Marinette is under the impression he flirts like that with everyone and isn't serious

She calls him out on it and chat realizes he only acts like that towards ladybug... and Marinette???

Breaks his "shes just a friend" illusion

He ends up having an internal crisis and tells ladybug

"You know i love you milady, but I think i just figured out i have a crush on a civilian..."

"Thats great chat!"

"Yeah.. ive been visiting Marinette as chat for awhile now and it just happened"

Fanfiction Prompt

Adrien finds out who is behind His Lady’s mask. But Marinette has always been awkward around him so even though he loves her even more now that he knows who she is, he is determined to be her best friend and partner and support outside of the mask, too.

Meanwhile, Marinette feels like her brain is about to leak out of her ears as both Chat Noir and Adrien are paying her civilian identity so much attention all of a sudden… is it possible to be in love with both at once?

He let out a long breath, looked away. “I never in a million years thought I ever could be. But the honest truth, Marinette? Yes, I am."

Sometimes I think about random interactions and consider:

Rena Rouge, Multimouse, Adrien.

Soon they all look at each other confused. Then Rena goes after Multimouse and they start going at it—more like Rena attacking Multimouse whos doing nothing. This gives Adrien time to run away. (The akuma is just enjoying the show).

Chat Noir eventually shows up and breaks things up. “Woah there Aly—Rena I mean. Just take a deep breath.” Chat tries to calm her down, but he instead makes things worse. Rena just blows up.

“The ONLY person who knows who I am is Carapce! BECAUSE HES MY BOYFRIEND!” Oh no. They all done messed up. They forget what the actual problem was: the akuma.

Marinette: In this whole time I’ve known you, when have you shown the slightest interest in a girl?

Alya: Penny in the air...

Marinette: I’ve known you for about 5 years. I’ve seen you practically everyday! Name one girl you’ve paid the slightest bit of attention to.

Adrien leaves, Marinette points to herself (“me?”), Alya laughs.

Marinette: Oh my god! Adrien!

Alya: And the penny drops.

Marinette: How did you come up with your hero name?

Alya: I just came up with it on the spot-

Marinette: Hmm.. Maybe, Ladyfox?

Alya: Nice! It’s kinda like Ladybug but instead of “bug” it’s “fox”.

Marinette: Yeah-
