the biggest lie i ever told & how my husband came to protect it

for years i have lived this lie telling everyone i am allergic to peanuts because i hate the smell of peanut butter and don’t really like peanut butter that much but whenever i used to tell people i don’t like peanut butter they’d get all defensive like “peanut butter is amazing how do you not like it?!” and then i’d have to go into this whole thing to defend my taste buds.

but then i got tired of it and started telling people that i’m just allergic to peanuts because that way it’s not my fault that i hate the smell of peanut butter - it’s now like i’m a sad little baby who will never get to taste peanut butter ever in her life and everyone feels sad for me.

but the problem is that i really love peanut m&ms and so now i can only eat peanut m&ms when i’m at home in secret. the only person who knows my lie is my husband. and so at work this evening we had a small celebration for someone and they had peanut m&ms and i really wanted some but obviously couldn’t eat them in public because then people would know my peanut secret. 

and so when we got home after work my husband tipped his jacket over and emptied his pockets and at least thirty or so peanut m&ms fell out of his pockets and he whispered, “i was sneakily accumulating them all night for you because i could see the pain in your eyes.”

and if that isn’t love then i don’t know what is.

Today we all got together with just one purpose: celebrate Kim Jonghyun's life, his existence. Total strangers got together, cried together, comforted and supported each other. Stories, feelings and tears were shared but at the end of the day we all love and care for Jonghyun and will always miss him... ❤ Thank you so much for the opportunity of organising such an important and meaningful event for me, this was something I really needed to do for myself and I am so glad it helped so many others. I am so grateful to every single person that turned up and was a part of this, you can't imagine how much you have warmed my heart. I hope today was as meaningful for you as it was for me. Please take care of yourselves. Please be strong! This memorial should hopefully stay up for the next few days, so if anyone wants to pay their respects you are more than welcome to. It's near the entry for the Manchester Cathedral, at the cross on the right. A huge thank you to the staff for being so kind and giving us permission to the memorial in the cathedral's premises. Lastly, Kim Jongyun, I miss you so much every day, it's unbelievable, but I will give my best to let you go, I will give my best to smile, just for you. You will forever be my shining star! Rest in peace my Angle. And never forget, you have done incredibly well. I loved you, I love you and I will always love you. He left you alone for just a second 

But that didn’t stop a random person from coming up to you 

Dangling mistletoe over your head

“Hey there~ Guess this means we should kiss~”

It was like someone flipped a switch

Because before you could even begin stammering out a reply, Zen was back

Genuinely ready to fight them then and there

please don’t we’re at a party I don’t want to get kicked out

He manages to intimidate them without ripping their head off, so they slip back into the crowd

And he stays by your side for the rest of the night, being sure to plant kisses on you whenever he can

Yoosung

He wanted to stay by you through the night

But he left to get you both some drinks

You kind of slipped back to the side of the room

But didn’t realise that you’d walked right under the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling

It became clear when someone slid up and pointed it out to you with  grin on their face

And you clearly didn’t like where it was heading

So Yoosung just comes back 

Telling them to back off, it’s clear you don’t want to kiss them

still wants to stay calm but the boy is livid

The guy walks away, muttering something under his breath

And Yoosung keeps making sure that you’re okay

Jumin

He got pulled aside to talk to a business associate

And, promising to return as soon as possible, went to meet them

Before long, you’d shifted over to the seats

And someone else decided to join you, draping their arm around you and slurring something about mistletoe being above the two of you

You didn’t even have time to reply

Because Jumin was already back

With his lips pressed to yours

guy moves fast oh bOY

And then he casually just shoos the guy away?

wow okay

Jaehee

Jumin as Jaehee said was calling her for “business reasons, probably”

So quickly excused herself, while you decided to go and get a drink for when she came back

Little did you know, there was mistletoe hanging directly over the array of drinks

And there happened to be someone already stood there

They noticed it was there before you did and wasted no time in pointing it out

Despite trying to nicely decline, they refused to let “Christmas customs” be ignored

Luckily Jaehee returned at that moment baehee to the rescue

Telling them politely to please stop bothering you

Somehow managing to be unnerving at the same time?

“I’m glad I came back when I did. Turns out Jumin just wanted to talk about cat-related Christmas decorations again.”

Seven

He was going back for another plate of food (”it’s too good to ignore, MC!”) so you returned to talking to the other guests

Until someone you didn’t recognise started gesturing for you to come over 

Not wanting to be rude, you went over to them

As soon as you reached them, they pulled some mistletoe from behind their back and held it above you

Frozen to the spot, you managed to make eye-contact with Seven from the table a little way away as the person closed their eyes, going in for a kiss

And they did get a kiss

But when they opened their eyes, it wasn’t you stood in front of them

It was Seven

Meanwhile, you were watching safely from a few feet away

They crept away silently, causing both you and Seven to burst into laughter as soon as you reunited

you two schemers would never go to a Christmas party without a plan for every possible situation
