mistake, and she was replaced.

6. All the Star Darlings who have tasted this Wishworld drink love it.

8. Student who went on third mission. Her wish pendant was mysteriously ruined. She also did not collect any wish energy.
